@@Pain_train_wielder That doesn't really make sense. Most final fantasy games are designed to be completely different stories set in a similar universe.
Back in World of Warcraft's glory days (IE: 15 years ago) there was a whistle that dropped in Scarlet Monastery with 5 charges that summons a low level hyena that does a very small amount of damage, and truly a negligible amount once your at the endgame. I mentioned it in guild once, and in the next BWL run everyone was summoning hyenas left and right. Glorious.
I knew about the Coeurl Kitten and Wolf Pup, because you already showed that in the video you mentioned. But Wind-up Estinien and Tonberry is news to me. If the Tonberry didn't look like such a goof when he walks I might have used it and found out.
There's also some of those that have interactions with each other. IIRC the Bartz and Gilgamesh ones have reactions to each other, and a group of musical moogles with dance and plays together.
Interactions I'm aware of: 1) Wind-up Runar will approach the SHB version of Y'shtola and pull out a flower to give to her. 2) Louisoix and Bahamut will re-enact the end of 1.0 battle. 2a) I believe OMG and Wind-up Shinryu also try to fight each other. 2b) Coeurl Kitten and Wolf Pup will also fight. 2c) I believe Sadu and Magnai will also fight. 3) All moogles will join in a circle and float around dancing. And when I say all moogles I mean any moogle minion variant, it doesn't have to be the same one. 4) Not a minion-to-minion interaction, but Wind-up Ultros will "melt" if pet by a female character, and will flee if pet by a male character. 5) Again not minion-to-minion, but I know most slime minions will "melt" if they are poked.
Wind-up Calca and Brina dance. And Ultros will join them. Also, Ghido and the wind-up Exdeath will fight, and the wind-up Sadu and wind-up magnai will fight@@MissLilianae
If you collect 30 wind-up/follow-type minions, you unlock the title “The Mammeteer”. Equipping this will make any wind up minions you own act like they’re alive. They wander, and you can feed them with the handover emote like living minions!!!
@@rivenoak still doesn't provide anything of substantial value, if they helped in fights then maybe i would summon them more. if you lot played maple story, the pets had a use, they could heal you and provide exp bonuses, but in here i guess that is wishful thinking, i mean no offense, just expected more

Stun lock for wind up tomberry uptime. Their move does more damage to stunned targets
Also if you have the kitten or the pup, and you run into someone who has the opposite, the kitten and pup with fight each other when they cross paths
I'm just impressed that the Kitten an the pup have 2 addle animations and an attack animation. Extra care was put into those two.

I think the Minions of Light (Fighter, BLM, WHM & Onion Knight) also do attack animations but I could be mistaken.
I’d have to experiment with them but I believe that it’s their idle animation. Not sure if they use it during combat as well

since the Kain minion has the same skeleton as Estinien, he also attacks in a similar way!

@@Atalas5 Another note for the Calca and Brina minions is that I’ve seen up to four dancing together. Not sure if more can join in.
I believe it is up to six, same for moogles dancing together. And by moogles I mean every different type of moogle minion.@@iambecomegameend2972

The kitty and the pup fight each other if you have someone with the other one near you

I never really bothered to summon a minion. My reasoning was they didn’t do anything
some sit on your shoulder, as lalafell they sit on your head instead :D
