    Very nice car. Hyundai have definitely delivered a premium product. Being a little tech savvy though, I wish they had opted to allow the navigation map or part of it to be displayed in the digital instrument panel. It's just a software thing and it would be nice to have as in similar digital cockpits from Mercedes/Audi/VW/Peugeot/Renault etc.

    I’m from the U.S. and I’ve subscribed to a couple channels based out of Canada, a couple in Asia, yours is the first channel in Europe that I have subscribed to. Your English is very easy to understand and yet I do enjoy listening to your accent.
    Great content, very in-depth. Obviously I won’t be buying any vehicles engineered for Europe but I do enjoy watching videos like this so keep up the great work.
    Would love it if you could have taken the car out for a spin in your review but either case it was a great watch.
    Even though I’m not specifically interested in the Tucson I certainly love the interior cockpit and the whole exterior design of this latest generation.

      The 2011 Hyundai Sonata has a problem where the engine seizes without warning. The average repair cost is about $5,000 and the average mileage at the time of seizing is around 90,000 miles. A class action lawsuit in 2015 found the 2.4-liter engine to be defective.

    If you buy a Hyundai (especially the Tucson and Santa Fe) be prepared to spend minimum of $175-$500 every month on BS problems you will never experience in a quality car like an Honda. Every other month you will have to replace 1-4 0f 6 to 8 catalytic converters that go out for no reason like clock work one after the other. Your gas line will need replacing, then your gas tank that rotted from the inside for no apparent reason. Your check engine light will be on more than it is off. You'll also notice when you hit a bump your car will wobble when the front wheels leave the ground, your passengers will also notice this and ask you if the car is "safe to drive that way"?. When you finally replace head gasket, then the entire engine and decide you've had enough, and sell it for next to nothing, you'll buy yourself an Acura and realize that it never needs maintenance, that it isn't normal to be without your car every other month because it's in the shop again, and you'll swear like I did to NEVER buy another Hyundai again!!!

In terms of the quality both are great, but have in mind that Tiguan is more expensive when speced with similar options. My observation would be that the rear indicators are placed far too low.
    Given that many vehicles are much higher these days than used to be the case, the rear indicators present an issue of not easily....or readily being seen by the vehicle travelling behind......
    This will most certainly be the case at speed.......and when travelling close to the vehicle..
    Given that Brake Lighting has been considerably improved with practically all vehicles now having an additional brake light located at a higher level, (usually at either the base of, or the top of the rear window), for safety sighting purposes, it is hard to fathom why Hyundai have placed such important lights as the rear indicators at such a low level...
    One would have thought this might have been spotted by any number of designers and engineers at the design stage before production commenced.. It most certainly should have been spotted by Senior Managers....
    In this position the rear indicators are also highly susceptible to spray from the rear wheels.......and to getting covered in dirt more readily.
    I would suggest that this is a major design flaw in the Tucson.............where it appears safety has been sacrificed to design...
    I would think this is likely to be changed by Hyundai at the earliest opportunity.....
    In every other respects this is an attractive vehicle, but the rear indicators are it's Achilles Heel.....

    Do you know what is the lowest version at which they provide rear vents (AC vents for rear seats)?
    I am afraid they only provide for Premium Plus, which means buyer has to pay most expensive package to get some basic functionality (people in the back otherwise get second hand air from the front vents, already somewhat used up by front row passengers :)

    What is the difference between mild hybrid and regular hybrid?

    • @crospotter13
      @crospotter13  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      mild hybrid is very similar to classic petrol car, it has 48-volt system that helps the engine. For example when you are driving and you release the throttle electric system will step in and you will be "sailing" based on the power of electric system but only for few seconds. On the other hand with hybrids you can take off in electric mode purely on electric power.
      Take a look at my POV drive of this car to see it in action: th-cam.com/video/x9FvHmq2N_0/w-d-xo.html

      Mild hybrid is just an advanced start-stop system. Regular hybrid recuperated much more energy and can actually move the car.

It seems that in hyndai they create new car from scratch. I dont like it personaly. It has to many lines. It's complicated for me for now. Interior is better than exterior by the way.

    • @sic22l
      @sic22l 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crospotter13 Mild hybrid doesn't really help at speed, it doesn't charge much at steady speed plus rolling/wind resistance is too high to shut the engine off (you need 40hp just to overcome air resistance at 120km/h , mild hybrid generator has way less). Even the full on Tucson hybrid uses around 9l/100km on the highway.

    If you buy a Hyundai (especially the Tucsan and Santa Fe) be prepared to spend minimum of $175-$500 every month on BS problems you will never experience in a quality car like an Honda. Every other month you will have to replace 1 0f 6 to 8 catalytic converters that go out for no reason like clock work one after the other. Your gas line will need replacing, then your gas tank that rotted from the inside for no apparent reason. Your check engine light will be on more than it is off. When you finally replace the entire engine and decide you've had enough, and sell it for next to nothing, you'll buy yourself an Acura and realize that it never needs maintenance, that it isn't normal to be without your car every other month because it's in the shop again, and you'll swear like I did to NEVER buy another Hyundai again!!!

      One personal experience doesn’t describe the brand as a whole.
      Not dissing Honda or Toyota for that matter - they have their well- known reputation. But Hyundai has definitely gained some traction and is becoming a worthy competitor in the auto-market world.
      Multiple people I know who have owned Hyundai’s or in some cases more than one who have had good to great experiences over many years. Sure they will experience some things that need to be replaced now and then on their vehicles but I’ve heard similar situations with people who have owned Honda’s, Toyota’s..... etc. depending on the parts or as the case may be. Every Vehicle has certain faults but you’re basically making Hyundai sound like a death wish which may have been something you came across in your personal encounter with their vehicles but, again, that doesn’t speak to the brand as whole.
