I recently took possession of a somewhat rare VP-550 and I was worried what my backup options were in case this wonderful little unit ever got damaged or stolen. You clearly showed that the VP-7 could voice out on the specific notes played, in "humanoid" choirs, instead of only auto-harmonizing the way most others seemed to be doing. Bravo and thanks again!
Wow! That is one cool vocal processor! I've been experimenting with some vocoder apps on my iPhone, but nothing beats this really cool vocoder from Roland! Love your demo as well. One can knock out some amazing vocals with this.

No it's not random..there are 3 different sounds in Jazz Scat mode and they are velocity sensitive, so you get the difference by how hard you hit the keys.
Also, I'm totally blind, and I was wondering what the device looks like? Is it portable? I assume it plugs into a keyboard, or is the keyboard built into the device? Anyway I really enjoyed listening to the demo!
if you want to sound like a robot in every mode then buy this vocoder, however if you want a real top of the range vocoder then buy a Roland VP550. Probably the best vocoder ever.
Fortunately, the VP series of vocoder devices covers very nicely for people who aren't primarily singers. Unfortunately, it offers no options to correct your miserable attitude.
