- Welcome to my channel, where I share with you the most beautiful and touching songs from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Today I present to you one of my favorites: Evenstar, the song of Arwen and Aragorn.💕
Evenstar is a song that expresses the love and sorrow of Arwen, the elven princess, and Aragorn, the human king. They met in Rivendell, where Arwen’s father Elrond was the lord. They fell in love at first sight, but their love was doomed by fate. Arwen was immortal, while Aragorn was mortal. If she chose to stay with him, she would have to give up her immortality and her family. If she chose to leave him, she would have to endure the pain of separation and loneliness.😢
The song is sung by Isabel Bayrakdarian, a Canadian soprano of Armenian descent. She has a beautiful and angelic voice that suits the elven character perfectly. The lyrics are in Sindarin, one of the elvish languages created by J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of the books. The song is composed by Howard Shore, the genius behind the music of the Lord of the Rings. He created a haunting and melancholic melody that captures the essence of the story.👏
The song is featured in The Two Towers, the second movie of the trilogy. It plays during a flashback scene where Arwen and Aragorn are in Lothlorien, the elven forest where Galadriel, Arwen’s grandmother, lives.
