Do not the disbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were a closed-up mass (ratqan), then We opened them out? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
Holy Quran, 21:31
The arabic word ratqan means a closed-up mass. It also means darkness. A dark, closed-up mass is a perfect description of what we know the universe looked like in its earliest moments. The heavens and the Earth were indeed opened out from this mass to produce the universe we see today.
The verse further says that water is the basis of life. This is now an accepted scientific fact. When NASA look for planets that can bear life, they look for water.
The shocking power of this verse is a grand sign for our disbelieving age.
2. The Expansion Of The Universe
Einstein’s equations tell us that the universe is expanding. This discovery surprised everyone.
For decades thereafter, scientists thought the universe exploded out of the Big Bang, and has been slowing down ever since. But they were wrong. The universe’s expansion has recently been speeding up. This mysterious re-expansion is driven by what we call dark energy. About 5 billion years ago, this mysterious anti-gravity began pushing the universe outwards once more.
The Holy Quran describes this perfectly:
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
And We have built the heaven with might and We continue to expand it indeed.
Holy Quran 51:48
This astonishing verse does not just tell us that the universe has expanded. The arabic ‘la-mūsiʿūna’ tells us that the universe is continuing to expand.

I’m 17 and I left islam a 3 months ago after doing my researches.
When you’re born as muslim in a muslim household in a muslim country and you find out that your religion is fake, you face denial depression,anxiety,worthiness even emptiness… everything!!!
But for sure things gets better with time.
One thing i advise you with is DO NOT LET anyone influence you.
You should search for it and think of it, it is your decision to make.

I have met several well-educated people who have taken the time to read the Islamic sources, learn history and science and all have left Islam. Few logical people can justify ancient superstitions as coming from some creator of the universe (if there is such a thing) and the ideas contained within these texts, scientific, moral, ethical, etc.

Islam doesn’t have any of these aspects.
And on top of that. Look at Muslims throughout history. Muslims engaged in debates with people from other faiths. Muslims hade trade with non Muslims. Non Muslims lived in Islamic empires. And this also proves that Islam isn’t a cult. Because no cult would ever want a other person who doesn’t agree with them in their own land or area.
But to go on about the claims you made about Islam being a cult. Where does Islam claim that the outside world is evil? And where does Islam claim that the outside world is trying to convert you to the devil? Could you maybe give me the reasoning behind your claim?
And of course people get upset if someone leaves that which will save them from eternal punishment. It would be strange to just let that person go. When he speaks of 24% of Muslim youth leaving Islam is he speaking about in Western immigrant communities? By my calculations that would mean that in 3 generations there would only be 43.9% of the original Islamic population (not counting descendants of new immigrants) and assuming the 24% rate of apostasy didn’t increase.
The number of Apostates or those close to apostasy is much higher than the declared figures because so many apostates don't want to attract the wrong type of attention. As they feel threatened, and with good reason. Many Muslims are quietly dropping out of Islam, but still going through the motions of pretending to believe in order to stay safe..

Scientific facts that are already in Quran
Expansion of the universe:Theory of expanding universe (Was discovered in the 20th century CE, when we possessed large telescopes to observe galaxies . But is already in Quran
1) Quran: “And it is We who have built the Universe with (Our creative) power and keep expanding it.” (Al Quran 51:47)
This verse clearly states the fact that universe is all created by Allah the Almighty and you can see written in the verse that the universe keeps growing as the time is passing, it is not what is was when it was created so yes, it is constantly changing with the time. And the modern science has now proved this fact that the universe is something really not stagnant, it is expanding and growing with time.
Sun, Moon, Earth, Planets, Stars and all which are all in rotation, mentioned in the Holy QURAN 1400 years ago, discovered recently:
2) “It is He Who created The Night and the Day, And the Sun and the Moon: All (the celestial bodies) Swim along, each in its Rounded course.” [Al-Qur’aan 21:33]
3)Quran: “We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind.” (Al Quran 57:25)
This verse shows us that iron is that one metal which is sent by Allah so clearly it does not belong to this planet.
3. Sky is a protection for us
Quran: “We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they are turning away from Our signs!” (21:32)
The sky protects the earth from the lethal rays of the sun. If the sky did not exist then the sun’s radiation would have killed off all life on earth. It also acts like a blanket wrapped around the earth, to protect it from the freezing cold of space.
4) Skin pain receptors For a long time it was thought that the sense of feeling and pain was dependent on the brain. However, it has been discovered that there are pain receptors present in the skin. Without these pain receptors, a person would not be able to feel pain. We shall send those who reject our revelations to the (hell) fire. When their skins have been burned away, We shall replace them with new ones so that they may continue to feel the pain: God is almighty, all-wise.”[Quran 4:56
5) Fingertips are unique
Quran 75:4- Yes indeed; We are Able to reconstruct his fingertips.
٤ بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ
On Resurrection Day Allah will reconstruct our bodies to the smallest detail even our unique fingerprints.
How could an illiterate man who lived 1400 years ago have known that fingertips have something unique?
6) Atom and nuclei discovery
Quran 6:95 It is Allah Who splits the grains and the nuclei. He brings the living from the dead, and He brings the dead from the living. Such is Allah. So how could you deviate?
Nucleus In Arabic means "Nawat نواة". Its plural nuclei in Arabic is "nawa نَّوَىٰ". So the Quran says that God splits the nucleus. This means that the atom is not the smallest particle.

I can understand how this could be could scary for adult Muslims. Just want to make sure that kids are going to be okay. My dad is Tom a Muslim family and although he doesn’t really subscribe to one religion in particular even he was worried about me being an atheist. I found that if you just told people you promise to always look for truth and care about what’s right, but that you have to do it on your own path, at least a good chunk of them become much more respectful of you being an atheist because it makes them less worried for your future.
