  • Hi,
    Thanks for tuning in for a new video.
    Today we are making vanilla cookies, with marble fondant, embossed, and embellished with sprinkles.
    We use the Miss Biscuit vanilla cookie recipe:
    www.google.com/search?q=miss+...
    We also use Colour Mill food colouring, Bakels fondant, stamp from 3Dprintallthethings
    Thanks for tuning in

      Hey Naomi, yes it does. Just only use a small amount, just enough to stick them.

    Hi! Did you use the same cutout as you did for the fondant when cutting the cookies?

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Amanda, yes that's correct. I use the Miss Biscuit recipe, which doesn't spread in the oven, so they are usually around the base shape once baked.

    Hi! I’m trying to make paint your own cookies, would the coloring from the water and m&ms show on fondant? Or does that only work with royal icing? Thank you in advance!

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Haysh, yes it should work the same on fondant. I have heard skittles and M&M's both work well.

    Lovely biscuits! I want to make these for an event in a few days.. never done this before! Would they be ok made in advance and then frozen?

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Emma, I recommend making them 2-4 weeks out, then storing in an airtight container or heat sealed them in cello bags. I think the icing would go sticky if it was frozen.

    Hi! Great video! I am new to fondant. Just wanted to clarify is the fondant that you are using called bakels pettinice fondant? or just bakels fondant white - standard? I am confused. Please help

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thank you. Yes pettinice. The ready to roll fondant variety. Soft fondant, is warmed up and used to dip donuts into. You can the firm fondant/pettinice.
      Hope this helps.

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nina,
      I am unsure on this one, sorry. Best to ice 1, weigh the amount of fondant needed and times by 160. Add some spare too. Hope this helps

      @@katematheson thank you ☺ I made about 140 cookies (7 cm diameter) and needed round about 2,5 kilos of fondant. But it was my very first fondant time and I tried to marble it. And I had some full color red and full color blue left over. I wasn't very thrifty or efficient I guess 🙈😅

    Hello! Hoping I’ll still be able to get a reply. I have started making these and pretty on top of most things, I’m just not sure what to say in terms of how long they are good for once sealed? Or if not packed and just open in a box, would you say within a day or 2?
    Thank you in advance!! 💙

    • @katematheson
      @katematheson  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Monique,
      Awesome. If they are put in a bag, then heat sealed, they can stay fresh for at least 1 month. If they are just put oven in a box, I would say 24 hours.
      If in a sealed container, 2-4 weeks but this does depend on your recipe so I would suggest to trial it out. :)
