@@jeremyc9593 There’s a difference between being the “same” and being consistent. Breaking Benjamin is on the consistent end. I don’t think their songs sound the same, they’re just each carefully crafted into great songs with the Breaking Benjamin’s vibe attached.

These guys are absolutely incredible! The "long verse, short hook, riff, short verse, long hook" is a signature part of their sound I'd say.

I just wanted to recommend the band Rise Against! They are my first recollection of hearing something and immediately loving it. Their album Appeal to Reason is where I started carving my own taste in music and they're still in my top 3 favorite bands with Tool and Linkin Park.

Breaking Benjamin has always been that band that I go back to every now and again. They never were my favorite, but never lost their touch with me. I listened to Dear Agony over and over growing up and picked up We Are Not Alone a few years ago. I also just recently bought Saturate, and have to say it's my favorite album from them. _Polyamorous_ has such a good riff, but I really enjoy _Phase._
If you like Polyamorous, their acoustic version is very pleasing as well.
Saturate is my fave album, I listen to it from beginning to end every song is so great
This is a solid intro to BB. Diary of Jane, Failure, Breath, and Blow Me Away would be good stops next on the journey. Love what you do man.
Man, I hate sounding like "that guy" but I listened to these guys since the early days when I was in middleschool and got to see them a couple times in concert around 2008 when I actually had a car lol, they're awesome. (Also I like the scally cap)

This band has so many songs that will get stuck in your head. Incredibly talented band overall especially watching them live. I really like his voice. Polyamorous is one of the songs that broke them out, and Diary of Jane put them over the top. Great reaction as always!! 🤘🤙

They've got alot of their older songs redone in a cool unplugged arrangements. Love watching these guys live. I've seen them in a small venue and it was amazing.

Great choice. I’ve always loved the harmonic double tracking on the majority of the lead vocals with BB tracks…he has a beautiful tone but the DT adds an ethereal undertone which the mastering engineer does interesting panning with.
When my dad first heard this song, he said, "Why he no bow?" Needless to say, this song isn't very popular in Japan.

Finally came back around to this one and I FULLY agree. I love the drum sound for Breaking Benjamin.
Yes great song choice! So many awesome breaking ben songs, i feel like blow me away was their biggest hit, and diary of jane was also huge. Or if you want a sad song listen to dear agony, a slower song where you can feel the pain in his voice.

Great video. Love seeing the reaction format in an analytical light. If you want a deeper cut of Breaking Benjamin's, I'd go for Phase. If you're looking for one of their heavier songs, I'd go for Feed the Wolf or Blow Me Away. And if you want to analyze a good vocal performance, look into the acoustic version of Without You.

I'm sure someone has posted this before, but Breaking Benjamin began as a Tool cover band. They also have an excellent studio acoustic cover of stinkfist and many other live ones.

A band's best song is always subjective. Like i think tool's flood is one of their best but most tool fans would probably see that as heresy.
I used to suggest songs i think what you'd like or my fav but never the "best/popular". But now i don't do that as much to make things easier for you.... besides incubus aqueous transmission... because you're a chill surfer dude and so is the lead singer. It's a great smoking song too.... ummm gummy bear song.
'Give me a Sign' has great vocal harmonies and offbeat breaks in the riff
'Diary if Jane' and 'Psycho' have cool riffs
'Tourniquet' has similar intro to 'I will not bow' in the sense that its mellow and hits you in the gut.
I assure you I haven't spoiled anything if you do plan to decompose any of these.
Also 'Ashes of Eden' is a flip from their usual style.
I'd add The Dark of You to that as well, imo it's probably the most different song they've done, and the atmosphere is beautiful
Breaking Benjamin is one of my favorite bands. I'd be interested to hear you decompose something from their last 3 albums where they have 3 guitarists plus the bass, and a new drummer. It's hard for me and my untrained ears to differentiate all the guitar work, but I'd like to hear your take on them. Failure or Never Again would be great!

You can't really go wrong with Breaking Benjamin, no matter what song you choose.
While most reaction channels start with Diary of Jane (mainly as it was pretty much played anywhere and is probably their most well known song) I am glad you started with this one.

Honestly so many songs and bands I could recommend. “Send the Pain Below” and “Red” by Chevelle, “Ich Tu Dir Weh” and “Engel” by Rammstein. Or for an entirely new artist “Get Up Again” by Flaw!
Saw them live twice, once was acoustic but still amplified if that makes sense lol amazing performance and he always gives a shout out to the veterans at every show.
So what I heard is that the vocalist dropped and broke a mic at a gig and the sound dude called him "breaking Benjamin". This is when they changed their name to what we have today.
You should listen to all of Breaking Benjamin’s songs in order! I recommend songs from their debut album Saturate next :)

There's really no bad option with Breaking Benjamin, but I'd recommend the song "Crawl" for a revisit.
Used to see these guys back in 2001/2002 in northeast PA as a 3 piece. Really amazing.
Diary Of Jane has some amazingly impressive drum work.

The way some of us were introduced to Breaking Benjamin was Polyamorous, for those with their ear not so close to the ground it was Diary of Jane and for me it was Skin. That being said, they're all good

I'd love to hear some Three Days Grace, older stuff, before the band fractured.
That would be a joy for sure, I've always had a huge fondness for the demo version of "Drown", has such a dark atmosphere and the drums sound so massive and raw
This is one of their most subdued songs. Maybe try some of their newer stuff like Red Cold River or Tourniquet.
