    Worked like a charm... trickle charged it for a few hours, then jump started the board with a 12v from the smoke alarm, did the cross pin GND+RESET and then transferred to the charger... Nice one brother.. go on my son!

    Excellent video, thank you very much.

    thank you sire! both of my batteries are working again :) tip, you can use a vice to open the cover, just put the opening, on the side of the lipo, over the outer part of the vice and gently open the vice. It will pop open.

      Fritzs hi, Fritz I’m stuck at opening the case. I’m not sure I quite understand how you’re using a vice. Sound like a safer method than using a knife. Do you slide the battery into the vice so that you squeeze the top of the side of the battery?

    Thanks for the video. I’ve got the same problem with 2 batteries. But separating the case is a bit tough. I’m too scared to use a knife in case it slips and I pierce the battery and the possible implications that may bring. So I’m stuck with the top bit off and no way of separating the case

    • @xray364

      Managed to get it open pretty easily in the end. Just used a flat head screw driver to pop the top open.tried using a razor blade was too scared to prick the battery and essentially it destroys the case by using a knife whereas popping it open with a screw driver was easy and can be closed properly again. Can’t reset the battery light though.

      Hi mate glade you got it done it is a bit sketch with a blade but I'm good with a blade so was OK but yes any method of opening it will do once open the repair can commence 🤘

    How did you force feed the battery to get some life in it?
    I have done that with auto batteries that would not take a charge because the "smart charger" can't get a reading. Once I put a little charge into them with jumpers the charger worked fine.

    • @DAN19792
      @DAN19792  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Make a lead up that you can connect it to the charger and charge it in nihm setting for 10 seconds and repeat until it's got enough charge

    Don't really know what I'm doing, but managed to get the initial light with a 9V battery with contact to the same terminals as in the video. Held for about 10 seconds, till the red light came on, then did the reset.

    • @xray364
      @xray364 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      anthony ferrendelli hi Anthony I know you responded 6 months ago but was hoping you might tell me how the 9v battery worked.. did you just touch the positive to positive and negative to negative directly from the battery or did you rig up some sort cabling with alligator clips, because I have the exact same problem.

    • @yesyup3453
      @yesyup3453 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@xray364 9v battery. Alligator clips double ended jumper wire. + to + (red) - to - (black) 20 minutes (for me because my battery was at .02 volts) take off the 9v battery and the phantom 2 battery came back from the dead. I know this post is late but maybe someone can get use out of it.

    Hi there.
    My 2 bateries stopped working after 2 year been in the roof. I applied your method but no luck.
    Is there another way I should try to revive them, please?
    Thanks

    Hi...
    I had three batteries that I forgot for more than one year and it all totally discharged. I opened one and I measured the voltage of cells: all cells tighter is bellow 1V... My question : is it possible I connect charger directly on cells package (bypass intelligent circuit) to try charge it until a minimum voltage and after, reinsert original circuit or is it danger ??? I have just original charger (not an lipo balanced charger) and I very concerned that I can't connect directly DJI charger on cells pack.... I'm concerned that I can create an accident (fire or explosion). Could you help me with any suggestion ?? Thanks a lot.

    • @Brizzio07
      @Brizzio07 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      if i'm not wrong, there are other youtube videos that recommends don't go over 22v by charging it directly to the cell bypassing the intelligent circuit, if you go over you definitely kill the cell

    Hi mte. Paul from australia. What voltage was tye battery you used to jumpstart. How long did u jump it for.. .?
    Thankx for the response.

    • @DAN19792

      Hi mate sorry for late response it's a 2200mah 11.1v lipo and had it plugged for around 5ish mins and just checked and repeated until it would charge normally 👍

    @heclanet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You are a Fking genius! I have a new battery that goes down to 1 volt, I did a bypass and slowly charged it until it had approximately 11v but it did not turn on and I thought I had burned it XD

    Didn't work for me. Lights flashed and did the rotation but wouldn't stay on. Just come on then go right back out. I have two spots that labeled Rst M and Rst. neither make a difference in keeping lights on.

    Man, I have been searching far and wide for some good info on these issues, and besides the obvious so-called fixes that rarely work on truly bad batteries there is 0 info. So just for anyone that cannot fix their batteries with the usual tries shown here (opening and charging directly will show you the next steps), or other places the problems with any dead or not charging batteries are 2-fold. First one of the batteries has gone dead and is triggering the lights to flash or do whatever they do to not allow the batteries to get a charge, second thing is the controller on the electronic board has gone the way of the dinosaurs and stopped CONTROLLING. This mostly gives a completely dead battery. These batteries get hot when charging or using, they are sandwiched together in a 4 pack or so and they transfer heat from one to the other. The batteries are not smart it's the electronic board that is smart until it is not. So, if you have skills open them up and test for shorts on the board, also test each cell for charging, at 4V plus for the Phantoms. The others should be similar. Peace.

    how the hell did you open the damn thing up?

    • @DAN19792
      @DAN19792  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to cut around the seams with a sharp blade don't try going through just work your way round it and take your time once you get through enough plastic it should pop open with a screw driver and to start with use a screw driver to pop the top bit off first 🤘

    • @DAN19792
      @DAN19792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you watched it properly you would see that I used another lipo with a lead and basically forced power into the dead battery if you don't know how to jump start a car then don't mess with lipos there's everything you need to know in the video thanks for the thumbs down 😁👍

    How did you jump charge the battery?

    • @DAN19792
      @DAN19792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Made up some wire's with crocodile clips and xt60 plug then put the charger on nimh/nicad 2amps for 10 seconds then check voltage repeated this unit i had enough voltage for stock charger to work and charge one other thing always watch the batts when jumping and do it near a window or outside if you have that option also leave an oven glove next to you so if the batt fails chuck it out the window or have a bucket with a little sand in the bottom and another full chuck the batt in the first bucket them fill it with full bucket of sand sorry bit long but just had to add a few of my safety bits in as it can be dodgy jumping lipos good luck thanks for watching 👀 🤘

    • @DAN19792
      @DAN19792  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just make sure you in a safe environment before you jump them
