I think people sometimes forget how crazy the chat must be for her, especially with constant subs, memberships, super chats and so many other things going on. You cant simply ignore peoples generosity and you can see she appreciates everything. If you are looking for less chat its simple, just wait for the edited playthrough. It is a livestream after all what you expect. 😂
The behind-the-scenes story about the Piko line is actually really interesting to hear. I love that type of content which lends some insight into the acting, etc. during production.
Now you know how we FFVII fans of the original felt in 1997 about the sense of freedom. Midgar was designed to be claustrophobic and dystopian so leaving it to be greeted with the over-world was so freeing and rewarding. A lot of games are doing that now, but the old PS1 games of FF did that back then and its unforgettable. So to see and feel that experience in Rebirth after spending 40 hours or so in a whole game just for Midgar really recaptures that feeling, and its especially effective due to how beautiful and even more vast everything is now.
"Claustrophobic." That's exactly the word that I have been thinking of in order to describe the difference between Midgar and the open world. I've been stuck on this for the last couple of days, But that's a perfect way to describe it. When we were back in the city, we couldn't go anywhere without being blocked by a pile of junk.
yeah i was blown away once we left midgar, my kid brain was thinking i completed the game then boom world map xD the 4 disks didn't register for me at the time either lol
forreal I was so glad we got a pretty expansive open world to play around in, the areas are absolutely stunning too, I had to 100% complete every area before moving on with the story :D the addition of the lore pages was also pretty nice

The introduction to the world map is just as magical in Rebirth as it was in the original game. I first played FF7 when I was very young, and I remember spending 10 or so hours in Midgar and assumed that would be the entire game. The realization that there was an entire world, with multiple continents outside of Midgar, is a feeling I will never forget.
The build up to the open world of Rebirth is astounding & will never get old! Such a beautifully crafted game with so many fun things to do. So excited to experience this journey on the channel & the little behind the scenes tidbits that follow, Bri!
Aerith is the most smart character of the group in the sense that she knows how to read people very well. For example, the "date" scene with Cloud; she uses that date to have a nice time with Cloud, obviously, but she also does it to explain to him to take advantage of what others don't have, like the friendship he has with Tifa since Aerith never had someone like Tifa, a childhood friend. And then the scene where Cloud and Aerith meet with the group and she says that they have been on a date, in addition to the situation being funny and awkward, serves to “rekindle the flame” that had gone out between Cloud and Tifa the night before. It is also a reference to the part in the train graveyard, in Remake, where Tifa is afraid to enter and Aerith makes her jealous by grabbing Cloud so that she can grab him too and lose that fear. What a great character Aerith is.
At the end of the day, both girls have feelings for Cloud. Aerith also just enjoys Cloud's company. This was shown plenty in Remake as well. It's a reference to Aerith ambushing Cloud as he leaves when she says "waiting". Aerith says "a date, kind of" as a reference to when they reunite in her church. It starts to diminish Cloud & Aerith's own relationship when you only view her actions as meant for Tifa's benefit. Aerith likes Cloud too, and Tifa is her friend. It's as simple as that.

FF7 Intergrade went into PS + few years ago and I just heard how amazing this Remake was now more action based, and so I gave it a shot, and it was your VA of Aerith that I instantly fell in love with and made me a huge fan. She is my fav character in the game, and i dont care what some say im team Cloud/Aerith over Cloud/Tifa all day, everyday. They could not have picked a better VA and watching your streams and seeing your fun, bubbly personality on top of elements of Aerith that clearly are just part of you as a person make watching your streams an absolute blast. Rebirth was a phenomenal game, and you guys def took me on a Rollercoaster of feelings, and I just want to say thank you for being YOU, and being wonderful, and all your hard work. I agree completely that leaving Kalm gave the Breath of the Wild opening vibes. Also your description of the feeling while over looking the Great Plateau in that games opening was spot on. The "cursed line" story reminded me so much of when I turned on the alternative audio tracks for _The Two Towers._ Sean Astin spent what felt like 10 minutes ranting about how he recorded take after take of the phrase _"lembas_ bread" (he probably felt that the recording session took forever!). So there's more than a little of that when Samwise says, "Oh, look! _More lembas_ bread." I'm not complaining, btw, I think it's important for people to understand that acting is a tough job and sometimes things aren't fun in the recording booth. So if you ever get a chance to meet Sean or Elijah, I feel like they'll get a real kick out of your cursed line story. And bonus, the cursed line was towards the beginning of the game, so you can enjoy the rest of the game without having to think about it! Woohoo! I have a similar story. I was auditioning (violin) with a bunch of other students in applying to a music history master class, and I screwed up the same measure twice when we recorded the demo tape. I asked my teacher if we could rerecord it, but she wouldn't let me; she sent the tape, warts and all. So I totally understand how it feels when an actor only gets one or two takes in a recording session because the publisher only paid for that length of time in the booth, and I make it a point never to blame the performers for a bad dub that no one wanted to pay for.
Back seat gaming is why I shout at my computer screen or watch the streams later. Lol I never type it into chat because I want the streamer to be immersed - I mean, I didn’t have help lol. Seriously, it’s part of the fun for me to watch streamers succeed, struggle, and grow. Your commentary in particular is why I show up.
First: You are amazing as Aerith. You'll be remembered for this decades to come. Secong: Aerith's just so wholesome. She clearly asked him to go to the tower so she could get him alone, just to remind him to not take Tifa for granted. She probably heard them outside their room during the night and noticed how upset Tifa was. And of course, Aerith knew Cloud was to blame, because obviously he was :P Like, Aerith has her own interest in Cloud, but given that Tifa was the topic she brought up, that's exactly what her intention with the date was. The fans who obsess over which romance is "correct" in an intentionally unresolved love triangle, kind of misses out all the other stuff about how all these characters build and support eachother in different ways. Tifa supports Aerith aswell, like how she came running for Aerith just after she had left Zacks house, she let her go by herself, didn't pry but came running the moment she was out to check on her (and joined in on giving Cloud the death stare without hesitation). The potential romance is litterally the least interesting thing about them and the growth they experience during their journey.
1:48:50 I *love* this little detail in the text if you try to go too fast, because what it's really doing is letting all the NPCs go first and making sure they can get set in their positions for the next little scene without anyone clipping because of the player being somewhere unpredictable (Remake ch2 did the same thing). However, the explanation they give is one that actually fits Cloud's character - being the only trained soldier of the group, it makes sense that he would pull the rearguard duty and protect the others in case someone tries to pursue them. It's the most dangerous spot to be in that moment, and him just running ahead *would* endanger the others. 2:39:10 Idk if you'll see this, but the reason that Orc was suddenly right up close to you is because you used Aero on it. If you read the description of that spell closely, it not only does wind damage, it also pulls enemies towards you.
Awesome Part 2. I am so addicted to this game. Few games have made me shed a tear and there have been several moments in this wonderful game. Keep em coming i'll be here to watch.
2:57:30 😂 I'm sorry if I'm giving minor Spoilers away but knowing that behind the scenes detail. If these scenes were recorded in the same recording session & in order, that explains SO MUCH about an upcoming line from Aerith in this side quest that had me ROLLING, because the line delivery just came off as Aerith going "Oh, I am not going to put up with your BS either now Cloud!". It was kinda outta nowhere but so funny. I think I know why now.😁
You can fill your synergy abillity bars by using regular ATB skills which show a (II) symbol next to it. So regulary switching / using ATB skills on several characters is needed to fill up their synergy bars.
Not only was the Nikolaj reference just amazing, since Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of my all time faves, but I'm also reminded of a story from Curtis "Takahata101" Arnott about when he met Dameon Clarke, the voice of Funimation Cell in Dragon Ball Z, and basically had the same thing happen with his Perfect Cell. Dameon would keep on telling him, "Too British. Not British enough. Too British." The point being, you got J. K. Simmons'd like that movie, Whiplash.
I hope you're very proud of your work Bri, absolutely knocked it out the park. All the cast did an excellent job, but your portrayal of Aerith in Remake and Rebirth is the pick for me. Aerith is a very complex character under the surface that needs a lot of nuance in an actor's performance to get this across, and she'd be such a flat one-dimensional character if portrayed badly. Really think about it, how often do we get to interact with actors while they are playing the game/watching the movie they were in? Its so damn rare. Love that she does this and in this world of AI, we need more of this from other VAs and actors.

One of our greatest artists had that name. Unlike US place names, it's pronounced 'Gainsburra', not 'Gainsburrow' and even has it's own really cool coat of arms with a beautiful helmet and flowers. I guess you could call Aerith 'Old money' ;)
Gonna mimic so many people and be a broken record, but thank you for your role as Aerith. Aerith was mid-tier for me in the original; I didn't hate her, but didn't love her either. But the writing and especially your outstanding performance as her greatly pushed her to the top of my list in the remakes. You give her so much heart, so much soul and sass. You bring out her character that text couldn't fully do justice.
Thank you for providing the warning that Kalm ends rather suddenly... I would have made the same mistake. It's interesting to see how they're keeping up the tension somewhat with Shinra through this section, since in the original it feels like that drops off rather sharply after leaving Midgar and doesn't resume for a while. It'll be really exciting to see all of the various things I'm sure they've added out in the open world. Also, the noise at 1:36:11 is hilarious and not to be missed.

There was always something about Aerith that was just "too sweet" for me. I usually don't gravitate towards these characters, not to say there's anything wrong with them at all, it says more about me. BUT - your performance and this version of Aerith was so good that my cold heart is unequivocally melted! I am staying away from too much of this game and waiting for the PC version, but you've done such a great job - One of my fave characters of all time now, and I can't wait to see where this story goes!
A good comparison to this moment in rebirth is to what I think of when I played Final Fantasy 15 and I was the opposite in the beginning and chapter 2 you go from more linear area only to explore a small part of the world where it opens up to 15 more linear as you head towards the end of the game

I think acrade ward is so you can use spells twice in a row or maybe it be abilities oh and depending what quests you complete in the game it will affect the outcome of your relationship from what I find out in the quest menu you will find the character imagine that's how you build relationship and the synergy abilities you have to use spells and abilities with weapons and you bars will fill up and once you use 5 abilities or spells combined or separate you will be able to use your synergy ability which builds up your realtionship u wanna stick with one character with there pair synergy abilities and complete all partner quests with the girl you wanna flirt with I messed up on this and had to restart the game but your good just stay with one character don't trigger any quests or synergy abilities with the one your not aiming far just a heads up for anyone playing the game not just her so happy seeing you playing the game ❤❤❤❤
You Wanna stick with one person there will be a certain chapter not gonna spoil with a beach and there will be a number of characters you can pick and choice to talk to choice your partner your aiming for and stick with that choice cause you will max out your realtionship there two way Tiffa or Aerith I choice 😉 gonna let you all take a strong hint am on chapter 9 didn't mean to spoil anything just leaving tips you wanna make sure you search the map top to bottom blue chests are weapon chests orange is material to craft or potions or random items and white is money and in different locations on map you will find cache chests which can help you there scattered all across Map it will take you a long time to play this game but fun and enjoys watching you

One of the best scenes that they've at abandoned dockyard when Both Tifa and Aerith in the reaction to get Cloud to rent a chocobo was funny and cute in its own way and the way you looked at him as if dear and him the disagree with their opinion almost feel bad for the poor guy but just a little bit my sincerest apologies put any misspelled words I suffer from mild of dyslexia a big fingers and small keyboards and I'm an idiot 🤤 but that's a story for another day 😅
Still loving this game and only just at the end of Chapter 2 its so massive and in depth its gonna take me months to finish and thats what i like Square have done it again, should get game of the year for sure 😊💜😇👌🕺

1:48:50 I *love* this little detail in the text if you try to go too fast, because what it's really doing is letting all the NPCs go first and making sure they can get set in their positions for the next little scene without anyone clipping because of the player being somewhere unpredictable (Remake ch2 did the same thing). However, the explanation they give is one that actually fits Cloud's character - being the only trained soldier of the group, it makes sense that he would pull the rearguard duty and protect the others in case someone tries to pursue them. It's the most dangerous spot to be in that moment, and him just running ahead *would* endanger the others.
2:39:10 Idk if you'll see this, but the reason that Orc was suddenly right up close to you is because you used Aero on it. If you read the description of that spell closely, it not only does wind damage, it also pulls enemies towards you.

If these scenes were recorded in the same recording session & in order, that explains SO MUCH about an upcoming line from Aerith in this side quest that had me ROLLING, because the line delivery just came off as Aerith going "Oh, I am not going to put up with your BS either now Cloud!". It was kinda outta nowhere but so funny. I think I know why now.😁
You can fill your synergy abillity bars by using regular ATB skills which show a (II) symbol next to it. So regulary switching / using ATB skills on several characters is needed to fill up their synergy bars.

Not only was the Nikolaj reference just amazing, since Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of my all time faves, but I'm also reminded of a story from Curtis "Takahata101" Arnott about when he met Dameon Clarke, the voice of Funimation Cell in Dragon Ball Z, and basically had the same thing happen with his Perfect Cell. Dameon would keep on telling him, "Too British. Not British enough. Too British." The point being, you got J. K. Simmons'd like that movie, Whiplash.
I hope you're very proud of your work Bri, absolutely knocked it out the park. All the cast did an excellent job, but your portrayal of Aerith in Remake and Rebirth is the pick for me. Aerith is a very complex character under the surface that needs a lot of nuance in an actor's performance to get this across, and she'd be such a flat one-dimensional character if portrayed badly. Hopefully a lot more Aerith yet to come from yourself. Thank you and good luck with future projects.

Subbed! This is so much fun! Interesting fact for you (maybe). Gainsborough is a really noble name. It's from eleventh century England and a name steeped in history. One of our greatest artists had that name. Unlike US place names, it's pronounced 'Gainsburra', not 'Gainsburrow' and even has it's own really cool coat of arms with a beautiful helmet and flowers. I guess you could call Aerith 'Old money' ;)

Gonna mimic so many people and be a broken record, but thank you for your role as Aerith. Aerith was mid-tier for me in the original; I didn't hate her, but didn't love her either. But the writing and especially your outstanding performance as her greatly pushed her to the top of my list in the remakes. You give her so much heart, so much soul and sass. You bring out her character that text couldn't fully do justice.
Thank you for providing the warning that Kalm ends rather suddenly... I would have made the same mistake. It's interesting to see how they're keeping up the tension somewhat with Shinra through this section, since in the original it feels like that drops off rather sharply after leaving Midgar and doesn't resume for a while. It'll be really exciting to see all of the various things I'm sure they've added out in the open world.
Also, the noise at 1:36:11 is hilarious and not to be missed.
One thing i really love about this game is just how big the open world actually is

There was always something about Aerith that was just "too sweet" for me. I usually don't gravitate towards these characters, not to say there's anything wrong with them at all, it says more about me. BUT - your performance and this version of Aerith was so good that my cold heart is unequivocally melted! I am staying away from too much of this game and waiting for the PC version, but you've done such a great job - One of my fave characters of all time now, and I can't wait to see where this story goes!

I think acrade ward is so you can use spells twice in a row or maybe it be abilities oh and depending what quests you complete in the game it will affect the outcome of your relationship from what I find out in the quest menu you will find the character imagine that's how you build relationship and the synergy abilities you have to use spells and abilities with weapons and you bars will fill up and once you use 5 abilities or spells combined or separate you will be able to use your synergy ability which builds up your realtionship u wanna stick with one character with there pair synergy abilities and complete all partner quests with the girl you wanna flirt with I messed up on this and had to restart the game but your good just stay with one character don't trigger any quests or synergy abilities with the one your not aiming far just a heads up for anyone playing the game not just her so happy seeing you playing the game ❤❤❤❤
You Wanna stick with one person there will be a certain chapter not gonna spoil with a beach and there will be a number of characters you can pick and choice to talk to choice your partner your aiming for and stick with that choice cause you will max out your realtionship there two way Tiffa or Aerith I choice 😉 gonna let you all take a strong hint am on chapter 9 didn't mean to spoil anything just leaving tips you wanna make sure you search the map top to bottom blue chests are weapon chests orange is material to craft or potions or random items and white is money and in different locations on map you will find cache chests which can help you there scattered all across Map it will take you a long time to play this game but fun and enjoys watching you

One of the best scenes that they've at abandoned dockyard when Both Tifa and Aerith in the reaction to get Cloud to rent a chocobo was funny and cute in its own way and the way you looked at him as if dear and him the disagree with their opinion almost feel bad for the poor guy but just a little bit my sincerest apologies put any misspelled words I suffer from mild of dyslexia a big fingers and small keyboards and I'm an idiot 🤤 but that's a story for another day 😅
