How Ghanaian Gari is made from Cassava in a factory

Gari is a fine to coarse creamy granular flour of varying texture made from tubers of cassava.
In today’s video, I take you along on how Gari is also processed in large quantities in a Gari processing factory located at Akrofrom on the Techiman - Wenchi road in the Bono East Region of Ghana.
I had a lot of fun filming this episode because the workers were so welcoming and very interactive.
As part of the processes involved in the making, the gari, are cleaning of the cassava after harvesting, peeling them off, milling them with a milling machine, drying under the sun for 3 days to drain the water in it as well as squeezing of the starch out, left to ferment and then fried either in palm oil or without palm oil and serves as a major staple food in West Africa.
