Not really, the elderly are often scammed so she's keeping her guard up. She knows that he could have potentially put tracking capabilities on it (such as an airtag) to know where she lives and since she's a "feeble elderly person" target her to rob.

These people will say instead of sending you a package you can be in my next video... As long as you send money to a random paypal, venmo, they say it is for the Juan Gonzalez Foundation for motherless and fatherless kids.
This is what entertainment should be. So much of what we see is divisive, and here we have a team dedicated to bringing people closer together. Its fucking inspiring. If @thatwasepic is ever in Philadelphia area, I'd love to partner with you some how! This type of content just makes me feel good.
This should remind people that life occurs outside of happy prank videos. Some people are just not in a good place for various reasons. Not everyone is in a frame of mind to connect, socialize, or be happy. For many, life is hard. I also like the video of Steve S giving $500 to a single mom waitress who could go home early because of the gift. Keep doing good things with your money. You are blessing people big time.
Man I love this. I know some people say things like “don’t record yourself doing nice things” and “acts of kindness aren’t done for fame” and blah blah blah but we live in a world where we need to spread love and happiness and man I would be lying if I said this didn’t make me feel so much joy.

Yk I used to see a lot of people saying that filming yourself doing good deeds makes it less genuine but when I was a kid, I was really shy and very hesitant to be around people I was unfamiliar with and watched a LOT of youtube. Seeing people do good things without reason (even if they are filming it) made me want to do those things too. Along with seeing social experiments where u might see injustice, it gave me the courage to do what was right and not let fear stop me. I think I've become a kinder person after growing up watching these videos. I've offered to pay for strangers things, I used to carry tissues around with me in school incase I ever saw anyone crying, and I grew writing notes for people like servers, teachers, friends and alike because I saw someone on TH-cam writing them. I think these sorts of videos really inspire the younger generation to do good things if they are able and to not let fear of judgement stop them from stepping up or being kind. Keep up what ur doing 💜

I think it's because some people go through their whole life never having anything nice done for them or maybe they feel they don't deserve it. Paranoia.
I have people come up to me quite often in Arizona asking for stuff or even seeming to give stuff but you never know who to trust nowadays but keeping faith and next time someone comes up to me I'm going to actually try to listen to them instead of having a fight or flight mode.

Well, to be fair, it's extremely unlikely that someone would actually give away a 1000 laptop so it's understandable that people would be weary.
@@danhudson4614 I remember having a friend who saw a Facebook ad for this popup shop for a loungefly discount Disney store. The scammer had recreated every inch of the site to be identical with the exception of the reviews (there were none) and there was something weird with the shopping cart recording your email even if you cancelled an order and would email you that you could still order or that you had five more minutes to claim the items you chose before the items would no longer be saved. My friend bought stuff anyway through PayPal and they got an email receipt not from the website but some Chinese name (in Chinese) with "Chen" at the end's bank account number. Then my friend never got another email about the order shipping and anything and nothing ever arrived to their house. Scammers are getting really good at hiding the scams

This was an extremely nice thing to do. I can also understand thinking it might be a scam. It wouldnt be weird if programs were hidden on the laptop to collect passwords to accounts from a random stranger. Its crazy that you cant always trust kindness at face value

Some of these reactions are so familiar to me. When you've been down for so long it's hard to accept that something is going to happen to you or someone's going to give you something for nothing.
There's a lot of criticism in the comments about the people who were not accepting the gifts, but I've been there and that suspicion is what keeps them alive.

The woman who refused the laptop was actually pretty smart for doing that. People do insert trackers into stuff that belongs to more vulnerable people in order to rob, stalk, assault or kidnap them for human trafficking

It was no accident that the woman asked that Juan give the computer to the man next to her. I think moments like these in life are divinely orchestrated. She had no idea what she was doing but in the end she was exactly where she needed to be. I've learned from this that our reactions to a situation may seem odd to others, and maybe even ourselves, but in the end it was all part of a master plan we are mostly unaware of but very much a part of. Synchronicity. What a beautiful example.

In my opinion she was still doing a good thing in being aware of her surroundings. She made a small comment at the end about being vulnerable, and I think she felt unsafe at that point otherwise she wouldn't have gotten up and I think she made the gesture to bring Ken into the situation. I think you're still right, its cool to see Ken get the Mac when he probably needed it more. She probably didn't need it anyways and she also got to see a good deed being done.
That second lady didn't need a laptop, she needed a hug.
She needed therapy.

In her defense, she has every right to be cautious. Just because people seem nice, doesn't mean their intentions are good. After she said she wasn't interested, I would have just left her alone and picked someone else. She could have been scammed in the past or maybe she or someone else she knew were attacked.
@@mercuryfever392 that's fair I just don't agree with the accusations, say everyone on earth is kind except one person and that person hurts another, we shouldn't pay it forward to the next nice person we find. We are suppose to pay it forward in kind. That's why the world is broken.
She had a chip on her shoulder, but on some level I understand her position. She says "looking for someone vulnerable right?". Meaning, she is fully aware that this is being recorded, and there is some level of moral greyness that comes from being charitable, but recording yourself doing it, and profiting from it.
Ultimately though, she still found herself profited from, but without the expensive laptop. Maybe a lesson there on when to stand by principle and when to not look a gift horse in the mouth.
