I love these swapmeets, I always find something rare or interesting. I recently picked up a bunch of Mini Z bodies for less than $50 a piece, with a few very rare ones in the bunch. Including; Knightrider, Lancia Delta, Lancia Stratos, Porsche 935, Porsche 906, Porsche 962, etc.

Ooooh!! The F103GT chassis with Toyota shell, niiiice! I've got one, chassis is nice n easy to build, but the shell....Ohhh!! Boy, that'll make you want to cry! Trying to cut all the parts out for that - paint and secure em, been over a year with me & still cutting the darn thing out lol, at some point I'll be racing mine at my local club, along with my TC-01 with the Formula-E body :)
The controller with the LaTrax is interesting to use, if you get it to work it really is an experience from the very early days of rc. You can even find mod kit for it that has a trigger finger from a Parma slot car controller
That TLR 22T is lethal. The latest hype doesn't win races.. The constant evolution of Major brands cars is the only way they can keep the business going. TLR 22T, 22T 2.0..on & on it go's, you can dominate your local track if you practice practice practice and tweak your ride as you go
im not big on planes but i did notice that giant twin cylinder engine sitting on the table above those first cars you saw. was really hoping to get a closer look. it was the same size as that 1/8th scale truggy.
i was always a buggy MT truck guy too. but i got my hands on a trainer rc plane recently and it just feels unbelievably cool to take to the clouds the SKY is your playground!! If everyone gave rc flight a try it would be a national obsession. kinda like fighting with strangers about rights and equally they already have Is now.
My first swap meet, it was all drag racing stuff. At the time I didn't know much about it. After getting there, I found they had rc boats, planes, cars, nitro, and electric. Those folks were super cool 👍 You never know what you'll find till you look 😁

There used to have a hobby show in Westchester NY called the wram show they had anything you can think of then the AMA took it over and moved it to NJ and now it absolutely sucks they have nothing
Damn I had to sell mine when my mom passed and haven't been able to afford one since then. That's awesome tho! Hoping I can get back into rc hobby sooner or later

I have a couple air transmitters I can give you . A 9 channel and a 6 channel both with extra receivers. A couple of years old but still work perfectly. LMK.
fun fact: the high school which you were at is the biggest high school in texas. they have a pizza hut, subway and other restaurants there in the cafeteria
