I love seeing how you served your dinner for yourself and your boyfriend! My husband and I both eat very differently and it was nice to see how you were able to make one meal work in two different ways.
Thanks for letting me know that you liked that part! That's good to know 😊 And yeah, same. We eat the same meal but often in different ways. I'll make a point of including more moments like this in upcoming videos ❤️ Hope you have a great day!
I am a former preschool teacher in my last teaching position in front of my classroom doors I had Gardenias. I always opened the doors in the morning right before my students would arrive and the fresh morning desert air and the Gardenias always helped made my classrooms smell fresh.
Spring has been wild on the East coast this year! I’ve found myself reaching for my denim jacket every day lately. It’s light & breathable but still protects me from those gusts of wind!
My late Mother loved Gardenias, She would also pick one and float it in a bowl in the house. They smell so good, and it's definitely a smell that brings me back. Love the Happiness project! I write in my Happiness Project journal every day. Thanks for taking us along in your day! 💚🌱
Aw that's such a nice memory. I agree, the scent takes me right back ❤️ And I loved that book too! I like her work a lot. I find she has a lot of very practical and interesting tips. I loved Better Than Before if you're interesting in reading more of her books. It's one of my favs
Year-round farmers markets was such an integral part of growing up that I get so excited when farmers market season begins out here (the mid Atlantic). My neighborhood market opens on Friday and I’m sure I’ve planned my entire week around it. 😂
@@NikkiVegan it was great! The best part about seasonal markets is getting to meet all of the new merchants. This year, we had two new farmers, the post-COVID-19 return of a favorite bakery, and a family selling empanadas (I didn’t get to try them, but they’ll have veggie next week). 💚🌱🥰
Thanks! The recipe will be out tomorrow 😊😊 And yes, white beans would be great in this! Also tofu feta crumbled on top. Let me know what you think when you try it ❤️
Love trying out and learning about perfumes!!! I usually wear a brand called Tauer Fragrances- one considered fresh, and another one considered marine (I have different opinions of what they smell like to me). Bake Off is soooo funny!
Thank you Susie! And yes, I love Lush! The Rose Jam bubble bar is one of my favorites for bubble baths and I think they have a matching body wash and body spray 😊😊
Hi, thank you for all your amazing videos! Would you be willing to share new blood test results for HDL, LDL, glucose, triglycerides, and total cholesterol? I am currently deciding if I should try the vegan diet, vegetarian, keto, low carb, or something else. With all the different opinions out there, it is very difficult to decide which is truly healthiest. The vegan foods are the most appealing to me, but I have a fear that my HDL will get lower, and it's already low. I am also terrified that my triglycerides will get higher while already too high. On top of that, I need to lose a lot of weight.
Another awesome what beautiful Nicole ate in a day video and those sauces look 😋. I have a new blender from the Ninja Kitchen brand so will be making sauces in it and it's also a soup maker and have already made a smoothie in it. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞Nicole.
Just curious...what is Harissa paste? Also, I wish I lived in an area with so many vegan restaurant options like you do. I live in the Canadian prairies which is basically farming country (beef/pork 😞) and even if someone does try to offer vegan stuff it eventually gets abandoned because so many are unwilling to try it. 😞 Very frustrating!
I'm sorry to hear that! That's how it was for me when I first went vegan too. There were way fewer options and most people had no idea what vegan food was so they didn't want to try it. I know how hard that can be so sending you some extra love and a virtual hug! I think it's important just to do your own thing and enjoy the colorful, healthy meals you make at home. Others will eventually see how good the food looks and come around to trying it but it but it might take time! I've found that foods that aren't trying to mimic something else are a good way to win non vegans over. Like if you say "this is a vegan burger," they'll spend the whole time trying to find ways that it's different than a "real burger" but if you make a colorful pasta or salad with a great dressing or a oatmeal with fruit and nut butter and maple syrup....they usually love it. Maybe because it's not threatening to replace their animal products and it's familiar in some way. I try to focus on what the dish HAS not what it doesn't so with the oatmeal, it has bananas and berries and almond butter and cinnamon and some maple syrup drizzled on top....I focus on that and how delicious it is rather than the fact that it doesn't have: dairy. I hope that helps! Just know that you're doing a great thing by choosing to be vegan and it makes difference for the earth and for the animals so it's something to be proud of, even if others don't understand. And I hope my recipes also help to make it fun even though there's not a lot of options in your area. I'm always here if they're a something specific you're craving and can't find her by! Just let me know and I'll send a recipe your way or find some good alternatives for ingredients. Just let me know. I'm more than happy to help 😊
Also this harissa paste has: Water, smoked paprika, olive oil, sea salt, cayenne , sweet paprika, orange juice concentrate, cumin, garlic, coriander, onion, lemon juice concentrate, oregano, turmeric, white pepper. You can find it online or sometimes in the condiment section of the grocery store. Mix it into tahini for sauce like this, or in vegan mayo or plain unsweetened vegan yogurt with some lemon, salt and pepper. I also love to stir it into pasta sauces. Super versatile and flavorful. Hope you enjoy
@@NikkiVegan Thank you for the tips and encouragement, it does help. I've been following you for years so I have collected quite a few recipes of yours that have become favorites! Thanks for all your work and knowledge to help novices like me 😊
Thanks for the rec! I caught the tail end of it a few weeks ago but I'd love to go back during the normal hours because you're right, it looked great 😊😊 Hope you're having a good day!
Harissa powder would be tasty and you could totally use that but you'll want to use less and add more to taste as needed. It won't be exactly the same though because the kind in this tube has other ingredients like orange juice. Either option should be tasty though so use what you have! I hope you enjoy 😊
I did but I moved 😊 Here's the first moving video th-cam.com/video/LGE-PPzvu4Y/w-d-xo.html and there's lots more to catch up one between then and now if you want a little cozy TH-cam video catch up ❤️ Hope you enjoy!
Mmm how interesting….. Nicholas’ favorite style of cupcake you say? Are you thinking what I’m thinking? C’mon Nikki, make magic happen for us all! I know you can do it 🧁 6:22

Omg that sounds wonderful! I would have LOVED that as a kid. How nice!

Ha, I feel you on our spring weather! But it’s such a beautiful time of year.
Agreed! Love seeing everything in bloom 😊😊 I just have no idea how to dress for this weather 😂
@@NikkiVegan As you said, I think layers are the way!
That farro salad looked so good!
It really was! I recreated a recipe for it and I'm sharing it the next video 😊😊 Can't wait for you to try it! Happy Sunday ❤️

I appreciate that you mentioned you like eating more than your partner bc a gal can be hungry and everyone needs to accept that
Haha truth! I eat larger portions than he does daily lol
Nikki, i made your version of a cheesburger bowl shortly after watching this video!! It was so terrific!
I'm so happy to hear that! I love making these bowls and they're so many fun ways to dress them up. Glad you enjoyed it 😊😊 Thanks for letting me know!
