Yeah, I couldn’t immediately remember what 8 was by number alone, but in hindsight it makes so much sense why that episode’s getting premiered. witches weighing as much as a duck is a reference to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail which i would highly recommend cuz its peak british humor
I like to think Luz loses her “weak nerd arms” after working for Eda for so long. She’s had to carry sacks full of potions to town, carry equipment around, and just generally put in a lot of work over time. I think by this point she’s put on some muscle.
You'll definitely meet the "R" character in season 2, their my number one favourite character in the show, and someone very important to both Eda and the show
"Red" is actually Luz'a mom, Camilla. The R stands for her maiden name "Ramirez." She and Eda did date for a while, but it didn't work out. Camilla eventually met Luz's father, a human, fell in loved, and decided to move to the human realm to get married and raise a family. She also used her experiences on The Boiling Isle as the basis for "The Good Witch Azura" books, which she wrote, using the profits from which to go to veterinary school.
Amity's adorably awkward moment in the first scene with Luz is how I imagine your first in-person interaction with Elijah/Not-So Average Fangirl must've been
28:11 I never knew how much I needed a Scottish girl ranting about the stupidity of Quidditch and using the words "Worth 150 points, my fucking arse!" Subscribed just for that. (And because I see you're doing She-Ra reactions now.)
The reason everyone is so excited for you to see season 2 is obviously because everyone figures out that Amity loves Luz, except for Luz herself becuase she is STILL oblivious, so Eda, King, Hooty, Willow, and Gus all set them up, and on the season finale they finally get together, and then emperor belos is killed by the adorableness and power of lumity :) unfonurtantly though, at the beginning of season 3, we learn belos had made a clone of himself and that clone is now seeking out revenge on Luz and Amity. We still don't know if the clone is exactly the same as his original self though....
30:21 "How do you explain this?" Um, why be a witch if you can't even magic away a few pounds? It's the amazing witch diet - just blink and watch your waistline melt away! Gonna have to go back to google for "having a banana".
Amity is so used to suppressing her emotions that now that she has gotten past acknowledging to herself who she likes she isn't sure how to express to the person she likes that she likes them so is in *anxious panic* mode now just from interacting with them.
Ahhhh, yes the "Red"-person!!!! You have such a good eye for details! Also, for this reaction to the rusty smidget you have earned my sub! (And also for everything else of course XD) I legit had to pause the video and laughed for 5 minutes straight until I was crying from laughter! Oh boy, if these episodes already make you freak out like this...I am SO on board for the ride!
One last comment: I love that your clue that the letters are not written by ~Lus~ Luz is that she (probably) wouldn't write her name wrong... and not that she wouldn't write letters lying about how much she loves the camp while simultaneously texting her from the Demon Realm. Or that she all but explicitely said that she isn't writing the letters. Honestly, it's the mark of a true detective: Missing the forest for the trees.
I never realised that the kne in red was in a (covered) photo so early on omfg also witches weigh the same as a duck is a Month Python and the Holy Grail reference
The "R" You pointed out actually stands for "REIGN", or the Royal Emperor's Intelligentsia Guard Network 💂♀️ 💂♂️ , Eda's relative is a head agent working with Lilith behind the scenes to capture The Owl 🦉 Lady.
note the darker red hair on lilith in that photo. note the reddish shade of amity's natural hair colour. note the way the blight parents treat her worse than the twins, like they barely see her as their daughter. the foreshadowing... let's just say you have to sacrifice a lot to get to the top of the emperor's coven.
The reason witches weigh the same as a duck: Witches burn, therefor they're made of wood. Wood floats as do ducks. Therefor witches weigh the same as ducks.
So, at this point, the creator stepped back, took a look at her work, and decided to cut any last remaining breaks and gunned this show towards epicness
Shermy becomes a fantastic character in season 3 Can't wait for you to see Luz's gym training arc Also my favorite glyph is coming soon Its wild that you guessed Red's name correctly! King's parents are powerful people Telanosa's joining the emperor's coven is funny
12:15 my heart just stopped there watching you talk about my favourite character. Also a trivia: everytime you are back on camera after the "bye Mosco" joke, I say "welcome back!".
😂Thank you for this, Mosco 🙏 Every single minute of this video was pure gold. You've become our lifeline in these bleak times, as we wait for the next special episode of the third season to drop. I hope you've taken good notice that Molly Ostertag wrote both this episode and Enchanting Grom Fright. Every time you see her taking writing credits in a TOH episode, you know things are going to get GAE 😉 (Also, nice catch on "Red"! Yes, we'll be seeing more of this character. They'll be important in season 2) Oh and btw, the demon piggy mug is just adorable 😍
I see you have finally witnessed episode 17 amity, or as several people in the fandom have dubbed her; the gay tomato. My favorite detail in the entire episode is that since amity had a cast at the end of the episode, that means that during the “who’s amity” moment she, through the sheer power of gay and awkwardness, pretty much kneeled on her broken leg with no reaction whatsoever. I also love willow, she was so good in this episode. I can’t wait for the next episode, it’s a bit of a doozy to say the least.
Witches weighing as much as a duck is, I believe, a Monty Python reference. The next two episodes make up the season finale. I can't believe this is the last time we ever get to be happy.

Ah, about how you can love Amity so quickly? The VA is Mae Whitman, who was Katara on "Avatar:TLA" for years. Kind, loving BA, that's who she is! 😉
witches weighing as much as a duck is a reference to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail which i would highly recommend cuz its peak british humor
I like that the Boiling Isles canonically don’t have homophobia, meaning that even the bad guys don’t invalidate the Gay
BRO we getting back to back to back I really like ur reaction keep up what your doing.
Apparently the Rusty Smigde is apparently a new feature of Grudgeby. It was added to replace something called the "Deus Ex Machina"
And Boscha was lying when she said all magic sports have that kind of mechanic.
I like to think Luz loses her “weak nerd arms” after working for Eda for so long. She’s had to carry sacks full of potions to town, carry equipment around, and just generally put in a lot of work over time. I think by this point she’s put on some muscle.
Omg I did not know "Red" has a cameo in this ep!
The amount of stuff Mosco picks up on that I didn't is impressive for an "idiot"
You'll definitely meet the "R" character in season 2, their my number one favourite character in the show, and someone very important to both Eda and the show
I've never seen this show. I can't imagine what it's like without Mosco's reactions. They seem like an integral part of the experience.
"Witches weigh the same as a duck" is of course a reference to "Monty Python and the Holy Grail..."
"Red" is actually Luz'a mom, Camilla. The R stands for her maiden name "Ramirez." She and Eda did date for a while, but it didn't work out. Camilla eventually met Luz's father, a human, fell in loved, and decided to move to the human realm to get married and raise a family. She also used her experiences on The Boiling Isle as the basis for "The Good Witch Azura" books, which she wrote, using the profits from which to go to veterinary school.
pfff this is SENDING me
Amity's adorably awkward moment in the first scene with Luz is how I imagine your first in-person interaction with Elijah/Not-So Average Fangirl must've been
The Scottish rage is so refreshing
28:11 I never knew how much I needed a Scottish girl ranting about the stupidity of Quidditch and using the words "Worth 150 points, my fucking arse!"
Subscribed just for that. (And because I see you're doing She-Ra reactions now.)
Lumity is the best relationship disney has ever brought
The reason everyone is so excited for you to see season 2 is obviously because everyone figures out that Amity loves Luz, except for Luz herself becuase she is STILL oblivious, so Eda, King, Hooty, Willow, and Gus all set them up, and on the season finale they finally get together, and then emperor belos is killed by the adorableness and power of lumity :)
unfonurtantly though, at the beginning of season 3, we learn belos had made a clone of himself and that clone is now seeking out revenge on Luz and Amity. We still don't know if the clone is exactly the same as his original self though....
27:05 this was the best reaction to this moment ive seen 😅 props to the editors for making it that much better too!
30:21 "How do you explain this?" Um, why be a witch if you can't even magic away a few pounds? It's the amazing witch diet - just blink and watch your waistline melt away!
Gonna have to go back to google for "having a banana".
Your reaction to the golden stitch had me in tears.
Okay, but I genuinely can't wait for you to see who *has* been writing the notes to Luzs mum! I like fell in platonic love with them.
I never noticed the handwriting inconsistencies! Lol guess Amity's dad isn't as perfect as everything as he always seems
11:48 They had a cameo appearance way back in season 1?! That's crazy.
“Red” is actually Reginald Hargreeves from the Umbrella Academy, and that photo is foreshadowing the season 2 crossover between the shows
One last comment: I love that your clue that the letters are not written by ~Lus~ Luz is that she (probably) wouldn't write her name wrong... and not that she wouldn't write letters lying about how much she loves the camp while simultaneously texting her from the Demon Realm. Or that she all but explicitely said that she isn't writing the letters.
Honestly, it's the mark of a true detective: Missing the forest for the trees.
so is Amity forgiven for the Cupcakes?
Edit: Was trying to be cheeky but turns out you actually do forgive Amity for it
LOL I mean.... I'm like..... 5% still mad about it, but.... she's too cute to be that angry with now LOL
@@WeeLassReacts agreed xD Amity is very adorable
I never realised that the kne in red was in a (covered) photo so early on
omfg
also witches weigh the same as a duck is a Month Python and the Holy Grail reference
The "R" You pointed out actually stands for "REIGN", or the Royal Emperor's Intelligentsia Guard Network 💂♀️ 💂♂️ , Eda's relative is a head agent working with Lilith behind the scenes to capture The Owl 🦉 Lady.
No. It stands for RAT: Rage Against the Throne and they are actually a double agent for the resistance inside the Emperors coven.
I had no idea that “red” had a cameo in season 1, but I’m all here for it!
Dunno if your mods told you, but "witches weigh the same as a duck" is a joke in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
yeah we told her ahah. got a nice laugh when we found out she thought it was genuine part of the world building
Grudgby is like if Rugby and Quidditch had a baby and it got adopted by the Brothers Grimm.
note the darker red hair on lilith in that photo. note the reddish shade of amity's natural hair colour. note the way the blight parents treat her worse than the twins, like they barely see her as their daughter. the foreshadowing... let's just say you have to sacrifice a lot to get to the top of the emperor's coven.
Amity being a flustered lesbian disaster is the best part of this episode.
The reason witches weigh the same as a duck: Witches burn, therefor they're made of wood. Wood floats as do ducks. Therefor witches weigh the same as ducks.
Who are you, who are so wise in the ways of science?
Luz is borderline Ash Ketchum levels of random effortless strength.
12:09 well that's Eda, Lilith in the back and the third person(the one with red outfit and glasses) will be revealed in season 2! :)
12:08
I can't believe this is the first introduction of The One That Maimed Eda!
So, at this point, the creator stepped back, took a look at her work, and decided to cut any last remaining breaks and gunned this show towards epicness
Blushes means crushes!😁❤️
Luz' love of backstory was ALL OF US as we were watching this show.
Shermy becomes a fantastic character in season 3
Can't wait for you to see Luz's gym training arc
Also my favorite glyph is coming soon
Its wild that you guessed Red's name correctly!
King's parents are powerful people
Telanosa's joining the emperor's coven is funny
Mosco: I'm gonna be sad if the episode is about Eda's curse and not about gay.
The Owl House: well, why not BOTH???
12:15 my heart just stopped there watching you talk about my favourite character.
Also a trivia: everytime you are back on camera after the "bye Mosco" joke, I say "welcome back!".
😂Thank you for this, Mosco 🙏 Every single minute of this video was pure gold. You've become our lifeline in these bleak times, as we wait for the next special episode of the third season to drop.
I hope you've taken good notice that Molly Ostertag wrote both this episode and Enchanting Grom Fright. Every time you see her taking writing credits in a TOH episode, you know things are going to get GAE 😉
(Also, nice catch on "Red"! Yes, we'll be seeing more of this character. They'll be important in season 2)
Oh and btw, the demon piggy mug is just adorable 😍
"Turn the light switch on too fast and we burn". HA! Tell it, girl! From pale to lobster in nothin' flat!
11:48
Oh my god how on earth did you notice that? That was so well hidden. And yeah it’s important remember it.
I would also recommend making 2x05, 2x12, and 2x20 premieres! Those episodes all blew up the fandom for various reasons.
Also 2×16
@@albanewest2361 I think she mentioned that one in the video. I was listing episodes that she hadn’t already said for premieres.
@@JNDReacts Oooh OK. That makes sense. I didn't watch every video.
Your Golden snitch rant is adorably amazing 🤣
Witches weighing as much as a duck is, I believe, a Monty Python reference.
The next two episodes make up the season finale. I can't believe this is the last time we ever get to be happy.
