I use to get my hair straight all the time perms and everything and it was so long and curly then when I went back natural and I didn't know anything about being natural and the process of just letting it grow out I cut all my hair off bald now I'm over here looking at this video bringing me back flash backs😢😢😢

I love the more curly look. I found it to be more stunning. But then again, I have naturally straight hair. Everytime I try to curl my hair, the curls don't stay. Anyway that shine in her hair is BEAUTIFUL!!!

@@mightystrong5484 I'm twenty years old. My mom does my relaxers because it is recommended for someone to do it instead of doing it yourself. I went natural for half of last year and my hair broke off. I guess the saying goes keep your hair trimmed and greased and it won't fall out lol. But I will take the advice start looking for ways to wear natural hair. Oh and thanks for the compliment. And calling me doll😅

I normally wear my hair naturally braid outs, twist outs, most the time its in a bun because I do not like having it in my face and sometimes I like to switch it up and wear it straight just a few times a year,

My cousin tried to staighten my natural hair once it didn't keep well I haven't had it straight since but I love when my beautician has my hair looking shiny and feeling luxurious. I do braid outs and twist out. My hair can finally look right in a bun lol

Hair is beautiful, & so is the young lady. Black women, you're all beautiful, whether you have long, or whatever length your hair is. Hair doesn't make you beautiful. Its what's in your heart. Beauty will shine through, no matter how you look. It's how one carries themselves, & be proud of who you are.
Huh and I'm over here with thin brittle 4b hair that will break off when straightened.
In Need of a break you probably need to cut it all off and start over and see what works for you hair to be healthy
@@achanteamouraa2225 I don't need to cut my hair it's not always the answer. I have naturally low porosity hair that dosnt really hold moisture hence my hair is dry. What would cutting it do? My family has hair on the thinner side too and my head is small so a press would look awkward on me. Anyway not to sound rude but like yeah , no need to cut it .

This is old-school method of drying & styling hair. We also used a straightening comb. We used rollers when there was no blowdryers only hooded hairdryers

A hooded dryer is the only thing that get my hair dry down to the roots. Even when I straighten it myself, I was and blow dry and will let it fully dry overnight and just straighten it next day. If I go to the salon my stylist will blow dry to stretch and sit me under the dryer to get the roots.

Exactly!!!! Plus blow dryers pulls so much moisture out of Our hair it's crazy. It's best to allow the hair to dry naturally that's how you retain the moisture...it's beyond a process, but well worth the moisture retention hence hair retention.

I was one of those people born being able to do hair. I taught myself to braid at age 9 or 10. And I naturally know how to do most styles. But I’ve been to cosmetology school with those that knew nothing and had to learn. We just all need to have a love for making others beautiful

Same here. Once in a while, I straighten my natural hair. Within a couple of hours, it’s all frizzy again and after two days, my hair is almost curly again on moisturising it.

I have genuine questions, why do some of us as black women feel so entitled to another black womans hair? Especially in this age of variety and options? Why is doing what we want to our hair like every other race seem like it's something we're not supposed to do amongst "the community"? What's so hard about celebrating the fact our hair has the ability to handle ANY style we want on any given day? This person's hair that I see some women so quick to police, are not the ones how have to deal with it day to day. This womans hair is beautiful, period, not "beautiful, BUT I PREFER", Not about what you would do or prefer, not your hair. We're too advanced in hair care to keep doing this confinement thing.
