Man those xmaxx are beats, and extremely water proof, 😂 I’m not going to lie I was kinda hoping the xmaxx was going to sink to oblivion so someone would have to go diving lol..

You know Kev’s got a new Xmaxx when......😂. Always a blast to watch you let it rip!! It also lets me know how close to the edge I can take the almost indestructible Xmaxx w out breaking it! I have the Max 5 and the 1650KV ready to install but I’m waiting to have your vid as backup in case I forget how to put something back together! Amazing how much it helps having you lead the way so we can learn from the experience!! Appreciate what you do bro!!

If you have a water proof truck its fine

@@gioabusalah9159 if you are 100 percent sure there water proof they should have no problem in rain or just wet areas. If you completely sink the truck like he did you have to take them apart and clean them

Hey Kevin: great video by the way. In terms of the camera quality and mic quality, I think your Macgyver mic solution was perfect. The audio sounds much better and the camera setting seem much better than they were before. I just wanted to thank you for the awesome content as you taught me that we should get an Xmaxx. So we got one for my dads birthday and we both love it so much. Keep up the great work!!!!

My son has that same car, when you do get it be sure to purchase the metal motor gear replacements. The plastic ones they come with don’t last more than 2 runs.
The k989 is a good one. Just be sure to clean the difs and make sure there is no slop on the a arms. Check out beaver hobbys k989

Another great video, Kev. Thanks for sharing. The video quality of the phone is MUCH better than the Gopro. That keeps me from buying the Gopro. Thanks for saving me some money.
I actually liked the new camera with the mic. On the phone you are louder then the surrounding sound. With the new mic you are a lot more equal. Nice adjustment.

The gopro looks a bit soft to my eye. The phones a bit sharper and has better stability. The mic has definitely improved the sound quality though. I'd stick with the phone personally Kev.

Feel the same felt like the video was shot in a very low aperture with a small focal distance lots of stuff was not in focus maybe it’s a post processing issue? It was especially noticeable on the zoomed in scenes.
@@jfrc2382 the footage just looked a bit juddery to me but I would expect the gopro to have better stability then the phone but that could always be cured with a firmware update or maybe kev didn't have it switched on? I hear that the settings need to be dialled in correctly to get the most out of it as well.

I had my new xmax out first day ran it into a brick mailbox broke the front diff cover. now I'm doing what you did on the the body but I'm useing expox.
I think this camera def shows the colors way better. Keep up the content love your channels from the USA.

OMG i am astonished how long that x-maxx lasted in that lake without the batteries frying/shorting out or the electrical systems just stopping!!?? I was cringing watching it!! It was painful to watch!! Horror story for an rc car 20 years ago!! lol That x-maxx deserves a medal for what it what put through and survived for sooo long!!?? Amazing!!

Awesome video Kev!! 👍Great to see the mighty XMAXX out for another beating!! 😉I really noticed and appreciated the better audio. I preferred the frame rate and stabilisation of the GoPro but I think they are almost even when it comes to quality. I think with that slomo capabilty, stabilisation and better audio, the GoPro is the one I preferred. I hope this feedback is helpful. Keep up the awesome content!! 👍👊😎

I liked the GoPro footage. Audio was clean and clear and the picture looks very crisp. The phone just feels a little more “raw” to me than the GoPro.

Kevin ... Great entertainment as usual. Honestly I cant tell if the GoPro 9 or your cell phone produced better footage. I noticed that you broke down your XMaxx after getting it wet. I really wonder how many RC enthusiast actually take the time to do that or if they just apply some wd40 and forget about it. I'm new to the hobby and spay my cars down with a garden hose and turn it upside down to dry. No wonder my cars seem to under preform. 😒

I put a MKS HBL550 X5 servo into my X Maxx and it’s awesome!! But I also have a Max5 esc but still stock 8s motor. I really need to try and update my channel and get some videos on it!!
