Well, I have goosebumps aplenty, and my goosebumps all have a whole family of goosebumps themselves. Haunting, mesmerizing, chilling, wonderful, stellar, brilliant performance.
They do, and have done, such a lot of practice :-) Also, I saw a video where one of them (I think it was Blake Morgan discussing equal and just temperament) said they spend maybe 70-80% of their rehearsal time talking about tuning.
@@LurkingMarsupial and a lot of that is also vowel placement. So many choirs struggle with intonation because of vowel alignment. Hard to tune anything when you have several different versions of a syllable being pronounced. Everyone has to be on the same page. Wish more vocal groups would place emphasis on this.
I am simply in love with Voces8, both because of the perfection of their artistry and breadth of their repertoire. The contemporary music with its chromaticism somehow plays so well with the early polyphony. ❤️

At 2:42 the perfect B-C# dissonance between the sopranos is captivating. Such impressive intonation!
And it goes on and on for over 15 seconds, almost perfectly tuned!!! Exquisite!
