You're right that sword is insane. I got it from the christmas present mission and I'm only using it now! That damage resists + speed boost is crazy because it stacks with any damage resistance from gems and health drain makes you invinsible. Also it has the highest chi slash damage out of every sword I have tried, it consistenly one shots enemies with a single full charge slash. Activating fury mode makes you Jack the Ripper.

no , i didnt own the gold pack. but MP7 is a sub machine gun right ? If so , then its might be suck since submachine guns in this game are pretty weak , assault rifles are ok.

But if Arm Of Orochi base damage ( without gems is higher than ~80. , then its good to use ) Cause most of the damage dealt from this build is from charged attacks. So DPS is not important for melee build. Fast ranged attacks of Orochi's Arm may come in handy even if damage has been lowered to 33%. You can still kite horde of enemies from afar when in danger , and since it go through enemies ( hitting mutiple targets ) with some lifedrain you can heal yourself up easily.
I was wondering if you've considered Grip of Darkness + Arcane Mastery, it has saved me quite a lot of times and the increased damage the enemies take from all sources is really nice. Doesn't work on bosses but does have a chance on everything else. Also, does critical damage only ever apply if you hit headshots and such? Cause attempting to do that with melee seems a bit complicated.

I've played with some friends with that build , it makes the game so easy i have to ask him to stop spamming Grips sometimes xD.. but that was pre-patch 1.1.3 , i dunno about now though since alot of enemies are having Power Immune on current patch atm when Vanish will still help you on any sitsuations and cost less skill points ( funny how it works on bosses too , they get confused when you go invisible ) about critical shots, it doesnt work like in borderlands which i hope shadow warrior 2 should. It still can happen on body parts , thats why we have critical chance stat. weak spots ( like headshots ) still increase your dmg output, but the game doesnt have a specific identification for it ( still white numbers pop-ups ). I did some testing on normal mobs before. melee would have trouble scoring weakspot hits , thats true , especially on some big bosses and thier weakspot is up high.

true , sometimes it seem our attack went through enemies , there are no way it was a miss , but the game itself refuse to register the attacks. and yeah , swordfights sure feel more intense than gunfights.

There's two different intros in the game. One with a regular katana (Lil Wang or Goldshaft) and one with the Ryukuzen, another sword you can get in the game. They tend to switch it up every time you start the game.
i use dmg for early game , critical chance and damage for late game. Cause the higher lvl you are , the better stat critichance and damage going to be. heres a quick ex: lvl30 - dmg gem +15% => lvl 60 - dmg gem +30% lvl30 - crit chance +10% , crit dmg +100% => lvl60 - crit chance +20% , crit dmg +200% thats a huge increase for critical chance / dmg , they are not 100% accurate but i think you'll get it.
also what are your favorite swords? and which is the best pistol in the game? and does having an element on the sword is better or leaving it without one ?
my fav swords are what i used in the video. my most fav one probably the raw physical one , since i dont have to add elementals to it , i can use that extra slot for even more crits. the dmg is so good i sometimes use it too kill high physical resistance mobs. -- Quick tips: to know which Melee weapons are good , comapre thier damage ( not dps ) , since most of your dmg output are going to be charge attacks. Same goes for the pistols , only picks the one that have highest damage. It would be The Triad ( check out my gunner builds to see how well it do ) You should have atleast 4 different elementals to counter enemies with high physical damage resistance or to exploit thier weakness. A raw physic dmg sword is still useful for those enemies who dont have physical resist buff. - Own a collection of 5 swords , at least 4 elementals , 1 physical and you will be good to go. It might need alot of investments but totally worth it.

Melee is THE way to play this game, IMO. Guns can be fun but swords are the best.

Would Blade of Exile be a good candidate for pure physical and have the Crimswords as electric?
blade of exile has higher base damage than crimswords i think , so yeah it would .

That's a good point. I also just noticed the crimswords have a bonus vs superiors and elites.
the intro on my game had the same feature, but it was different. the Sword transformed as the Dragon was spiraling around it.

Hacker Pro insane 1 isn't that bad true, after that for me personally is a nightmare
may as well do gunplay if all your gonna do is dash/charge atk
Cause the charge attacks do more damage than a casual swing does so doing them often is good for melee dps
