I felt plastic bag scene more similar to replication of hats in prestige movie where Tesla invents a machine for Hugh Jackman for his trick which also replicates person. Another 2 cents:
1.Shilpa in 2nd encounter with Berlin touches his forehand in the standoff and storms(kinda of curse) and that's where Berlin gets hit with TV and dies.
2. While Shilpa loses his son in a shady market, I think i saw samantha's college boyfriend in kandu vatti shop which shilpa enters while searching.

Your analysis is very good. It is a lovely movie for those who like to think and analyse. I would like to share one example.
Some are complaining that fahad and samantha are quite cool about the infedility. My reasoning goes as follows. First of all they had a bigger task of disposing a dead body. Secondly fahad also seem to be a person with lot of grey shade and he accepts it. The intruder is anyway dead. The problem in the form of police officer disappeared. There was originally not much love between them. Now there is a chance that they understand each other better.
There are very old movies where the husband makes a similar mistake in a weak moment but is forgiven. The only difference is this time it is a lady doing the same mistake. The director is not justifying her action. He is trying to say that code of conduct should be same for both. Most of us will not do such a mistake. But it will happen in some families and we know that not all of them end the marriage.
