I remember playing this game 12 years ago, back then I was in the army (French Legion) it was mind blowing how realistic this game was (still is) plus the story is really good. I'm watching this classic masterpiece again after playing Battlefield 2042 (or battle-COD field..) and I can't still believe that these 2 games had been made by the same studio.
4 was actually the beginning how the series turned to crap. the immersion in 4's story wasn't as pure to ture military enough as Bf3's campaign so it felt weak in comparison and the Multiplayer in 4 was broken at first launch but got improved later. Still though Bf3 is a thousand times way better even the graphics and atmosphere were more appealing especially the blue tint.
I played each mission on the same day each mission was set in 2014. I couldn’t believe that Solomon’s plot on New York City in the game on November 14th took place on the same day I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story premiered at the DOC NYC film festival that year in real life, so when I played the final mission that day, I felt like I saved Big Bird & DOC NYC from Solomon’s plot.
THIS was a game. THIS was a Battlefield. NOT the stupid bullshit they made after. This game aged like wine, servers are still up on console and pc versions and I can't be more happy to replay such a masterpiece that accompanied me since its release.
You are absolutely right this game was a masterpiece and it was ahead of his time they don’t make games like this anymore the story was soo good in my humble opinion it had even a better story than any cod
This was the first proper new game i bought when i first got a good pc, i remember the opening with the train, the graphics were just so mindblowing to me at the time. It actually still holds up really well compared to the newer games.
It’s the fact that this battlefield cannot be topped by any other.. it might sound silly to some, but when I was at diagnosed with MS and taking weekly painful shots with terrible side-effects, playing BF3 single player on my PS3 was the only thing that I could do at 3AM when my parents were asleep.. I still remember the rocking chair that I sat on and the blue blanket that I threw on my shoulders.. bought the other battlefields, along with the new console, but none could top BF3
I totally get what you mean! BF3 on my Xbox 360 was like my second home too. The hours I spent playing it felt like living a different life, and those memories are priceless
Exactly, it was a different immersion. The soundtrack, voiceacting, weapon feeling, visuals, sound, voiceacting.. Just top notch, nothing tops BF3 in the FPS world. I would pay full price for a decent remake/remaster any day 🥹

They knocked it out of the park with BF3. Been gaming since 1984 and BF3 is one of my all-time favorite games. I loved the battlefield bad company games, put tons of time into those but the more mature tone and narrative was missed. I love this game. And thats just the single player. The multiplayer maps where the best fps multiplayer maps i ever played on, they were stellar.

I got my first gaming PC just to play this game on release. Got the physical copy, and my two GTX 560 Ti ran it perfectly and silently. It's probably one of the best experiences I've had with a game ever.
Cool to realize that the antagonistic interrogator is from BF4. He’s Laszlo Kovic, the man who protects Jin Jie and is the temporary squad lead. Just a cool continuity trend. Also, Dima is the prisoner in BF4 that helps you escape.

First game I ever played on the new PS3, Christmas day. I didn't let anyone else come near it. The whole day, back to back immersion. Beautiful story, all the extra details, the glimmers, commentary based off actual military lingo, even the colloquial conversation between the squad. Yep, this game sealed me in for the next 4 battlefields, however, after BF4/BF1. The franchise went hollow. I still pray for thses same Devs to come back.

Even in 2020 I still play BF3 because it's such a great game.
my opinion. Is the best campaing of the all btfs
You right
The nostalgia. I still remember Caspian border and operation firestrom
my favourite was Kharg on rush mode
Opération métro 😁
I'm watching this classic masterpiece again after playing Battlefield 2042 (or battle-COD field..) and I can't still believe that these 2 games had been made by the same studio.
This is by far the best game I’ve played both graphics-wise and realism-wise.
Battlefield 3 and 4 were the last actual good Battlefield Games. It's depressing to see the series go to crap.
Late reply but Battlefield 1 was quite good
The only thing i like about BFV is the last tiger mission
4 was actually the beginning how the series turned to crap. the immersion in 4's story wasn't as pure to ture military enough as Bf3's campaign so it felt weak in comparison and the Multiplayer in 4 was broken at first launch but got improved later. Still though Bf3 is a thousand times way better even the graphics and atmosphere were more appealing especially the blue tint.
Shapeshift_H0und yea. BF4 campaign was crap and completely rushed.
Sorry to say but BF3 was the last good BF game. The masterpieces before BF3 were BF1942, BF2 and BF2142
5:15 Everyone creating BF2042
3:02:18 Solid Snake
I played each mission on the same day each mission was set in 2014. I couldn’t believe that Solomon’s plot on New York City in the game on November 14th took place on the same day I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story premiered at the DOC NYC film festival that year in real life, so when I played the final mission that day, I felt like I saved Big Bird & DOC NYC from Solomon’s plot.
the opening scene cutting between blackburn running the metro and the bridge is just epic
The intro of "Thunder Run" just blew me away. It was breathtaking
The campaign and multiplayer in this game made me fall in love with gaming!
I've replayed it recently
The emotions and feelings that stayed with me are as i would watch a great action military movie
39:24 Miami Center in Iran ?
That’s literally what I said. I think they just went to liveatc.net and just put whatever audio they found into the game lmao
I thought the same thing. XD
Could it be military code language?
I would pay full price for a decent remake/remaster any day 🥹
BEST GAME EVER OMG HOW I MISS BATTLEFIELD 3, THE REAL BATTLEFIELD
I thought either battlefield 4, hardline or 1 was good
that's stupid. BF2 and BF2142 were the real BF games. BC pleb
Just the game play for 4 and hartline but 1 for the story 1 is censored AWESOME
I cant be cussing now
Battlefield 4 still has one hell of a strong playerbase still and you can’t hardly find a game on BF1
Who cares the games are awesome
EA needs to remaster Battlefield 3 for the PS4/XBox One
They’ll ruin it like Activision ruined Modern Warfare Remastered
@@lxcidparadox3513 nothing would be ruined its just the graphics would look a lot better and i like what they've done with mw2 remastered if you didn't notice
Its too late now they should do it for the PS5
No,you don't need a remastered version,you only need a 4k monitor,that's it.
@@yesbruv9419 sure thing
The one that got me switched to Battlefield, fucking loved this game to death!
brings back some much memory when this game is better than call of duty
They knocked it out of the park with BF3. Been gaming since 1984 and BF3 is one of my all-time favorite games. I loved the battlefield bad company games, put tons of time into those but the more mature tone and narrative was missed. I love this game. And thats just the single player. The multiplayer maps where the best fps multiplayer maps i ever played on, they were stellar.
I enjoyed the BF3 campaign more than BF4's. Great game by the way.
i loved bf3 it was in a realistic timezone, blended simulation w/ fun arcade and a believable storyline
32:25 best moment
My life: got born,got a ps3,got bf3, played for almost 300days in tottal,bought bf4, played for like 10days...meh,got BFH,played for 10days....meh, went back to bf3😂
Went back to bf3? Best decision ever!
kek
I prefer older BF like BF2, but: BF4 was arcadey in the wrong way. BF3 was arcadey but in the right way. That's why I enjoyed 3 more than 4.
Lord Bepis dang that’s tuff you didn’t play on the 360
Bf54 was godly
I got my first gaming PC just to play this game on release. Got the physical copy, and my two GTX 560 Ti ran it perfectly and silently. It's probably one of the best experiences I've had with a game ever.
The Best Battlefield from all the series thats a personal opinion, ooo and BFBC2
Cool to realize that the antagonistic interrogator is from BF4. He’s Laszlo Kovic, the man who protects Jin Jie and is the temporary squad lead. Just a cool continuity trend.
Also, Dima is the prisoner in BF4 that helps you escape.
I demand a remaster!
M1W3ST I AGREE
The only two things that must be overhauled are the character models and the reflections. If only that game could be modded...
@@cbsmash What news?
Agree

Their reactions to the jet, I feel like it's almost like a real encounter with a enemy jet on the ground

And I didn't say anything about Afghanistan, that's a different topic.
Iraq war, however, cannot be justified.
I remember walking into the local microcenter and seeing this game on a i7 2600k, 16 gb 1866 ram and a radeon 6950. Crazy what progress computing as come; Wish this game was still new :(
2:47:05 My favorite part of the campaign, the SU-25 fight making gun runs on your squad. Not very realistic but very cool still.
I remember feeling my chest getting tight after hearing them say hes doubling back holy fucking shit. This game pulls off some real well done emotion pulling
@@cjyea2534 when i shot it down, i was like: yeah! Why are you not cheering with me guys? Then i turned around and saw 2 dead soldier.
Wow shit. I didn't remember BF3's campaign being this interesting and diverse with a deep narrative...man it's been too long.
This made me realise how bad BF4 and 1 is...
Bf1 was not bad IMO
@@harshbansal7982 I disagree
DrummerGamer fair enough
@@harshbansal7982 ^^ I wonder though have you played the old titles back in the day. Don't get me wrong maybe I'm just affected by nostalgia but still BF1 doesn't feel like a BF imho.
Too be honest bf4 was hella lit
This brings back memories. Bf3 was my favorite.
2:46 this dude is James bond’s evil twin
Bro that profile pic is killing me 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was just sooo ahead of its time... it was just something else. This Battlefield doesn't exist anymore.
These graphics are so amazing like holy shit
Indeed... from a 2011 game
I forgot how hard this shit went right from the beginning
This is ace. One of the best FPS campaigns by far in my opinion. I have to play the campaign again one day...
In 2011 that first mission was unbelievable in terms of graphics. There was almost nothing like this game back then, I still remember how it was like.
now this game! right here! was the PINNACLE of the BATTLEFIELD Series! BF 3 campaign is so EPIC and MEMORABLE! the theme song gives you TERMINATOR VIBES etc
this was one of my favorite games when I was smaller everything about it gave some intense emotion. bf3, kingdom hearts1, medal of honor rising sun, and bo2 are my tops
