Nicely done review & that looks like quite the tool! I wonder what the largest chisel size is for that hammer & if it could be used to split wood logs in a pinch?
I took a quick look on Amazon and the widest one I could find there was 4.5" and the longest one was 18". I had never thought of splitting a log, but you can bet that I'll try it now that you've mentioned it!
I'm not sure, but I don't think so. It doesn't mention it here: www.dewalt.com/products/power-tools/rotary-and-demolition-hammers/rotary-hammers/20v-max-xr-brushless-118-lshape-sds-plus-rotary-hammer-kit-w60ah/dch293r2
ToolMetrix so odd because I ordered this off of Home Depot but it comes with two flex volt batteries and I don’t wanna ruin the drill if I am not supposed to use it with flex volt. I’ve noticed it says DCH293x2 and this one says DCH293XR Wonder if that makes the difference on to what batteries to use. Thanks for the response! Hi Orlando, if it came with Flexvolt batteries, and it is a different model, I'd say that it probably supports them. You could contact DeWalt if you have concerns, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it with those batteries if they were in the same box.
Yes.. i use a 9ah in mine with an 8in auger and sds adapter, to drill holes for wooden fence post.. i should make a video.. it's great for installing windows and doors too

Can this tool accept the 3/16ths and the 5/32 sds bits?
This tool uses SDS+ bits.
@@ToolMetrix I would also like to know if this model (DCH293) can accept the smaller 3/16 and 5/32 SDS+ bits
I’m not sure but I thought any SDS+ drill could accept any SDS+ bit.
@@ToolMetrix Yea, I wasn't sure either but thanks for the reply
What are you doing?
