@@joselombana8381 Came across this little function by accident a long time ago while playing Turbo. I thought I had glitched the game out or something. ETA: You would actually do this while the Capcom sound is playing, much like the "Champion Edition" code for The World Warrior
I went back to watch this one. such a great episode. Thank you guys. Especially since neither one of them looked like the arcade and by now we can all afford a decent arcade copy or port. Such innocent times though!
Really? I find the super nintendo d-pad to be one of the more comfortable than sega since super nintendo is just the 4 directions. its easier to be more accurate. the sega controller is a circle which makes precision more difficult. maybe its just my fingers.
The crappy voices on the Genesis version are a result of sloppy programming, not of limitations of the Genesis hardware. Patching your Genesis SFII ROM with the patch by Stef completely fixes the scratchy voices. The patch also works on the Genesis version of SSFII.
Finally, somebody who _GETS IT!_ All it takes is a little bit of work, some trial and error, and you can make the Genesis sound like an actual arcade system! At the end of the day, that patch fixed both the color problems and the sound quality. And really, who cares if you "had to buy that" 6-button controller? Sega made that SPECIFICALLY for SFII and Mortal Kombat, cause they knew that day was coming. The only reason the 3-button controller held back SFII was because the Genesis came out in the late 80s anyhow, back when arcade games had only two or three buttons.
Patches. Thats pritty sweet and i love the moding community. But Geniuses had mortal kombat by a hair. And Snes. Has SF by a mile. I play in monthly Sf tournament and i wouldn't be half as good in any SF game if it wasn't for Snes street fighter collection. The arcade is were i went to test my metal. hours of snes as a kid made me feel like a god at the arcade lines of 7 kids deep all lining up to try and take my .50$ away. Thanks Nintendo .
Actually pressing all the buttons down with the 3 button causes the came to pause. With the 6 button, all the controls are mapped in order, even the pause works with the pause button.
Disagree on controls tho. The Sega d-pad was more comfortable and easier to pull off multiple moves with. Everybody who had this game had the 6-button controller, which is what it was *intended* to be used with, so that was a bit of an unbalanced perspective on that point. Nonetheless I was thoroughly entertained!
Played the snes version for the first time a few years ago and found the dpad to be awful for Street Fighter due to lack of a true diagonal input. The Genesis dpad is smooth as hell, and makes special moves a breeze.
Genesis 6 button is the best way to play on controller... for the control options they mentioned, it's Genesis 3 < SNES < Genesis 6... If you really didn't want to pay extra money to play better, the SNES would be the better way to play... but shoulder buttons really suck for a 6 button fighter.
@@NMercy not really, the SNES controller is not that bad for a fighter. What do you think a lot of controllers used today on consoles get the inspiration for their controllers, the SNES
@@likwit7165 I'm referring specifically to 6 button (6 attack button) fighting games like street fighter 2. Even going to a competing fighting game like mortal kombat (4 attacks + block) you can argue strongly that the snes controller is superior, other than the squishy shoulder buttons... But that was fixed in future controller designs. When I played street fighter 2 on the snes I would give up my medium punch to the left shoulder button because I used fierce more than medium. Going to other genres, the snes design shows a general superiority over the genesis controller design, but there's a reason that sega released a controller basically for 2D fighting games that was the genesis controller with 2 shoulder buttons in addition to the 6 front ones. In addition, especially for fighting games, the full d pad in the genesis vs the cross on the snes controller works better for multi input moves, diagonal blocking and jumping. Not saying the snes is a bad controller, but in this particular instance (6 button attack fighting games), it was the better choice.
@@NMercy that's your opinion, back then I owned both consoles. I played my SNES alot more than my Sega Genesis. While both had great games on them, I felt a lot more comfortable playing with the SNES controller with Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, (I played the 1st Mortal Kombat on my Genesis due to it having blood). Both were great consoles.
I have a hell of a time doing the special moves on the Sega controller so I know exactly what you mean. Its so much easier performing special moves on the SNES controller I think it is the d pad.
Twist Zero Yeah I have street fighter II champion edition with the six buttons and you can pause. You just need a six button controller. they got that wrong.
Well it wasn't the only console port of a fighting game to not have pause button. The first few Mortal Kombats didn't have a pause button (not counting pausing in between fights only in the SNES Mortal Kombat I and possiblly II. Not sure about II since I only played it once)
One commenter mentioned that pressing all 3 buttons on a 3 button controller will also pause, so no. You don't really need a 6 button controller, even though the game would heavily benefit from a 6 button controller.
There is a codes for the SNES that gives you up to 10 stars for turbo. On controller 2 during the Capcom logo, do DOWN R UP L Y B and you will get up to 10 stars. Y'all forgot that one
Gonna have to disagree. I feel like segas radial dpad is better suited for all the quarter circles you have to input in this game as well as downward diagonals for advanced cross-ups and glitch combos. Also moves like Ryu's dragon uppercut were more difficult to pull off on the snes shoulder buttons. Also the genesis was released 2 years before the SNES. 3 buttons was perfectly fine for the games being released in 1989. The turbo graffix only had 2 buttons. I dont think it's fair to knock sega for having to release an after market 6 button controller to keep the console relevant 4 or 5 years later. You should stop factoring this into your reviews because if you want to get that technical, the genesis was cheaper than the snes anyway and you could get a 6 button and still not spend more money.
@Ryu sound on mega drive ruins it, also lack of colour, which pad is all down to preference, but at the time, most sega owners I knew never had 2 six button controllers so it was always a more natural fit on the snes.
Cool video. I always preferred the d-pad of Sega's six-button controller. While the SNES pad has six buttons, I'd opt to buy a new controller to play it as I was never any good at using the shoulder buttons for Street Fighter 2. It works for some, but not for me. I agree with the conclusions here, but I think Ken's stage is a bad example to show the SNES having better music. In that case, I think the Genesis sounds better. I've heard complaints about Ken's stage music on SNES before. Blanka's music sounds great on SNES though.
For presentation, the Genesis version has the animated defeated portraits during the Continue screen countdown. Also, Blanka and E. Honda each have a separate defeated portrait that is completely different from their regular portrait just like the Arcade version, unlike the SNES version which takes their regular portrait and adds some blood and alter their mouth to create their defeated portrait.
I'm sorry, but the SNES dpad does not compare to the dpad used in the original 6 button controller (which I clearly saw was not what you guys had). It is one of the best pads for fighting games. Very easy to pull off moves accurately, even ones with 720° motions. The exact same pad was even used in the Saturn controllers. Said controllers were also released on PC, and now those are extremely hard to find, and an authentic one made by SEGA goes for a couple hundred easily. Know why that is? Because the dpad used in that controller is one of the best dpads for fighting games, a genre where high level players would normally never use a controller. That's why original 6 button Genesis and Saturn controllers go for like 15-20 bucks apiece online even though they are pretty common. It's accuracy is comparable to that of even a joystick, truly a glorious thing to hold in your hands.
Regular retro controllers are already priced around that range. SNES d-pad was great in that it offered a lot of comfort and it was quite fucking durable. That and you can pretty easily pull off special moves with it. Anyone that can't needs to git gud.
You're right, but that's not the topic, the topic is playing the game out of the box, as the Nintendo guy said, he also could have purchased an arcade stick, so what ? I have a scoop for you : even the PC Engine/TurboGraFX 16 6 button gamepad plays better than the base Super Nintendo gamepad... but still you have to buy it.
@@Debiruman1666 Not only did stores start bundling 6 button controllers with the console, Sega themselves included it in later versions as well as the CDX comes with one. So, I have a scoop for you: you should probably make damn sure you know what you're talking about before acting like a smartass.
So some people prefer the SNES controller over the six button Megadrive pad. I thinks it's fair to say that's a minority opinion. The six button Megadrive pad is the fighting pad. It's got one of the greatest dpads of all time up there with the model 2 Saturn pad. The SNES pad is great but the six button Megadrive pad for SF2 is the king.
If you have the 6 button controller, which did come with certain models of the genesis, the Sega version is slightly better due to the more preferable button layout.
Kristopher Margo I actually even preferred 3 button default over snes anyday anyway. Lol. The controller feel was much smooth and better and the unparalleled precision of the control pad.
Regardless of preference or akwardness, if you had a SNES or were alive during the time, many people didnt' have a problem with this. This is personal preference and varies from person to person. LMAO
@@gozinta82 Facts spoken. Nothing against the Genesis, but I grew up playing the SNES version and I don't have an issue with the D-pad and shoulder buttons. On Turbo, Fierce and Roundhouse at the top of the controller make it easy for me to pull off certain combos as opposed to me moving my right thumb quickly to the next button or stretching my fingers on an arcade machine. I'm just used to it as I've been playing since I was 7 years old
@@hoodmistressreloaded i had both and the feeling you have in your hands when you play a character on screen really is worst on the Snes. I feel it a little too smooth...
For the presentation you missed out on the character game over screen. When your character is on for the count on sega there is a little animation of character struggling to continue and on the Nintendo it's just a still image of your beaten character.
I disagree on gameplay. Sega offers more gamemodes and the 6-Button-Controller handels the problems with the 3-Button-Controller. You mustn´t forget, that Segas Genesis was out 2 years before the SNES ! Might be personal taste, but I like the more rough sound effects from Sega here. It suits to the genre and sounds really cool ! For me, Championship Edition is superior.
Yeap!!! I like sound effects better on the sega genesis and the 6 button controller is so good that even x box and play station have made street fighter controllers based on the sega genesis and Saturn models.
Liking something more doesn't mean it's necessarily better. I think both versions are great, but the SEGA 6 button controller was a big deal back in the day. Very few of my friends could afford one, or argue to their parents WHY they had to spend more money. The colors, SFX like voice overs are way closer to the arcade for the SNES. I can relate to the rough gritty fx of the SEGA cuz it does sound good but it's not as close, but it has it's own appeal. I personally think both versions are great. SEGA is a bit faster, but buying two button controllers to play 2 player on SEGA is bullshit(thats what most kids would have to do back in the day) because I only knew of half of the kids that had Genesis compared to kids who had SNES, so very few ppl ever had 6 button controllers, let alone 2 of them. Nowadays its no big deal.
Genesis is always gonna win in terms of gameplay. The 6 button controller is the holy grail of every fighting game ever. Those 6 horizontal buttons are perfect to play fighting games because they are placed exactly as the arcades. So street fighter and mortal kombat games are best played on a genesis. In terms of graphics, SNES is gonna win in 90% of the time. Thats simple because the SNES was released after the genesis, and it was able to have a better hardware. Some may say SNES music is better than the genesis, but i think genesis music is more violent and tekno-rock style in most cases. On the other hand, SNES music is more orchestal. Besides, when he says the genesis 6 buttont controller was just an "addon" and you had to spend extra money to get it... well.. the overall snes system was actually more expensive than the genesis, so in terms of money: genesis + 6 controller or SNES with original controller, was the same.
SNES was $199 at launch and the Genesis was $189 at launch so. Paying $10 more for a system that comes with 2 free 6 button controls is cheaper than the system that is $10 less but still have to spend at least $20-$30 for a six button? Sounds like fools math to me buddy.
You can definitely say that about the soundtrack, which seems to be the case with a ton of Sega games. It's really a preference. I personally like both in many contexts simply because it's different. Everything's the same nowadays with ports.
Doing the classic code during the Capcom presentation actually disables special moves and attacks (found that out by accident trying to get the 10-star speed). You'd have to input the code on Controller 2 as the word "TURBO" is scrolling by on the screen to up the speed
@@hoodmistressreloaded yes something like that, I haven't done it for at the least I guess 20 years, I tried couple of time on my classic snes mini, I will try again, on the second controller next time, as I don't remember if I did on controller 2 I thought it may not work on the classic mini, the code is down L up R YBXA, I learnt it from a video game magazine here in Brazil, back in 1993,
@@atroise I don't even play Turbo that often, except for some combo practice. But if my memory serves me right, then Down R Up L Y B X A would be the code for the original Japanese version. It would probably be the same in Brazil, but you would drop the X and A (I'm not sure as I'm in the United States)
Fatal Fury is always listed as a clone BUT it was actually nearly released at the same time in Japan. I Also I always thought SNK was the better company while both games are 98% the same (they really are, if you are good at one you are good at the other) SNK always has massive 40+ player rosters while street fighter tends to max out at half of that.
I prefer the sega genesis version with the 6 button controller or the super nes version which was slower moving. The genesis version in terms of speed was spot on with the arcade version.
The Genesis version is superior gameplay wise, and that snes d-pad thing is bullshit, the Genesis d-pad on both the standard and 6-button controller is far superior.
I had both and the genesis version plays way more smooth and closer to the arcade version. The snes version was always to slow to me and felt a bit off.
@@craighennessy2393 now a days that option is more of a reality with all those portable arcades growing up in the 80s and 90s in the arcade was hard there was always some older kid that would beat everyone. I can't speak for the rest of my generation but my parents would give me at most .50 cent to play arcade games I had three other brothers that wanted to play. Also when I was growing if I did want to play in the arcade I would have to far from home. The bodega on the corner store in the Bronx didn't exactly cater to kids. That's why so many of us played SNES and Genises it was close to arcade as possible with the hardware at the time. It gave us a chance to get good and practice.
For the SNES version, use the third-party 6-button controller or the arcade stick. For the Sega version, use the 6-button controller or arcade stick, official or third-party regardless.
@@CaptainKeelhaul I need to try that. Let me specify what I meant: in terms of digital voices and hit, snes is better. Having said that, I really like the genesis music. Especially Zangief stage on Snes sounds vastly inferior to the genesis/mega drive's one. I like to play Snes version of Sf2 on Snes using the 6 button Genesis controller, best of both worlds.
Accidentally discovered you guys after wanting to know the difference between.....something and ended up watching a bunch of your videos. Great job on the comparisons and for keeping things simple.
The Sega Mega Drive version wins the gameplay category, very easily, by a wide margin... Firstly, you don't need to input any cheat codes to access higher speed settings in the SMD version. In addition, the SMD version has higher speed settings in both Champion mode (with cheat) and Hyper mode (without cheat), while the SNES version runs at the slowest speed in Normal mode and you need a cheat for higher speeds in Turbo mode. Secondly, the SMD's 6-button controller is much better for SF2 than the SNES controller, since the SMD's 6-button controller is laid out in a similar manner to the arcade controls. In addition, yes, you can pause with the 6-button controller, so the video is incorrect about that. And finally, the SMD version has exclusive Group Battle modes, including Match Play and Elimination modes, which add a whole level of fun and competition to the gameplay. This is great for when there's more than two players, or even when there's just two players. The SNES version has nothing that can compare. ...The SMD version trumps the SNES version in the gameplay category, quite easily.
It's funny how u say the Sega 6 button controller is better. The SNES controller is basically today's controller with joysticks and 2 extra should buttons, lol.
"Listening to the music back to back, it's clear Super Nintendo is superior" *Proceeds to compare the excellent arcade-like tracks of the Genesis version with the derpy MIDI samples of the SNES version*
I hate that people don't realize you can get to 10 stars on SNES as well, Down, R, Up, L, Y, B before turbo finishes scrolling across on controller 2 and BAM 10 stars
The 6-button controller eventually came as a pack in for the Genesis 2 and Genesis 3 console systems (and it was available before the Genesis version of SFII), so he should have been able to use the controller as part of the review. Sound effects aside, the Genesis version plays and feels more like the coin-op. I like the SNES as much as the next person, but that doesn’t mean I won’t give credit where it’s due.
I know this is all in fun but. The 6 button control should be used for comparison, it was bundled with the 32x and genesis 3, so depending on what you bought it did come as a pack in control, It is far better than the snes control for fighting games, better button layout and better d-pad, I seriously don't know how you can say the snes d-pad is better especially for fighting games, the best fighting game pad of all time has the same d-pad as the megadrive and its the saturn pad. having the diagonals makes it far easier to pull off a dragon punch. the music is subjective for example i much prefer guile's music on the megadrive version, the one area snes wins hands down is the voice overs with the exception of a few stages i like the megadrive music better like i said its subjective also as mentioned by others the graphics are of a higher resolution on the megadrive and it plays faster and has less slowdown this should have given it the win in that category. The snes has a larger color pallet.
@TET - COM you had to wait years for the game. The 6 button controller was released when the game came out. The 6 button controller came with some models of the Genesis II as well. Bullshit argument.
I can't disagree more about the d-pad. I've always been able to execute all the special moves almost flawlessly on a SNES controller. I've always had tons more trouble with it on the Genesis, 3 or 6 button controller. That being said, both of these versions of the game are amazing and you can't go wrong with either one.
6 button controllers came bundled with the Mega Drive II. The Sega 6 button is *way* better than the SNES pad for SFII. It's how the game was meant to be played, just like the arcade. It's sad how many blind fanboys can't acknowledge this.
I had trouble with snes d pad & shoulder buttons, so hori controller or retrobit sega 6 or 8 wireless controller are a lot better than snes, i also watch the controller lag test video from shmup junkie.
I personally like the Genesis Music more. I was a Nintendo fanboy at the time that both these versions were out. I actually feel like the Genesis music sounds more like the arcade music, whereas the SNES version sounds like they WAY overused synthesized horns on every single track. Ken's stage on the SNES version sounds just awful. Despite it's chunkier sound, I feel like the music sounds just more like the arcade on the Genesis.
Eventhough it's a bit choppy it does sound more like the arcade. I did a sound test not so long ago. I own SF anniversary collection on xbox a Genises a SNES a SNES classic and a gen 2 and 3 Genesis so I booted SF2T then Turbo on SNES the special championship edition. If you play the arcade version the music is gritty whereas the SNES is very clean and the elephants you need the elephants drowning out the music. But both games are a bit flawed they both missing frames of animation. If you take best of the SNES and the Genesis you'll get almost arcade perfect.
I think the genesis version is overall better. (This is coming from someone who likes the snes more than genesis.) the six button controller has a way better layout than the snes controller, and the gameplay is closer to the arcade version. The main thing the snes version does better is visuals and audio
I'm pretty sure you can pause using the 6 button controller. And the layout on that, is way better for Street Fighter than the SNES standart controller in my opinion. And dont forget, you get 2 games in 1 on SEGA: Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting.
And almost everywhere else, SNES has better detail (i.e. Character portraits in vs mode and character select, stage colors and background animation, etc.).
Every sega person had a six button controller I had a three button and a six button. I didnt like the shoulder buttons on the snes version for the strong punch and kick , I feel I could always pull of moves better with the six button controller.
No they didnt. I lived in the midwest and in West coast and I knew of twice as many people who owned SNES. ALso, of that smaller group of Sega owners, very few had a 6 button controller, let alone two. Sure, if you have the money to spend on it, by all means. You can't say it's better because YOU like it more. You have to buy a damn controller in order to even try to play the game competitively.
@@gozinta82 thats a load of crap , where I am from everyone had a genesis lol. Sega outsold nintendo in America also . nintendo sold more world wide. Small group? You need to research the genesis you moron. If I like it more then it is better to me .Lmao your crazy.
@@mikeeone5649 You just contradicted yourself. Yes, it depends on where you lived. In some places Nintendo sold better, others, Sega did. Are you talking about outselling NES or SNES? I'm not a moron, dude. I have done plenty of research and am telling you based off of the two states I lived in. IT was different where you lived. CONGRATULATIONS! If you like it more, then yes...it is better to you. NOT EVERYONE. YAY WE WIN.
@@mikeeone5649 Also, 49.6 million to 49.1 is only due to including the accessories sold for it. IE Genesis had Sega CD and 32X which was over a hundred dollars for each upgrade. So you check your fucking results bro.
Sorry super..but shoulder buttons are just awkward, and in my opinion the 6 button Sega is much set up better for fighting games and allows for better control.
They dropped the ball with this episode, for instance: Graphics: TIE -> The SNES has better use of colour but on the Genesis the games uses the higher resolution (the SNES port uses the lower one) meaning bigger characters and bigger battle scenarios. Also in the backround the Genesis renders objects from the Arcade that the Super Nintendon't, like the moon on Ryu's stage and the chains on Sangief's Stage. Presentation: Genesis -> Nothing to say on this one, they got it right! Sound: TIE -> While the SNES has better quality in the sound effects, the Genesis has the better soundtrack, just compare Ken's, Balrog's, Vega's and Sagat's stages to understand how great the music is (specially DAT bass!!!!!!). Gameplay: GENESIS -> Yes, the SNES had a controler with enough buttons to handle the game, but remember, Street Fighter 2 was released in 1993~1994 about the time when the Genesis Model 2 came to the market. Also the six button controller not only could came with the game (in various promotions), but also WAS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR STREET FIGHTER II and that controller CAME with the Model 2. Also the Genesis version had modes that the Super Nintendon't meaning that you have MORE GAMEPLAY ON THE GENESIS!. So in the end, the Genesis version wins. I don't know why they were so biased on this video, it's like saying that Final Fight 2 is better than Streets of Rage 2 because the D pad on the Snes is epic :/ SHAME ON YOU CONSOLE WARS... SHAME ON YOU :V
Yeah, especially the one are mini console, the same happen occurs as snes mini is better than mega drive mini, this video wasn’t bias than before right?... Wrong!, it’s a lie, the Snes Classic Edition has a tons of flaws with not including 2 megaman X sequels, lack of vertical or horizontal shooters like Gradius III, Pop’n Twinbee, Area 88 (U.N. Squadron for western ver) etc. You only get 2 aerial shooters with star fox series, 😒 & the issues of overwitten save states for games with save features. This Snes Classic Edition was a mixed bag for me, the Mega Drive Mini 1 & 2 are winners & a lot better at best.
You need to use a RGB (Scart) on the Genesis. I don't know what TV hookup you're using but it's certainly not RGB and there's way too much color saturation bleeding going on there.
That's a cheap win by Nintendo. Its controller is far from perfect for SF 2, while the 6 bottom sega was designed with SF 2 in mind and soon became standard for the Genesis. Given all of the extras in Special Edition, Gameplay should have gone to Sega.
+Carl Bloke How can a game based on a 2 row 6 button configuration, cause a 2 row 4 button configuration to become standard? One reason the latter layout is common now, is that there has to be room for the two analog sticks on the controller.
SNES: Better graphics & music Genesis: More fluidity in the control, more speed options Crazy for me to admit after all these yrs of nay-saying, but Genesis SF2 is actually better...
I agree with Greg with the speed options on Genesis. They let you crank it up way TOO much, to the point where it looks like the characters are going through seizures instead of fighting. It's too hard to be accurate at all at that speed. And the SNES six button config has become a standard for all console SF ports going forward, as you saw even the PS1 port of SFA3 use this as a default config. So they knew they had something right there, too.
@@CONSOLETRUTH2 speed point is not moot. the fastest genesis options are faster than the fastest snes options, and there are more speeds to choose from
Another note about the controller mention at 10:00 - everyone who wanted to play stuff like this was buying the 6-button controller. It was a very small investment to make to double your buttons to be current with the new releases. On top of that, I always felt like Super Nintendo's controller made the hard punch and hard kick a bit inconvenient to press as triggers instead of buttons. The Sega controller was laid out more like the arcade, so you could easily go from small/medium/large attacks without using different fingers that might be more awkward than others.
Lol! The Street Fighter cast were total jerks, but it was hilarious. Also, LMAO @ the "effect" for Dhalsim's stretching arm! I love that even you guys pointed out how it was done! As for the game itself, yeah, it's a tough call. They're both about even in my book because Genesis is good for the extra modes and speed (if you want more challenge), whereas I'm more used to the SNES version's controls. Yet another great vidya, dudes! I like how you got so many of your friends involved for this one!
Both games are masterpieces, slightly better music and sound effects on SNES and some additional graphical details on Sega(but both games still look incredibly beautiful today) and gameplay is identical... But awesome episode!! You guys should have wayy more subscribers, this show is a hit!! :D
That six button controller for the megadrive/Genesis is the best controller I have ever used. I'm hunting for a USB version for fighting games on my pc. I'll take a Saturn controller as a close second.
Graphics maybe SNES is better, but sound, controls, and presentation all go to Sega. SNES sounds like a pilotwings, same tones. No way the sound is better on SNES. Sega Does what NintenDont
I must admit they got this one wrong. The Genesis/MD six button controller is a gamechanger for me and was released specifically for the game. I’ve stated that IMO the SNES is the greatest console ever but Sega’s Street Fighter plays better with that six button set up.
6 button Genesis controller is the Goat. I like the music on Genesis too. The bass is deeper and closer to the arcade. Nintendo had weird remixes that sounded muffled. Like the band was playing in the room next door. Colors go to Nintendo.
Hilarious episode. I had mentioned this in a previous video for mortal kombat I think. I had to play new challengers with that start switching method for a long time. Though I had played the earlier two versions of street fighter on snes. That aside this episode was hilarious, the not even bothering to look like the game characters gag was awesome. I'm glad you went that way cause it was the first thing that came to mind by the second guy. I had actually stopped watching and was reading the comments by the time the chun li gag played out. I was curious who you got and if the gag kept going, so I went back to check.. and it turned out not to matter cause that girl was super beautiful.
No need to apologize. You actually had to spend money back in the day to get a 6 button controller (which was equivalent of 100 dollars today), or twice the amount for two. If you had money this wasn't an issue, but from what I recall. Twice as many people had SNES in my two states I lived in compared to Sega owners, and very few of them owned 6 button controllers, let alone two of them. Nowadays it doesn't matter.
I can't understand that people thinking about 6 buttons controller from Snes fits better than Genesis version of SF II. It's hard to do the special moves on SNES controller with the triggers, and since buttons configuration on fighting games are 3 and 3 aligned buttons as Genesis controller have, it fits better when you use some strategy changing from low to high punches and kicks. And anyway, with the 3 buttons controller, changing from punch to kick it's not really a big issue, in fact, since in SF II theres no combination of kick and punch moves, it doesnt make almost any difference and you can handle it nice and easy in a few minutes, for my, its harder to get used to the triggers. I played both versions and I never felt as good as playing 3 or 6 sega controller configuration (Genesis and Saturn), even on any SF game, it feels as good as on arcade playing on three in a row buttons config. You can see people buying special controllers for street fighter because 4 + 2 buttons config doesnt feel at all! Even today!
And by the way, some songs from Snes versions sounds clunky and metalized with no reason, even off tune in some tunes. Genesis version sounds more identical to CPS version
+segadreamer dude your fanboy is showing lol! If you think the Genesis music is better you are a total Sega fanboy. Anyone with hearing can hear the superior sound processing the SNES had over the Genesis. Obviously you didn't watch the review. They said you had to buy a six button controller, SNES controller could play it fine with out an extra purchase. Stop being butt hurt.
+VvTaranvV Have you seen my nickname?? I'm obviously a sega fan boy, but that does not quit me of being objective. I played both versions and I can absolutely say that Snes controller doesn't fit at all with SF games. Yeah you gotta buy the six buttons controller, but if you want to live completely the SF experience it worth it. Have you ever played the Mega Drive version? Im sure you'll say "of course" but probably you played more on Snes than on Genesis, and if you did that, you'll probably get used to the Snes version, but you should to play both games till the end consecutively to really have an objective opinion. Try it, maybe you could learn something new. And yeah, I sure prefer Sega sound for the game (except for the voice over thats clearly superior on Snes)
I'm not a fan of either Genesis controller, and saying it's not a big deal to alternate between punches and kicks is pretty ridiculous. It's a huge deal. But you're right, the SNES triggers were always shit for SF2, but you can just change the configuration. Having six buttons on the controller face doesn't matter to someone who only uses strong attacks, like me.
I disagree on sound. While voice samples are better on snes, the music on megadrive is very similar to the arcade coin op version. Both systems use a Yamaha soundchip YM 2151 (arcade) and the Yamaha 2612 (sega). The Sega version is closer to the arcade musically and the drums are way more punchy than the snes version.
Graphics: True, but some people do prefer the more vivid colours on the Genesis/Mega Drive. A few of the endings were also slightly different on MD vs SNES. I liked Guile's ending on SNES better and ChunLi's better on MD. Also, the inclusion of more blood on MD should have been a consideration Presentation: Spot-on. Music: Ehh, it's a bit more subjective. I'll compare my views song-by-song: - Title: SNES, by far. I like the more heavy metal patches here. - Character Select: SNES for me. It feels more smoothed-out to me. - Ryu's Stage: MD, by far. It has that gritty edge that suits the level and the character, while SNES sounds too softened. - E. Honda's: SNES. The Sega version doesn't blend together well. - Blanka's Stage: SNES, primarily because of more fitting instrument choice and percussion. Each is good in its own right, though. - Ken's Stage: MD; though the background notes sound better on SNES, the 25% pulse kills it for me. - Guile's Stage: Tough choice. This one is more subjective, as both versions are done well and it comes down to stylistic preference. I like the SNES better, personally. - Chun-Li's Stage: SNES. The Sega's inability to make good orchestral sounds and samples kills it for me. - Zangiev's Stage: SNES, by far. Better use of volume and instruments. - Dhalsim's Stage: TurboGrafx-16, then SNES. I don't know why, but TurboGrafx-16 sounds the best for some reason, probably because it has softer drums? - Balrog (JP Mike Bison)'s: MD Prototype, then SNES, then MD. I have no clue how the Sega release messed it up so bad, especially considering that the prototype samples were even worse than the release. - Vega (JP Balrog)'s Stage: SNES, by far. The orchestral samples knock the FM patches out of the arena. - Sagat's Stage: SNES; however, I do like the bass and the leads in the Sega better. - M. Bison (JP Vega)'s Stage: SNES, no question. In the Sega version, everything is so off, it's almost a shame. The bells are off, the bass is off, the lead is off, the background notes are mediocre. - Ryu's Ending: This one is also subjective. I slightly prefer the Sega version for this one. - E. Honda's Ending: Subjective, but I prefer MD for its more Oriental character. - Blanka's Ending: SNES; The Sega version doesn't capture the tropical atmosphere. - Ken's Ending (Part 1): SNES. Genesis sounds too brassy for the song. - Ken's Ending (Part 2): MD. Here's where brassy belongs. (Also, SNES doesn't loop.) - Guile's Ending: SNES. Would it kill Sega to learn how to use release envelopes? - ChunLi's Ending: Subjective, but I prefer MD here for its Chinese sound in the final cutscene. - Zangiev's Ending: SNES by far; though MD is good, SNES blows it out of the water. - Dhalsim's Ending: SNES. Better instruments and percussion. Dang did i just write that? Gameplay: Oh boy. Ohhh boy. First of all, the 6-button controller was packed in with later Genesis/MD revisions. I had one that I didn't buy separately or get. Second, I think that the inclusion of more options, like Group Battle and Turbo x10 on MD should have been given a *bit* more consideration, ya think? It comes off as greedy on Capcom's part, since they were already selling Street Fighter 2 on SNES which does have Group Battle, IIRC. And the D-Pad on the SNES being crafted by the gods? The D-Pad on Genesis was crafted by God Himself, so take that >:D
Can't pause Street fighter on the Sega version. When you use a 6 button controller? I have the Sega genesis mini. I use the retro bit 8 button controller. I can pause the game. :) For some reason you can't pause it on the original genesis console. Which is strange.
"The Super Nintendo controller was made for this game" you say? Actually, the Genesis 6 button controller was made for this game. Quite literally. Also, the Genesis round dpad is better for fighting games than the cross dpad on the SNES. It makes quarter circle motions easier.
The SNES controller isn't as comfortable. The shoulder buttons hurt the experience big time. Most of all though, the d-pad is so stiff and it blisters my thumb playing Street Fighter for any extended periods. The Genesis 6-Button molds to my hand like a glove. The 6 face buttons are far superior for fighting games and the d-pad is worlds better then the SNES one.
I've been going back & watching your old videos in between new episodes for a long time now, & I'd love to see you guys revisit some of these. Maybe like a "Revisited" side series? Hell, you could even use the in-character excuse that Pat wasn't around to experience some of these games! "ALLL RIGHT, are we doing this AGAIN?!" 😂 I'm sure working on current things already occupies enough time, but this channel is too fun. Would love any excuse for more content! Keep up the good work.
how can you possible think that the Snes controller is better for this than Sega's 6 pad? Sega has a way better d-pad and the button lay out is just like the arcade.
The d-pad on Snes is horrible compared to Genesis's. Snes one gives you blisters from doing quarter circle moves. I could understand not using the 6 button controller if it was rare or expensive but they are readily available and it was released specifically for fighters. I do not even use a 3 button controller unless it is one of the games you have to. Plus the genesis came out 2 years earlier so I think it deserves a bit of wiggle room when it comes to comparisons. Overall, I like your series though. Hope to see more
Console Wars Honestly, I'm a Super Nintendo guy, but let's get real. You shouldn't be using the 3 button pad as a mark against the Genesis. The six button controller was easy to get, and by the time SF II was available, so was the six button pad.
Actually a huge angle to point out here , , the Genesis version combos link up a lot easier , ,also the straight 6 button layout feels a lot more natural on street fighter2 type games and NEVER had issue with official Sega 6-button D-pads , , , , not certain why you guys decided to imply some sort faulty D-pad on SEGA's part 🤔🤔🤔 ???
6 button controller for SEGA wins Sorry. Ranger X and Contra Hard Corps are even enhanced with the 6 button Controller. Dissing the 6 button controller is like Dissing Wiimotion plus.....SNES had better sound and Color, that is all.
Sounds good and looks good....yeah it is silly that SEGA couldn't get their act together with hardware offerings in the package at retail...It's like they were saying, "Sure we could kick Nintendo's butt, but eeeehhhh who cares when we too busy counting out money." Then they goofed on Shining Force 3 for Saturn and some other questionable software and hardware choices, then we where we are today. I bout the SEGA CD I bought the 32X WTF? That not enough devotion SEGA?
Because they started Hardware that failed...32X I own about 3 ok games for that SEGA CD, a supposed improvement yet the library on SEGA Genesis blows it away. I may like SEGA better than Nintendo during the early 90's but SEGA is not infallible. Look at SEGA Today...Are they the same SEGA that ported those awesome games you mentioned? no....Did that fall from grace happen over night no.Doesn't matter Video games are nothing to me now...Just something I pick up now and then.
don't know why you wouldn't count the 6 button controller, and what do you mean we had to pay for it? I received my genesis with a 6 button, and everyone I knew had a 6 button bundled as well
I desagree, I think Genesis is a better port. The control is much better with a 6 buttons controller. Only sound is better on Snes. Once again having 3 buttons controller is a hardware issue not the game.
Music and graphics are better on the old snes, just check both versions of super street fighter 2. Once again, we are talking about the default controller, you can buy an arcade stick for the snes which is better than any console controller for this kind of games.
@@OutFreak28 this is a retro comparo, as some people have stated the Genesis console they bought came with the 6 button controller as standard...and the Genesis also had a 6 button stick available which had the proper Street Fighter 2 arcade button alignment. The SNES Advvantage Arcade stick had a weird offset with some off the buttons.
@@OutFreak28 In most markets, the 6 button controller was available the same day the game launched on Sega. in some markets they even bundled the game with the controller. Maybe you were in a market were the controller came out after? Sega revised the Genesis several times, with one of those revisions they replaced the 3 button controller with the 6 button, meaning for some people their default controller was the 6 button.
SNES version had slow down due to the 3 MHz CPU. Genesis version had no slow down and tighter controls. Yes, you could pause. The 6 button pad was an understandable purchase because games that required 6 buttons didn't exist when the Mega Drive was first released. This video is all kinds of dumb.
Also, though the SNES had more advanced sound, it also suffered from "reverb" which is where the music all sounds like it was composed from human farts.
I found it kinda amusing that they had so much trouble figuring out which version was better in a lot of categories, since the Genesis version of the game is actually a port of the Super NES game. There was going to be a dedicated Genesis version of the original release, with actually MUCH closer graphics to the arcade, but it was scrapped and the SNES code quickly ported over.
And, you actually CAN pause with the 6 Button Controller. You just have to change it to the 6-Button setup in the options menu.
yup.
Still awful lol
Actually, you don't have to change settings
i remember you wouldn't change any settings to pause. xD but im only familiar with super street fighter
It's been quite a while since i've played Street Fighter II on the Genesis as well. So apologies if I made a mistake.
After the Capcom logo disappears on the opening credits, press Down, R, Up, L, Y, B on controller 2... ten star turbo on snes
YES, they forgot to mention this.
Lol they must have not known that.
Do the code using control 1while the Turbo scrolls across the screen and you can disable special moves. Not many people know that
Yea, big fail that they missed that.
I love more the Sega Version, but the SNES Sound is better! But Super Street Fighter 2 is the really best SF2 _ My Childhood 2000s _
Be that as it may, the SNES hardware wise had better sound and music processing. Genesis would never sound as good regardless.
But the genesis version was segas first SFII release and it blows snes original release out of the water
@Hulk Hogan your a creep.
With the 6 button, all the controls are mapped in order, even the pause works with the pause button.
the 6 button pad is an extra. if you want to make the argument then buy the hori fighting pad or an arcade stick for snes!
That Chun.
Should've had a Cammy join the party too. :3
They don't know that many girls
This wasn't Super SFII.
These two versions are so close to identical, the better game is 98% dependent on what system you preferred as a youth.
Sega is better

Played the snes version for the first time a few years ago and found the dpad to be awful for Street Fighter due to lack of a true diagonal input.
The Genesis dpad is smooth as hell, and makes special moves a breeze.
Yes, the Genesis 6 button pad is legendary only topped by the Saturn pad. I like these guys but sometimes they are crazy ^_^
Greg slapping the controller away is still the best part of the series for me.
SNES better
you can pause with the 6 button pad.
Really? (I mean it, really?)
Twist Zero Yeah I have street fighter II champion edition with the six buttons and you can pause. You just need a six button controller. they got that wrong.
Oh, Capcom was really fucking players up with no pause option in the normal controllers. That's why Street Fighter for me is just on arcades.
You don't really need a 6 button controller, even though the game would heavily benefit from a 6 button controller.
i dunno, we felt the nintendo d-pad was much more comfortable. glad you enjoyed the vid.
Super Nintendo has a code that will go up to 10x's faster.
@Ryu played with the code active on mine at all times with no issues my friend. I see why I like Ken better 🤣 🤣
Cool how bout those voices and music lol
Thankfully, RetroBit has made some Sega-licensed wired and wireless MegaDrive AND Saturn pads for PC/console!
Yes i agree. I'm not the biggest fan of shoulder buttons. Just feels awkward.
I feel it a little too smooth...
lmfao 9:58 got me so hard...smack the controller right out of his hand... "you hade to buy that!"
It was available for purchase along with that Street fighter
Its called bias, not personal taste.
Controller is personal preference. I can play equally well with either controller so it's really a moot point.
ST2 turbo on SNES also has 10 star speed, you have to do a code just after you turn the game on during the Capcom presentation
+MadGaz85 I did not know that!
You can change the speed on the SNES version
Sega 6 buttons control is the best, is more like the arcade
6 buttons is cool to execute combos better but that d-pad was horrible.

For the SNES version, use the third-party 6-button controller or the arcade stick.
For the Sega version, use the 6-button controller or arcade stick, official or third-party regardless.
Unfortunately, SFII on SNES has blood removed from the post-fight screens. However, the Arcade and Mega Drive versions have the blood retained.
I think the soundtrack is better on the Genesis, because they sound close to the original CPS1 arcade...
Finally, someone gets it. The Genny sound chip is a less powerful variation to the one used by Capcom in the arcade.
Yet the sound effects are way better on SNES. And this coming from a Genesis owner :)
@@8BitSplendor They used a bad sound driver on the Genesis version. There's actually a ROM patch that improves the sound effect quality.
I'm using Retron 5, that's why it makes sense ;)
Is there slowdown on the snes version?
And SNES version doesn't have the CPS1 chains.
It's funny how u say the Sega 6 button controller is better. The SNES controller is basically today's controller with joysticks and 2 extra should buttons, lol.

I agree with everything except the gameplay. The 6 button genesis controller is amazing.
They have to use the default controller come with the box
+Agustin Goicoechea The SNES d-pad is just better for this game. I love both consoles, but this one is no contest at all.
+leadbones the d-pad is better. but I really like having 6 buttons on the front. is much more arcade like.
+Agustin Goicoechea Yes and when the game came out it was available and eventually became standard when buying a genesis.
+kirgeez yeah. I bought the Genesis around 1994. it came with 6 button controllers and an Eternal Champions poster! :D
Do you use a RGB-cable for Genesis? With RGB using the graphic is so much better !
"Listening to the music back to back, it's clear Super Nintendo is superior"
*Proceeds to compare the excellent arcade-like tracks of the Genesis version with the derpy MIDI samples of the SNES version*
The 6 button control should be used for comparison, it was bundled with the 32x and genesis 3, so depending on what you bought it did come as a pack in control, It is far better than the snes control for fighting games, better button layout and better d-pad, I seriously don't know how you can say the snes d-pad is better especially for fighting games, the best fighting game pad of all time has the same d-pad as the megadrive and its the saturn pad. having the diagonals makes it far easier to pull off a dragon punch.
the music is subjective for example i much prefer guile's music on the megadrive version, the one area snes wins hands down is the voice overs with the exception of a few stages i like the megadrive music better like i said its subjective
also as mentioned by others the graphics are of a higher resolution on the megadrive and it plays faster and has less slowdown this should have given it the win in that category.
@@rootykazooty351 no, what's sad is people like you who call everyone who doesn't agree with you a fanboy.
But guiles theme is supreme on nintendo
Eventhough it's a bit choppy it does sound more like the arcade. I did a sound test not so long ago. I own SF anniversary collection on xbox a Genises a SNES a SNES classic and a gen 2 and 3 Genesis so I booted SF2T then Turbo on SNES the special championship edition. If you play the arcade version the music is gritty whereas the SNES is very clean and the elephants you need the elephants drowning out the music. But both games are a bit flawed they both missing frames of animation. If you take best of the SNES and the Genesis you'll get almost arcade perfect.
Both versions are really close :)
0:49 The first SF had command input specials and 6 button controls.
Ken's background music sounds better on Genesis. SNES version sounds way to twingy.
Ditto with Guile.
I agree with the video
never got a model 2 or 3. we keep it old school with model 1. good old model 1 with a headphones input.
3:28 I think Sega had better detail in this level, not to mention, it has a moon, unlike Nintendo
WAIT! The 6-button controller came with the model 2 genesis
Sorry super..but shoulder buttons are just awkward, and in my opinion the 6 button Sega is much set up better for fighting games and allows for better control.
Great series guys, 2 thumbs up
neil webster Thank You!
+Console Wars 2 thumbs up!
Best reviews i have seen in a while. It is sad that people still dint know about this channel, it deserves a lot more subscribers and views
sorry to pain you. hopefully well improve in future vids. thanks for watching anyways
Why Dan didn't mentioned the lack of CPS1 chains on SNES?
Wait a minute. You sure as hell can pause during game play with the six button controller!
+Robert NES816
Thats crazy how these people are ignorant of this, how did they miss this?
+Loco Shinobi I know right? Its something so easy to find out lol.
+Robert NES816
Just press the start button lol.
Can't do that. Its easier to assume.
Right.
They dropped the ball with this episode, for instance:
Graphics: TIE -> The SNES has better use of colour but on the Genesis the games uses the higher resolution (the SNES port uses the lower one) meaning bigger characters and bigger battle scenarios.
I don't know why they were so biased on this video, it's like saying that Final Fight 2 is better than Streets of Rage 2 because the D pad on the Snes is epic :/
SHAME ON YOU CONSOLE WARS...
I think they're most likely either using Composite, or RF switch. Though my bet is on the RF Switch.
I was quite surprised to find out that the Genesis version suffers from some serious slowdown
That's a cheap win by Nintendo. Its controller is far from perfect for SF 2, while the 6 bottom sega was designed with SF 2 in mind and soon became standard for the Genesis. Given all of the extras in Special Edition, Gameplay should have gone to Sega.
+Christopher Dawson Which controller design became standard for the Sony Play Station?
+Christopher Dawson Yeah gee hum I wonder why the SNES pad config became the industry standard then...
+MadGaz85 uh no not really. It was because of this game that the SNES's d pad became the standard
+Carl Bloke How can a game based on a 2 row 6 button configuration, cause a 2 row 4 button configuration to become standard? One reason the latter layout is common now, is that there has to be room for the two analog sticks on the controller.
we like to think so too. thanks for watching.
SNES: Better graphics & music
Genesis: More fluidity in the control, more speed options
Crazy for me to admit after all these yrs of nay-saying, but Genesis SF2 is actually better...
lol you call me SNES fanboy after i admit Genesis is better. GTFO. And yes, SNES music is better. Are your ears functional?
I agree with Greg with the speed options on Genesis. They let you crank it up way TOO much, to the point where it looks like the characters are going through seizures instead of fighting. It's too hard to be accurate at all at that speed. And the SNES six button config has become a standard for all console SF ports going forward, as you saw even the PS1 port of SFA3 use this as a default config. So they knew they had something right there, too.
I agree with this video
Down R up L Y B controller 2 gives 10 star turbo for SNES so speed point is moot. As a fan of both consoles, the SNES is better
Think you guys could compare Mortal Kombat 2?
+John Mitchell snes would def win !!!!
+girlsdrinkfeck I agree. The graphics on the SNES version is better. But the music on the Genesis/32x version sounds AMAZING!
+John Mitchell I think a better comparison would be Mortal Kombat 3.
+John Mitchell Yes, that, MK3, and even UMK3. It would only be fair. :)
MK1 Gen > Snes
MK2 Snes > Gen
MK3 Snes > Gen
MK3 Ultimate Gen > Snes
... so its a draw
6 button controller ftw guys. Sorry.
+segadreamer BTW I was an SF arcade gamer, and Genesis doea a great job giving you the arcade feeling with its soundtrack.
+clbna 100% agree
Only ignorant people would say sound is better on the genesis when you can clearly see in this video SNES sound is better
+Carl Bloke Hey be nice to the deaf people, it's not their fault they can't hear properly. ;)
@@carlbloke8797 the SNES soundtrack sounds like derpy bitcrushed MIDI samples being played back on underwater speakers.
The intro THE BEST OF THE BEST :D
I love you guys, god job in every work
Graphics: True, but some people do prefer the more vivid colours on the Genesis/Mega Drive. A few of the endings were also slightly different on MD vs SNES. I liked Guile's ending on SNES better and ChunLi's better on MD. Also, the inclusion of more blood on MD should have been a consideration
Presentation: Spot-on.
Music: Ehh, it's a bit more subjective. I'll compare my views song-by-song:
- Title: SNES, by far.
(Also, SNES doesn't loop.)
- Guile's Ending: SNES.
***** Bu- But I'm allergic to cookies D:

Killer answer. I couldn't agree more sir.
SuperNES wins!..
Eh, I disagree with most of your breakdowns. But whatever, Snes music fans will prefer their hollow audio and weak bass/drums all day.
So GNARLY! Ryu sitting down drinking to the Game's Theme Music...PURE AWESOMENESS
She is the most beautifull chun li I ever seen!
Can't pause Street fighter on the Sega version. When you use a 6 button controller? I have the Sega genesis mini. I use the retro bit 8 button controller. I can pause the game. :)
For some reason you can't pause it on the original genesis console. Which is strange.
Ryu had me crying😂
8:55 was a perfect subtle joke that I’m sure is under appreciated!
This episode needs a direct sequel. The douchey Street Fighter characters need to return.
I skipped around in this video, do they address the missing characters that are available in the sega version?
"The Super Nintendo controller was made for this game" you say? Actually, the Genesis 6 button controller was made for this game. Quite literally. Also, the Genesis round dpad is better for fighting games than the cross dpad on the SNES. It makes quarter circle motions easier.
I think is a matter of preference personally I feel the Genises is too sensitive for my liking.
"ALLL RIGHT, are we doing this AGAIN?!" 😂
I'm sure working on current things already occupies enough time, but this channel is too fun. Would love any excuse for more content! Keep up the good work.
how can you possible think that the Snes controller is better for this than Sega's 6 pad? Sega has a way better d-pad and the button lay out is just like the arcade.
We never had a 6 button Sega controller growing up so we didn't use one for this episode. Generation 1 Genesis.
What Console are we exactly talking about? Street Fighter SCE for what?
So we're talking about Turbo graphics?
why ps1 ps2 ps3 ps4 xbox xbox 360 xbox one sega dreamcast have the same button design of snes ,?
you can actually pause with the six button controller. or at least, you can in the UK on Mega Drive, not sure if the US Genesis was different?
don't know why you wouldn't count the 6 button controller, and what do you mean we had to pay for it? I received my genesis with a 6 button, and everyone I knew had a 6 button bundled as well
By the time I bought my Sega Genesis, it came with a 6-button controller. I didn't need to buy anything extra.
Once again Super Nintendo gets a Flawless victory Hadouken.
wrong game
For some reason, the "Sega" guy in this series reminds me of Rob McElhenney/Mac from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia"" haha
The SNES Advvantage Arcade stick had a weird offset with some off the buttons.
nope.
The game actually came out before the 6 button controller,
@@OutFreak28 In most markets, the 6 button controller was available the same day the game launched on Sega. in some markets they even bundled the game with the controller.
Maybe you were in a market were the controller came out after?
Sega revised the Genesis several times, with one of those revisions they replaced the 3 button controller with the 6 button, meaning for some people their default controller was the 6 button.
10:02 I hit the floor and died HAHAHAHA
SNES version had slow down due to the 3 MHz CPU. Genesis version had no slow down and tighter controls. Yes, you could pause. The 6 button pad was an understandable purchase because games that required 6 buttons didn't exist when the Mega Drive was first released. This video is all kinds of dumb.
Also, though the SNES had more advanced sound, it also suffered from "reverb" which is where the music all sounds like it was composed from human farts.
I love more the Sega Version, but the SNES Sound is better! But Super Street Fighter 2 is the really best SF2 _ My Childhood 2000s _
love ninja gaiden. that sounds like a good idea.
Sega wins I'm afraid, the SNES version is missing the CPS1 chain combos from the arcade, the Mega Drive version has them! ;-)
Sam as Chun Li is damn hot...
