I have been a semi-pro potter for many years. I can honestly say this shape is definitely one of the most difficult to throw. I've done many bottles but none so graceful as this piece. I never thought of drying them out with a torch as I go along-that would definitely help keep them from collapsing, as mine did so many times-thanks for the tip! Great job!

    • @skegbyguy

They make throwing so much easier. I use both a blow torch and an electrical paint stripping gun. Mostly the electrical one as I have more control over it.

I also use a blow torch on my pots, this enables me to throw taller AND I can make and finish the pot all in the same day :)
