- GoPro footage of some incredible big mountain riding up at Ben Lomond. One of my favourite tracks around - steep, technical and rough. Tyre was falling to pieces on the rear so ended up pushing down the final third. Still a fantastic day out though!

Damn I know that feeling. Had some shitty shopbike tires because there was no proper MTB tires around and got 1/3 of the way down from a rocky fell and I'd blown my tire and my back up tire. Should really go for the heaviest freeride tires for rocky descends like this.

Man the work that has gone into building that. How old is this trail? And how long is the full top to bottom trail?
Been there for as long as I've been alive anyway. It's a walking trail but open access to bikes too. It's 900m descent, I think around 4km or something like that
MTB Gav You ever tried riding the whole thing in one go? Is it consistently negative grade or is there some longer uphill pedals?
Not yet but would be a 20 minute descent at pace I'd reckon. It's basically all downhill with a couple gates to pass through. No pedalling involved at all really except from a few very short bits at the start.
I'll be in Scotland in two weeks and looking for some good trails. I'd need to rent a bike and find a group to ride with, as I am solo on the ride. DH Freeride. This trail looks amazing. Do you have any suggestions on a shop or group to contact?
