This is ridiculous! I can be a little biased at sometimes but come on, I think our secondary is at least top 5! I think they're underestimating Brisker and Gordon!

I couldn't agree with you more Josh. I feel our secondary was the main reason our defense excelled at the end of last year especially. Linebackers were a close 2nd. Defense will start with a BANG! IN 2O24. Nice job on this.
Proof will come out. Our secondary is extremely talented and they are hungry! This will be a fun year for them

It's the numbers. Brisker didn't have that break out we had hoped, but he STILL improved. Stevenson started like a rookie and took off after Sweat showed up. JJ is JJ. Gordon was settling into roles. Byard will have a team around him to flex his ability. I'm NOT worried about, what I consider, the strength of the defensive unit.

Well I know that all the Bears fan watched the games that I did last year. There was 20+ INT’s but I also seen our DB’s get beat but I believe with a stronger safety in which Poles answered the call on that so our secondary should be alot better this year. They have to prove themselves this year for sure
Top ten is how I see it. Bear fans saw the big improvement when Sweat arrived, but my guess is the critics still recall our historic, record-breaking 3 games choke when we had big leads in the 4th quarter.
The accolades praise and respect comes from winning. The unit is young athletic and hungry. I liked how Terell Smith performed in spot packages. I'm looking forward to seeing Jonathan Owens and Reddy Steward look in preseason. If the pass rush was better and played more consistent in big/close games they'd be ranked higher imo. 🐻⬇️
Kyler getting hurt early was a massive detriment last year. Kyler is one of my favorite players to watch. His athleticism and coordination is insane 🕸️
Yes, this ranking I believe is wrong also though when we get a legit pass rush, they will have to admit this is a top 10 unit in the backfield, but we need to make some quarterbacks uncomfortable, 🐻🔽 FGB And appreciate everything you do for us out here Swifty!!! I’m ready for this season to start

One things going against the secondary is that our offense will put other teams behind. So they will be passing a lot to catch up. Also we do go against some good QBs and our pass rush is not great.
They will be pissed at the disrespect, and will make opposing offenses pay the price. Top 10 defense with one more year of playing together, rookies in the 2nd year and solid depth.
I love this, ignore that we had the most INTs in the league last year, everyone that laughs when we say we got a top 5 unit are going to cry when we turn their QBs Jameis clones.
Keenan Allen was 6th best Wr and DJ was 13th. Cole was 8th and Gerald 25th this offense should be good. I thought our DBs played around 15th best or mid tier but I expect them to make a jump this year. We need the lines to be shored up to make that leap and I’m not sure they are. Hopefully Waldron is that guy too cuz if he isn’t new coaches are coming. My breakout player this year is Tyrique Stevenson and my fav player is Sanborn.

If u add in that PFF has our DL ranked poorly , one would think they would give secondary even more props. Also counting the 1st half of season is a bit misleading

In the end we know that the have one of the best secondaries in football if not the best. No need for outrage..The Bears will show what thet are about..They led the NFL in interceptions last year and tgatbwas after a slow start with a low amount of pressure from the D line until Montez Sweat arrived..That was after it took the furst hald if the sesson until rookie corner back Tyrique Stenvenson found his footing
We HAVE NOT proven anything. Go back and watch the last 2 years. Talking and bragging up high expectations lead to complacency. We need to be humble focused and ready to to give our top effort on every play. Offensive Defense and Special Teams
kinda sad honestly. PFF seems to be going by just their own ratings which are sus at best (looking at you Mustipher.) our two main cb's were tied for 8 in total INTS , Tystevens was 3rd over in pass break ups with 13 and 3rd in forced incompletions overall. so to say teams like the raiders are better are just nuts.
Byard didn't have much of an impact for the Eagles and he will be 31, not a young guy. Brisker seemed to get injured often last season. The depth at safety really is average at best. I feel that is the reason for #19 ranking.
I generally brush off these kinds of rankings, regardless of where they put Bears players. But 19th is just dumb. Jaylon Johnson is, at worst, a top 5 corner in the league. Byard has been a top S for years and had a down year when he was traded midseason. Gordon and Brisker are both trending upward. Tyrique Stevenson took a huge leap in the second half of the season. Terrell Smith and Johnathon Owens could each start on a lot of teams. Most of the backups have played meaningful snaps over the last couple years and held their own. Not only do we have the top end talent, our secondary has as much depth as any team in the league.
Top 12 or 15 would be controversial. 19th is plain stupidity.
Minimum top 15 and that only because of the injury history.

if they are counting 64 total tackles and you are 32 your average. average players do not win Superbowls. But lets see what their ratings are when they have a quarterback that can read a D and throw the damn ball to avoid a sack
