So early in the season, and so god damn clean and powerful, musically and visually. Heres hoping for a win from you guys this year, cant wait for the Clifton NJ Show
I'm digging the technology! They always have something in their show. Now they found music that already has it integrated in. All that's missing for me is a more exciting and visually stimulating ending.
How I never noticed the woman having a spiritual experience the whole show until now, I'll never know. I feel you, that was pretty much me in the theater seeing this show the first time in June.
They probably just didn't have the entire intended show on the field yet and they needed a stopping point that sort of made sense. Feedback like this (and judge feedback) is gonna end up correcting it, I hope.
@@thatoneguy285i mean most of the drill has the hornline right in the front look at tilt’s closer, that hit is pretty “in your face” cause the hornline is in front of you
To clear up some misconception on the use of technology; nothing has been recorded for the trumpet sound mashup. Its a computer program that takes a live clip from the sound of the horn going into the mic and loops it for a determined amount of time. Nothing is pre-recorded
At like I think it was 11:04 or something a guy trips while back stepping what was the tempo at for him to trip my gosh haha but what a performance good job everyone!! Let's go bloooooo!!!!!
Interesting concept with the looping. Some really cool effects and entertaining. I question the degree of difficulty: stand still, play some licks, loop those licks as you march while not playing. Most of their difficult playing is standing still. I expected more from them this year, and that is not it. We'll see if the judges like it.
I saw this when they were in Cincinnati. What the heck did they do with the ending?? Nothing wrong with the fadeout, but I liked it when they ran around and went to that last set where the build up culminated to nothing and they turned their heads to the audience. But now they've just made it kinda... weird. Hopefully it's getting rewritten as we speak.
Diehlman Estes At first I was uncertain about the tech. But now I'm totaling digging it. It's part of the "noise" of the show. Also, if you haven't seen SCV's "The Spark of Invention" show yet they too have similar tech in their show.
I guess my feelings were like last years show. I didn't really like it until I watched it more. I watched this a second time yesterday and was trying to figure out where the horn line was playing and where they recorded themselves. Just takes time. Loved last years show!
DKC7437LC The point of the technology is to alter the sound and make the brass sound more like just noise and not any certain note or melody. Also think of the show as people communicating by Morse code. The random entrances and back and forth playing makes it seem as if two people are communicating to each other.
Get rid of those balls. They look like hell and the way their tubing makes an un-cleanable visual mess in motion cannot be surmounted (at least with this prop design). The color guard looks very good otherwise, the drumline sounds great with only a few tiny nits that will be picked, the hornline has a few face-melting moments, but damn. Not at all a fan of this prop.
I see many opportunities to add visual punch, but those tubes aren't working. The guard looks great and it might be a great effect if they were more visible, but they're not more visible. They need more color. I love love the music.
My favorite part is the woman having some sort of spiritual awakening in the corner.
Same 😂
lol ikr
It's crazy how different this is compared to their Finals show.

The trumpet player at 11:06 had a great recovery
Who is here in 2019? The nostalgia is real 😓
That woman in the bottom right corner is feeling it so hard...
Houston Black HAHA! That's exactly what I was thinking.
***** That's the best thing I've read. I thought I got into the shows. But dang.
Houston Black Drum corps -- on ecstacy!!

Chad Tarver They changed the ending to Tilt quite a bit, i'm sure they aren't afraid to do that to this show either.
How I never noticed the woman having a spiritual experience the whole show until now, I'll never know.
I feel you, that was pretty much me in the theater seeing this show the first time in June.
That moment when you are watching Exactly one year later and you realize that they haven't announced their show title...
The end of Woods is just perfect. The swaying and the waves. UGH! 4 days and I get to see them!
That's probably the only time Univers Zero will be used in this context
Damn... The Bluecoats always have such bad ass drum features and GORGEOUS ballads. Good luck this year Bluecoats!
They're gonna need to change that ending.
They always do
They probably just didn't have the entire intended show on the field yet and they needed a stopping point that sort of made sense. Feedback like this (and judge feedback) is gonna end up correcting it, I hope.
2 years late and they did change it but i personally liked this ending better
Let's be honest: we all sit at our computers and have PRAISE THE CORPS moments like that woman did.
This show was sooooo beautiful.
The first horn statements with what I assume to be electronic bass is chill inducing
Wow, this audio is amazing. Thanks!
Just fucking amazing. The first big chord at the beginning gives me chills every time. Go blue!!!!
It's so cool that with a 75 member hornline(I counted just the hornline members at 11:20) that they produced this amount of sound
I’ve always thought 2015 Bluecoats sounds was so different and in your face than the other years
@@thatoneguy285i mean most of the drill has the hornline right in the front
look at tilt’s closer, that hit is pretty “in your face” cause the hornline is in front of you
At 4:44 is that cool melody we are hearing carried by the brass or electronics?
Derek Smith There are electronic loops leading up to it, but at 4:44 it's all natural.
okay so that must be why those measures after 4:44 sound different.
I had chills from the first chord to the end. jesus
Wouldve loved to see this show live
They have to be saving something for the end.

Adding on to that he did a freaking great recover!!!
Loving this show.. just need to clean up the closer and push energy through end of show.. BD watch-out, Bloooo will be in the mix this year
2:55 mello on the 25 slips!! haha good recovery
That woman in the right corner is literally me💕😂 #BLOOOO loved this performance
This was better than the finals version. Dont know why they changed it
So. Many. Chills.
we're just gonna pretend we didnt hear that screw up at the beggining of the ballad :)
Haha, it's all good we know bluecoats always dominates
DRUM LIKE EAZY Why even bother commenting on this? This is a full runthrough at the end of an all day rehearsal.
Evan Kleve True
why cant drum corps last through football season. it would be so cool to see a corps preform at the super bowl. do you know how cool that would be?
yeah but unless it was downside up no one would care as much as they would for katy perry or some other singer.
damn that rifle at 11:28 threw it pretty high haha hope it didn't snap
The people in the back are alternates. Theres at least one per section

ITS SO WEIRD NOT HEARING THEM DO THE COOL TRILL THINGY AT 5:23
I feel the same. What gets me worse is the visuals and 1st trumpets not playing at 2:58.
Even at 4:45 the girl in the purple at the bottom left was like "Hey, look at the weird girl over there......"
Why would any one go into the video and dislike it, if you dont like it dont watch it
the intro ust gets me every time
Univers Zero! Univers Zero!!
I don't like the show but damn did they perform this show really good!
Same here. I don't know about you, but I just don't like all of the technology they use in it....

Diehlman Estes I mean "Kinetic Noise".. It would only make sense right?

What's with the lone contra player in the back...wait why are the people in the back not marching in general?
Could be injured or filling in for somebody that got injured and doesn't know the show yet idk
Those are the subs in case someone gets sick or injured. They have to keep up to date on the show though
their the alternates :/
I must of hit the like button about 1,000 times.
Why was there a tuba player just standing on the back sideline by the 45 yard line? Was he injured maybe?
+thatoneguy285
I'd say an alternate, don't see any holes and there are 16 on the field. I had a friend last year who was one with another corps.
what the show called?
kinetic NOISE!
I have always wondered why there are people in the back practicing??
They are probably alternates.
yeah. either alts or newcomers who dont know the entire show yet
If it's one thing I hate it's electronics over a drum feature, especially the basses, who does that !?!?
did anyone else notice the guy fall at the end?
I'm seeing at least top 3 here
you were right :)
why are they booing...:(
Do the people in the back not know the drill or something?
TSFLYER4 They are probably alternates.
I do feel bad for them! Especially the contra player
I understand the feel.
I low-key like the old ending
HAHHAHA 11:03 at the right 45 yard line hahahhaha
11:06 OUCH!!!
11:06 😓
Best ending
Ugh, turn down the syntheziser. It's drum and bugle corps, not drum and synth corps. Other than than, I enjoyed it.
Dagum
This is a decent show... I would rate 2/7

Kyle Nally Hence why everyone has their own opinion. And you and the other guy seem to be the only ones (so far) that have a problem with it.
Nice but electronics has no business on the field in DCI. The art is ruined.
Get with the times
