    Really enjoyed this style of tutorial video. Not too fast, not too slow. Music was good and the camera angles gave an excellent view of the techniques. Love the final product too! I also enjoy your voice over style videos. Much love x

    I love how huge and pleasantly organic this mug is! This would absolutely become my daily mug.
    The tutorial was very clear and well paced. I tend to watch videos silently with closed captions on, so however you prefer doing it works for me. I did appreciate that the words were accurate, unlike TH-cam’s auto captions, which are sometimes a hot mess.

    I’ve enjoyed watching your creative process with your voice, because you’re not shy about the surprises and disappointments of the possibilities of ceramics. So without music is my choice AND I’m looking forward to your next video whichever way you care to do it.

    I’ve learned so much from your videos and 100% plan on making my own giant mug like this! I loved the video angles and style. It’s nice to read the instructions and “forced” my ADHD brain to pay close attention, but I like hearing your voice too! Thank you for a great video and all the work that goes into making it! 😊

    This video is so dope! Loved the relatively simple (I'm still a beginner, so it'll probably be more challenging when I try it 🙂) yet very effective methods of adding curves. I like the music, and the text allows me to focus on watching the techniques. I also appreciate showing the end result. Can't wait to try this! Thank you!

    The use of arrows to indicate an area of interest and to indicate direction of pressure with the fingers is fantastic. I like the text versus spoken. The music can go either way; I like the music but there's also an asmr quality that's really nice without the music or talking over.

    I tend to listen to youtube videos more than watch, so I tend to like occasional voiceover more, but i don't mind the subtitles. I second the person who mentioned they should stay on screen longer, though. I did look down at this occasionally and miss an important tip or two and have to rewind.
    Either way, i very much appreciate your tutorials, especially hand building. I've resolved, at least for now, not to do any wheel throwing and it seems kind there are fewer tutorials of that than throwing. I like boundaries because they force me to be creative with what I have. I'm still very beginner and absorbing all the knowledge i can find, so thank you for sharing!!

    I prefer voiceover to reading the screen because I like to “watch” this stuff while I’m drawing & I can just glance up when the voiceover is telling me to look at something specific. I think the pacing is good. It’s slow enough to make sense without being painfully slow. Edit: you should use that clay mix to make an oval box where the outside & lid are painted like a dragon fruit & when you open the box, the inside looks like the seeds!

    all your videos are always super helpful and well informative, i appreciate you doing them, thank you!
    about the video format, honestly i enjoy both, the subtitles and voiceovers, i enjoy this changes :- ) and as someone who is not native english speaker i appreciate that you explain almost everything you do in your videos(as some of the comments would disagree), it helps me get knowledge of the "right" english ceramics terms.. so thank you!
    Also can I ask you for the reason why it's important to dry out your pieces upside down? and when you are drying for example plates, do you also once a day change the piece of wood they are laying on? i noticed that the wood under them would absorb so much moisture from them and if left too long start to mold.. :- / thank you!

    • @PotterytothePeople
      @PotterytothePeople  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot! Yes its super important to dry the pottery upside down because otherwise you have a bigger chance of getting cracks because the pot wont dry evenly. Look for my video “drying without cracks”- i explain it a lot more ☺️

    • @PotterytothePeople
      @PotterytothePeople  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Regarding the mold, it will happen for sure if you wait too long. I dont think drying too slow is necessary, even with plates. But it depends on your climate. You can also flip the plates over if there’s a rim and its strong enough to rest upon. That will help with the mold too.

    On format, I love the pacing, but I do prefer voice because I tend to “watch” a video the first time while doing dishes or such and glance over at the pottery occasionally, then the second time if I’ve decided to try it, I am watching while also trying to do my own pottery. Most of the time I just skip videos that are subtitles only.
