@@IrishMotoringLife I’ll need it. I’m searching out a battery draw. I’m going to set my multi meter to dc and start pulling fuses till she stops. I hope that works.
@@Jenuin have you any aftermarket parts on it? Like alarm etc? I know when my ladt battery started to go if I didn't use the bike everyday it would struggle to start
@@IrishMotoringLife that’s definitely something I’ll be looking for. You never know what the previous owner did. For now I have a kill switch installed so it won’t drain the battery. Electrical issue are the some of the strangest when it’s not something you are familiar with. I hope it’s that easy. =] fingers crossed 🤞
Hey Caset, they are called tank grips. Work really well to grip against your inner thighs on track days, especially if wearing leathers. They're are made by Stomp grips
Hi Ali, I would keep a look out for accident damage mainly, a lot of these were used on track or stunt bikes. Swapped out fairings can be a sure sign. Front brake calipers are prone to sticking but are easy to rebuild, I did mine last year. Make sure the clutch is good and no damage to front forks or leaking seals. They are a very robust bike but many have been abused, high mileage wouldn't worry me once it has been serviced on time. Maybe look for a dealer that can give a 3 or 6 month warranty for peace if mind 💯👍
hey man any lucky finding your bike? I have one that has 30k miles and its just an incredible piece of machiney. im 33 started riding at 20 with an r6. i gotta say my 636 is probably my favorite thus far.
@@Maximumeffects nice! Begining with an r6 must have been cool! I started with a yamaha fazer 600 at 26. Still have it too...love the 636, great midrange for a supersport bike and the looks are pretty timeless for a 16 year old bike!
Nice video. Alot of people who use motul 7100 says that they have problems with their gearbox (metalic noise when changing gears) and they recommend belray. what is your opinion about this and how many km has your bike ?
Thanks Lucian. Hmm that's an interesting one, i have been using Motul for a number of years on both my bikes, daily riding and trackdays and i haven't noticed any noises with the gearbox. I have a full history from when the bike was new and the guy i bought it from used Yamalube. My bike has about 40k kms (25k miles) on it now. I know they use this model for stunt riding a lot so i wouldn't be too worried about the gearbox to be honest. I think hearing noises with the gear changes might be more of an indication of damage already done.
I tried to make the most simple guide for this one, if you have any questions please let me know below!
Thank you. I just got this bike. 💚
Thats great, they are a super bike. Best of luck 🤙

I thought the oil level should be in the middle of the marks?
It should be at the top mark 👍
