    Beautiful cut! I appreciate that it doesn’t appear bone straight. That means the heat was probably minimal. I could be wrong but, regardless, her hair looked healthy and slayed in the end. 💕 PS, more videos with this hair type/texture 😍

    Wow being determined to have longer hair by going natural and following all the natural TH-camrs who don't have a license or anything into begin with is hard. More so when you go into a salon and automatically think your hair is nice and natural, but it turns out to be uneven. So looking at the length you could of been versus what is left after a cut is heart breaking. After a while, it's good to realize it was for the better, but don't wait years of being a natural and just expect your hair to be healthy guys. This was eye opening and now I get what many hair stylist mean by being natural doesn't mean your hair is in it's perfect state, so there is more to that. I love how more kinky textured hair can come out so nice and straight in these videos.

      Don't 100% agree. I don't think even hair means healthy hair. When I get my split ends trims. I specifically ask for my split ends only. Not to even out my hair and not to cut. I don't wear my hair straight often and when I do. My hair doesn't need to be a 100% even when straightened.
      Most black stylist are concerned about the finish product looking clean. They will cut your hair down to the shortest area. I worked at a salon catering to mostly a white clientele. And evening the hair was not the goal. Especially when the client wanted to retain length. But, the overall health of the hair was the goal.
      I wish more black stylist will understand that. There is an obsession with cutting for the finish product to look a certain way. They'll keep black women bald. That's why I'm detailed with any salon trip.
      I take care of my hair at home and get trims when needed. So, when a stylist starts yelling. "I don't understand what's going on with your ends" and start talking about cutting. NEXT!

    • @linkin5961
      @linkin5961 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      But, to your point. This lady was just overdue for a trim. Your hair will give you signs when one is needed.

    • @AlciesWorld
      @AlciesWorld 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hair doesn’t grow out of ur head even, that’s absurd to assume that evenness equals health. The back of some people hair is shorter than the front naturally....so they gotta cut off the front the match the back? Strange. Cut off the spilt/damaged ends and keep it pushing. Ur hair doesn’t have to be even. Because she wasn’t cutting the front as much as the back and the front needed to be cut as well? But to make it look good she did it that way. 🤷🏽‍♀️ the salon might be licensed but I can’t count on two hands how many times licensed people have damaged my hair, it’s too much to fit.

    Good afternoon I can't believe how gorgeous that young ladies hair came out, you did a great job. I'm a white hair dresser with very little experience in styling and caring for black woman's hair, my girlfriend who is black is after me to learn, so I have been watching all kinds of hair videos. My question to you is I noticed you don't use any styling products in the hair like white woman would use, I would have to put in like setting spray, or mousse, or gel to get a nice curl. I also noticed you just used water to set, plus no hair spray either. My girl friends hair is almost the same texture is this young woman's hair is, so this video helped me out a lot. Again great work, keep it up. Also looking forward to your response to my question. Thank you again.

    The ends don't affect hair follicles, but if you split ends aren't trimmed it will affect your growth, because your ends will split further up, which will cause one to have to get their hair cut shorter until those damaged ends are gone - hence affecting one growth. Blessings!!! 🙏❤🙏

    I just discovered your channel! Amazing work!!!
    Q: I want to do more rollersets on my natural fine 3c/4a hair, but I experience breakage as it dries when I do them. Is this normal? How can I prevent it?

    You did such a lovely job on her hair especially with that much needed trim!...what is the name of the item that you putted through the rollers to keep them in place ? And where can I purchase them from ?

      They are just called pins. You can purchase both the rollers and pins from amazon.

    I see you start flat ironing at the ends. Imma try that.

    doesn't forcing the comb through the hair at the ends when it is knotted cause breakage as well? do you use seamless combs?

    What is the best hair product for 4C type hair during shampoo conditioning moisturizing and detangling. I have not used the heat on my hair such as flat iron for over 1 year. What are best hair routines Styles or methods I should use consistently help grow out my hair?

    What product was used to protect the hair from the heat of the flatiron? Why are you using the flatiron on the ends with each stroke? To much heat on the ends causes major damage.
