This is Episode 3 of my figure painting tutorial. Here I find inspiration from the Renaissance artists and take a look at Cernnini's verdaccio technique as part of the underpainting for oil paints. Had a lot of fun with this art video. Hope I make your day better :)

Recently I switched to A3, and it was a challenge.
I can only imagine how tough it is to paint on such a large scale.
Great Verdaccio you did there! :)
A question I could not solve myself, how thick should you paint over the verdaccio?
Is it a glaze ore opaque?

It is not difficult to paint on large scale. It is easier and more fun. You just use more paint. Scary is first time when You adjust to bigger size. Than You don't want to paint small paintings. One thing can be hard. Composition. Because not every your little sketch will look good on a bigger scale. This can be tricky. But big paintings are not practical. Not selling well.

I hope you see this question, do you need to wait to the paint is dry or you just paint the verdaccio over the fresh paint of the imprimatura?...thank you in advance for answer.
