I read all the comments on all the youtube channels devoted to Farnsey - so full of love for the man. I can't say I've ever "loved" a singer before, (how can you love someone you've never met?), I've only loved certain of their tracks, but with John it's quite different - I've only been watching these youtube videos for about 12 months, and yes, I can say I absolutely adore John the person - very humble man , very grounded. I love every single track that I've watched, even Sadie - of its time, and we had similar here in the UK in that era. And the voice was there, Every now and then I come across a Farnsey song I haven't heard before - it's like all my birthdays and Christmases all at once. Watching Farnsey sing is giving me so much joy in my later years. The children are grown and flown with their own families now and I have time to really concentrate on my pleasures in life - every day is a Farnsey day. Fingers crossed for John's full recovery so that he has a long and happy life with his family and friends - these last 18 months have been a hard road for him. And if there are any unreleased recordings perhaps they might go onto production? Just think - some new John Farnham tracks..... Bliss. Feb'24. UK. E❤

It was only hearing a snatch of You're the Voice on the radio about two years ago that I realised I'd heard it some time earlier, and was able to Google some of the words on my phone,, which brought up a YT video. And it was the one with the MSO. Bliss, absolute bliss. So I've been overdosing on everything John ever since. In two months I shall be 81, and he's making me feel like a fangirling teenager again. It's Carols by Candlelight time again, I've started watching. And I'm also getting into his time with LRB. And I'm now discovering other Aussie singers and bands. Also I now seem to be part of a chat group of Farnsey fans as well. If I may I'd like to repeat a comment I posted some time ago "the angels found that voice floating around the universe /heaven and kept it safe until they found the right person to give it to.". I've always loved big voice singers, but never heard anyone sing with the unique heart and soul element that John has. I truly love Steve Balsamo's version of Gethsemane, but there is that bit of magic missing that seems to exist in only John's voice. It's just phenomenal. We don't need any angels singing here. We've got our own. This was glorious, divine and gives me chills. Always loved John but I don't think I ever realised how great a singer he is until I've had all this spare time in lockdown to really appreciate how phenomenal he is.

There are so many versions of "You'll never walk alone" around. This would have to be one of the best I've heard. It is sang with so much emotion,I believe every word of this song when John Farnham sings it.

I usually have to watch his videos a couple of times as I am too busy listening to John sing & reading all the wonderful comments that have been left & might I add, unlike Elvis Presley, there are just as many male comments as female. Farnsey’s magic touched a number of people - male & female, young & old.

But wow, how good does it still stand up after all these years. Just a nod from Lindsay Field and it confirms that John nailed it. Unbelievable performance from an amazing singer. Love him.

His performance at 2003 arias of You're The Voice, Please Dont Ask Me (any performance) and his performance of Cool Change in the LRB concert from 1983 . That's 4, plus this version of You'll Never Walk Alone 1991 carols . But you can add any performance of his over a long career and it would be a grand final. Just a consummate performer! Thanks for asking. Also I would recomend any performance of Comic Conversations because he just nails the meaning of the song,. Sorry that's six ,but it's hard to choose.

I still remember watching this on tv with my mother and a friend, and my baby in my belly, and it the most moving experience. It’s the most extraordinary performce I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot. A true talent and a good soul.
