Down here on Mobile Bay, fishermen will anchor a square of plywood (3’ x 3’ is big enough) in the bay, note the spot with GPS, and come back to it the next couple of days to check for tripletails around it. If there aren’t any, they will move it and try again. Eventually, they will get a couple of them. They are among the most delicious fish to be found here.
I have learned so much from your videos! I am in Ohio and have only ocean fished a handful of times, but I have applied things I have learned from your ocean videos to the Great Lakes. Keep doing what you do!
You have a great 😊 on my face you have a great 😊 smile 😃 ii
What the hell? I didn’t make that comment. I would never write something so cheesy that wasn’t funny. That’s messed up.
Nice. And the reflection in your glasses right there at the end 👍
Nice sheepheads, great video
Great video as always. Those were some nice sheep's looked like a lot of fun.
That looks like perfect waters for my little outboard.
Didn't you once do a video on reading your fish finder?
As always, thanks for what you do. You have been very inspirational.
That looks like a fun area to explore. Nice job Elias. 4.5" size shad, that's what's up !
They’ll be really good for weakfish. I crushed the flounder here with them this week. I’d give them a try for more “back bay” stuff with 1/2 oz jigheads.
Those sheepheads look very solid and strong nice fishing congrats.
Thanks for video. Love watching for different fish.
very good captures and excellent video.
Nice fishing i love going after croakers they aren't in the Chesapeake bay loke they were years ago
you nailed'em again. keep it going.
Killer man! Best part no boat traffic!
Ripping drag, it doesn't get better!. On the black river today, they're biting. Thanks for what you do.
Very beautiful place. Liked it a lot a few years ago when I visited.
some very nice fish for the backwater! Liked the camera angle, and congrats on the sales growth, good problem to have!
Those black drum are fighters!
Love my autopilot , that is one of the things you simply can not get any better , that thing is a beast at holding you on to structure. Very durable , capable kayak. If it wasn't for Oregon inlet being very dangerous I would be out in the ocean on mine.
EV, that looks like so much fun!
Love it when we see the bite happens and the rod starts bending.
Excellent job as usual ! That light pole is scaring me, I snapped one last week just casting. An old BPS Woo Davies, fine rod. Fishing the south is tough in the summer, like you I am out by 1030am usually.
That black liked to pull you in the water! Love the back water stuff.
Looks like my kind of fishing. Great session!
Good stuff, as always Elias!
I enjoy watching your style of fishing. I have learned different things about different species that I did not know before. For instance when surf fishing taking abundant amount of different baits to Target the species available. I had always thought that shrimp alone was good enough to catch fish in the surf. Now I know that clams fish heads or chunked fish along with artificial bait with ghost shrimp and sand fleas work really well. I can't wait to catch a giant sheepshead though! It's one of the only species I haven't caught a large one
I've used the fiddler claws alone for blackfish (tautog) fishing in CT
Absolutely love your videos!! ☺️👍🏻
Thanks for teaching us about jigging in the finger lakes for trout/salmon.
Next time you're up there. Can you kindly show and explain about 10 to 15 seconds before the hit if you don't mind please about what type of jigging you're doing? I mark many Lakers but I can't seem to get them to hit. Thanks so much. God bless!!
Dude, I've fished between the park and the power lines since I was a kid. How have I never came across that rock pile? Nice hole. Gotta admit, I'm gonna try to snipe it. 😁😁
Tight lines for sure🎣
Hi Elias, why tie the lure and not use the clips? Just curious
@Elias, did you forget to bait your hook at 4:33? Lol
You guys kill me catching all these delicious fish and just throwing them back.
He mentioned the advisories in that area. Look up PFAS and Cape Fear River.
We do that here in upstate NY.
Then there are more to catch tomorrow. ☺️🐟
Thanks for keeping it real Elias.
Your channel is amazing bro. Please add catch clean and cook
What knot do you tie on those bottom sweepers?
I always chicken out of using my light rods for salt water fishing even though I bring them along, might rethink that strategy lol, great video
Light tackle opens up a lot of opportunities inshore fishing. Makes for a good fight on slot reds, trout, flounder, etc.
Inshore rod and reel with braid and a leader and you'll be fine. Research for the proper set up for the species being targeted. Tight lines
Brother you had a good bite on the sheep head in the rocks. Too bad about the warning on eating the fish from there. Nice day of fishing
triple tail in SW Florida feed on algae on crab pots lines
How do you like that Old Town Auto pilot compared to your Hobie outback?
I love your videos! Do you plan on ever fishing Long Island again? I’m from Long Island and I’d love to see another episode up here!
Love the fishing video's. Thanks Would love to taste all the different kinds of fish you catch. Here in otegon they seem to not care about fish and wildlife. Just charging a lot of money to try and catch fish. And there has been a fish toxin warning for over 40 years in every tributary in oregon for pcbs,
Hey Elias, how do you take care of your trolling motor after being used in saltwater? I mostly fish freshwater and plan to do some saltwater fishing in a few days. My trolling motor isn't rated for saltwater but I was wondering if I could still use it without ruining it.
Give it a good rinse & good to go!
Put it in a bucket of water and run it, if you feel extra with some salt away in it! Works well for me just a little bit of water in a trash can
Man I would love to catching those Sheeps. One heck of fish fry! 🔥
i like you videos and enjoy Elias hi from hermosillo sonora mexico
Great video like seeing you use your Knowledge to catch fish. Can you do a video using live shrimp?
Hey Big E , and anyone who knows, What paddle and what peddle kayaks would you recommend ? Do you need a 12 footer to fish in ocean ? Thanks and tight lines.
(sorry my next comment is definitely a mouthful! I got excited when I saw one of my subscriptions pop up, and then maybe it's because I had too much coffee or something that I can't shut up for more than 2 seconds! LOL)
I got a quick question. I don't value alot of options because I am hard on things and they don't work for me like others lol. So witch reel broke in best out of the slammer 3, 4 and spinfisher 6. Was really asking for spinfisher sakes. I was able to get a slammer a few yrs back when they went on sale for 100 off for Xmas lol. Any thoughts would be appreciated seeing how you are hard on stuff too.
I think the slammer 4 took some of the best parts of the slammer III and the new improvements of the Spinfisher VI to make the best Penn reel to date.
Thanks again for a great video Elias. I feel like we haven’t seen a tog video in a while. Are they still in your area?
December-April only
Elias, I'm curious why you don't catch and cook Redfish. I very seen one video on it and you seemed to like it. They have tons of meat on them. I guess you line black drum better? But is it because reds are not good other than blackened and are a pain in the butt to prepare other ways? Just curious cause you've cooked everything else. Lol
Elias you have a friggin Ninja hookset on Sheepshead. Serious skills brother. You are catching fish that have stole thousands of other people's bait. All the while they think it is a trash fish stealing their bait.
Keep slaying them man! Great catches. How do you like that Penn Slammer 2500 ? How does the Vanford compare besides being lighter?
"Stick with what bites" ... Put that motto on some Elias merch ... Ball-caps w/ dark underside bills & T-shirts ... You're overdue for a Trademark registration, so why not add a logo?
Where are you now, you used to be around wilmington?
Looks like near Fisher
Dude, you have them dialed in!
Are you still near Wilmington-ish?
Elia have you fished Rich inlet behind figure 8 island at all?
What part of the NC coast do you fish . It looks a little like white oak river, but can’t be sure.
What is the knot you’re tiding?
I was just wondering, why do people always pull the claws off of the fiddler crabs? It almost seems to me like fisherman using fiddler crabs think that whatever fish they're targeting is going to be scared of being pinched. I can't see how that would be a problem in the ocean or even inshore there's plenty of worse things out there that could harm them. Also doesn't it make the fiddler crabs look less real? Where did you move from and to? Is that something you could tell us, or do you want that to remain private? I'm really glad you decide to put a video out, I'm caught up on recent videos from everyone I subscribe to, about 25 in all, and I just want to get more information all the time.(more, more, more!) I'm sorry if you have already told us and I wasn't paying attention, also sorry that I haven't finished the video yet. The only reason I'm asking this right away is because if I don't, I'll forget my question. I don't know why I'm like that, maybe I'm getting senile LOL! Continue to do what you're doing I really appreciate it. If there's more questions I might just ask. I'm not afraid to make multiple comments. Hopefully that's all right with you as well. All right brother, good luck, TIGHT LINES ALWAYS, and GOD BLESS!
The claw spins in current easily. You’ll also be much more likely to hook your fish. Drop a fiddler into a fish tank with a tautog/sheepshead and they’ll fight with it before eating it…significantly increasing the chance of knocking it off the hook.
Ok, I really appreciate you answering my question. It actually makes a lot of sense. One more quick question if you can answer I appreciate it if not maybe another one of your subscribers might know the answer. In your description below your video, I noticed that the lures I think and other merchandise said something about only paying a shipping fee, well what I'm trying to figure out is although that sounds great, either you or wherever I'd happen to purchase something, am I going to be Auto shipped and billed like a certain time in the future? I'm really hesitant in buying things online with my credit card number. I'm not putting any blame on you. Obviously I haven't gotten anything yet, I just wanted to ask because I've been burned like that before in the past with several things. That is all! Thanks again, and as always, GOD BLESS!
The fiddlers will also use their claws to grab your line if they can reach it. I know Salt Strong will send you products for only shipping. No strings attached and no auto ship. Hope that helps

Are you still in NC?
Hi.nice vedeo l like see you fishing a ray
Could those be American Crocs?
No, South Florida maybe.
Another interesting trip but the camera angles spoiled it a bit. Thanks.
Logo's & trademarks need not be complicated, and simplicity suits the site. Pick out a type for "E. F.", add a generic fish, and you're good to go. Or, in the interest of domestic tranquility, ask your spouse for input. Keep in mind that the Trademark office has been flooded with applications from Chinese firms trying to beat Amazon algorithms. ( long story ... details in The Times )
Looks like fishing in a barrel
NC?
If you were a true Gen X er... youd eat those convicts
😂😂😂
poosh
What is the knot you’re tying?
