Auch wieder gut! I really miss Dallas. Watching this brings some nostalgia when I was in Texas! Thanks man for sharing it with us! Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Memorial Day!
Small update: The DART Silver Line has been slightly further delayed. The current estimated completion date is at late as mid-2026, though as early as late 2025.
Kinda funny to see DFW through a visitor's eyes. Glad I found this, I'm planning on travelling via train in the future and its nice to see I could prepay for tickets via app.
Thank you for this video. I will be riding this train in February 2024 from DFW. Now I know to get off the West End Station but still need to figure out how to get to the hotel.
I think your best bet will be uber or lyft unless your hotel is within walking distance. Walking to locations is a pain in the butt in the DFW area; most people here have cars and expect to drive at least 15-20 minutes for work/entertainment.
Really?! What kind of trains that TRE is getting? I saw an infill station nearly completed near Fort Worth. How did you know I was going to LA? Yes, I’m planning to ride and film the Expo lines and the mew downtown connection.
@@HOUExplorerI don't think the new trains are coming for a while, they are still unsure on what to replace the fleet with.(either modified FLIRTs or Charger/Coradia sets)
TRE is only getting new Siemmens Charger locomotives. They are not getting new trainsets or passenger cars, they will be overhauling the passenger and cab cars. So no FLIRT's on the TRE anytime soon.
Love the vids, also kinda wondering if you're ever going to do full line rides through DART rather that x station to Akard. I'd love to see a full ride especially Orange Line to LBJ/Central during non-peak.
This is meant for workers, not travelers. They make a lot of money from parking garages. That's why the trains are not actually in the airport terminals as in Chicago and Atlanta.
You should try the tarantula train out of Grapevine. It has a line that runs to the fort worth stock yards. It was alot of fun sitting in the open air cars.
It's certainly spring in Texas, looking at acres of bluebonnets along the right-of-way! Interesting how departing DFW, there are two sets of stub tracks, one at the 4:48 mark(Spur 97) and at the 7:22 mark( Hwy 114, John Carpenter Fwy)--wondering if DART had plans for future routes but scrapped? Listening to the female automated announcement, she says "This is the--Orange Line....." sounds as if she's hesitating to make sure 'she' has the right line in mind--riding this route gives you a good indication of the wealthy/not-so-wealthy divide--over by Las Colinas, plenty of high-end apartment complexes but past Inwood/Love Field, a stark difference in neighborhood quality. Inner city Dallas is getting more gentrified as we pass upscale apartments. An odd sight, getting off at Akard, there was man wearing a safety vest, giving you a look, he gets off and promptly gets back on the next set of cars--what with all this 'Train-ing" where did you find time for meals? Seeing you depart DFW and passing by DAL, not once did I spot any landings or takeoffs!
Could you send me to a more dangerous neighborhood? I'm dreading walking back to the car someone shouldn't crack me over the head and steal my bag, I'll be lying there on the street in this neighborhood and people will spit on me and empty my pockets. I'll lie in the gutter like a bum, like a dog, like a mutt, like an animal! God forbid someone should help me or call an ambulance. No, that's too much trouble to pick up a phone and press a few buttons.
I felt the same way when I got off the DART train at West End station. Three policemen stood back to back and looked around warily. My fate was in my hands! I immediately boarded the return train and went to the airport.
That's ridiculous, downtown is not a dangerous neighborhood, in fact most of Dallas is perfectly safe, just a few areas on the southeast side that are rough, but even those aren't exactly dangerous.

Thanks man! Have a great weekend and Happy Memorial Day!
You have a wider gut? Maybe you should eat a little less, just a suggestion.
I was nervous about getting to my hotel via the DFW airport, but this gives me some reassurance! Thank you!

Fascinating! It's been 10 years since I have been to Dallas and have never seen the completed DFW Airport section
Thank you so much for making this!!
On the Merry way to Frisco 🚆

Always enjoy it when you come to Dallas.
TRE will get new trains this year or next year, can’t wait.
Also do you think you can do LA Expo Line?

I’ve Been Away From Dallas For 7 Years. I’ve Moved To South Texas. What A Change! I Rode The Dart Rail For Long Time. 👍❤️

The man with the safety vest is a dart fleet cleaner lol.

Lol it’s not that bad. Suburbanites should stay in your McMansions.

@@trevorjameson3213 some say I was being dramatic
So unfriendly to disabled people lol.. look at the size of those steps. They should add a ramp.
The middle of the train is at platform level, allowing for easy roll on and off.
