That's because at 4k Battlefield 3 does not scale the hud so you get a smaller hud and subtitles. At lower than 4k(1440p, 1080p) the subtitles would be bigger than what this vid shows.
37:00 to 55:45 One of the most amazing experiences in video games at that point in time, at least to me. This whole game was really a new experience for everyone back then.
The audio in this game was incredible. E.g. the constant shattering of glass as you battle through the office, followed by sounds of police sirens all around, as you're running through Paris ... really got the adrenaline going.
They should have called this one Battlefield: Revolutionary. Because that is exactly what it was. Also for the love of God please make a co-op flight game based on the F-18 mission.
The graphics were incredible for their time and still are amazing by 2022 standards. I remember being blown away by the sound design when playing this game on headphones with the DFX plug-in running.

This and Bad Company stories were the best from Battlefield. I'm back here now, because I remember playing through this one and the final missions really immersed me (at the time) with the story they were telling. It felt like a real Jack Ryan type of story. I loved it so much. Now 4 and so on - didn't care too much for it as much as 3. This one was epic. It really had such high stakes. Thanks for the upload. Also, what happened to Dima in the last scene? Was that a flashback or did he survive the fallout from the explosion?

DICE really outdid themselves on this game. It was such a massive jump from anything before it. Still looks absolutely stunning especially with 4k hdr nowadays

Like I'm sorry but learn to live with it bro, the graphics still looks great, you don't NEED 4k to enjoy it, it plays completely fine at it's FPS. Let good enough be good enough and don't encourage AAA studios to just start remaking every single game in their backlog or we're gonna end up in a Hollywood situation where no one makes original or new content anymore
Still an excellent game even in 2022, I play it still often. It's hard to find a full server or full lobby but when you do you can still have a great game and some good giggles along the way. BF3 is still a great game and probably the best in the franchise. We certainly need a remastered version for latest gens and PC. Imagine what a remastered version would be like today, they could make it more smoother to play with better frame rates and better all over look and feel, I think it's something that really needs to be done for the franchise.

I remember being blown away after seeing the god rays in this game, just in general it felt like the graphics leaped ahead 10 years from pretty much everything else that was out at the time. Game still looks incredible today apart from maybe the textures but sound and effect wise it's still top notch after all these years
The graphic, the sound effect, the character development, the mission etc is just too damm good and no other latest shooting games would ever beat this 15yo game
Well color me impressed. The battlefield 3 campaign is actually very good and well thought out. Even hardline's campaign was surprisingly well done. Certainly a lot better than the garbage afterthought DICE shoved out that was the BF4 campaign.
So great memories when i played this beauty in 800X600 'cause my gpu was so lame. And then i upgraded and i was SHOCKED when i saw the graphics in Ultra on my native res. I miss this game, i played the MP a little and i regret it so much now. Still stunning.
You guys are not gonna believe this, 3 days ago i started to playing BF3 and at 3:21:59 helicopter scene i stopped playing and exit the game by thinking It will take 2-3 more days to complete. I was just scrolling and find this video and i am wondered by the only 1 mission left 😂. This game is the best game of my life. Short fast pace and graphics are really good.

Imagine battlefield 2042 campaing having an iconic INMERSIVE HELICOPTER MISSION. what a miss oportunity. Hope next bf game has a cooler campaing as this one

Nothing I could do to fix the subtitles being small. The game has bad UI scaling so when played at 4K, the subtitles will look super small

Its been 13 years since the release of BATTLEFIELD 3, and its still an amazing game, especially the Jet Mission.

2024, Battlefield 2042 is now the WORST EVER BATTLEFIELD GAME.
Frostbite 2.0 is easily my favorite looking and feeling game engine. Battlefield 3 and 4 are unparalleled

Used to play this back in HS on the edge of my seat until my eyes were blood-shot red.
Multiplayer mode in BF3 is also great like in COD ADVANCED WARFARE.
A remastered version of this game would be amazing!
