Whether you like Boston Rob or not, it's pretty cool that he found love on that island and it's actually worked out for him. He didn't need that million, cause he already won.

I’m really shocked they’re still together. Happy, but shocked. I guess sometimes it does work out.
It’s funny, though, when you think about it. Survivor isn’t a dating show. Rob and Amber weren’t there to find love; they were there to win a million dollars. Yet they fell in love in a little over a month, kept dating afterwards, and they’re still married 15 years later.
But The Bachelor and the Bachelorette ARE dating shows. The people of those shows ARE looking for love, yet most of those couples don’t last. Maybe the execs should take notes from Survivor!
i think its more about people producers pick, in survivor people are adventurous and mostly smart but in dating show there are usually only dumbasses who cant find anyone in real life and producers pick the worst from these people to have biggest drama. so there is smaller chance that couple of two dumb people will last that long

I think the real difference is that the people on Survivor and also Big Brother (which has had several successful marriages) is that the people spend a lot of time getting to know one another and bonding over shared experiences. Many of the people on the Bachelor are there for fame. They are there promoting themselves. Also one person being shared with lots of people is not building the same kind of long lasting connections the other shows are.
I think people forget the way it really went down at the time. many people thought this was just a strategy to share the money. They both were in a good position to win and have it all to themselves, Amber originally was just flirting with him to be able to manipulate him. Many people thought Rob showed interest in her also as a strategy to manipulate her. At some point they made a pact without anyone knowing to share the winnings no matter who won. So the big controversy was is it real love or just an arrangement to be millionaires ? It apparently turned out well, you can sometimes be motivated by outside things to fall in love with someone, and you may even think you really are in love. We'll never know. Don't say no one would do this, money can drive people to do anything to get it and many people marry for money but absolutely never admit it. Also don't forget money can make a relationship MUCH easier so it's hard to say if they would be together if they were poor

I've always felt they got screwed on Amazing Race because it was obvious they were going to win, so they had to arrange something to stop them. I remember a meat challenge Rob was in and he was so clever about it persuading the other contestants to quit the challenge. If Rob didn't win by skill, he won by guile.
I found it kinda funny on the amazing race all stars is that all the contestants would always be worried about rob and amber
