After recently coming back from the annual service and being swapped back onto the regular wheels and tyres, it's great to have the Lusso out once more after the last big trip around Europe in March. Of course things didn't go the way that was intended with travel restrictions so I never managed to chase the snow with it for now, but considering it's a V12 Ferrari, to have done 10,000 miles in a year is quite some going.
However, like any car guy, there's always a question or thought as to what might come next and this space is particularly intriguing. The Ferrari setup of the FF and GTC4Lusso is quite unique, there isn't much else out there that covers the comfort and practicality with this much emotion and dynamic capability and the market in general is shifting towards SUVs. We have the likes of the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and soon even Ferrari's own take in the form of the 'Purosangue' seen in this render by Motor1: www.motor1.com/news/389375/fe...
While there won't be any change imminently, it's always interesting to follow the market and see which direction it heads and whether Ferrari would release a follow up to the 3-door shooting brake format. You are absolutely spot on. SUV's are for people with fifteen children and wives for each day of the week, unless Shmee is not telling us the full truth. He has the G63 why another box? If he does get one we should all show up in the private garage and tell him " Hi I am Shmee welcome back to the channel".

Why does he have to make money? seems like he has more than enough of that already, his constantly buying new flashy expensive cars is to me just beginning to look a little like showing off.
Shmee Loves Cars, so he is basically looking for any car experience he may want.
The mileage, age and remaining warranty, could mean he would get a better deal for it now, then say in 2 years time.

The thing is when he started his channel was full of road tests of "ordinary" cars but now he has so many we don't get to see him drive even the cars he currently has, for instance when was the last content about the GT40 or the McLaren Senna? he seems more interested in filling a garage that in my opinion already has enough cars. I realise that may be a bit controversial but I preferred him when he wasn't constantly getting his latest new toy.

You should consider the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. The reason behind this is because the DBS Superleggera has 5.2 L V12 engine which produces 714hp and which is 34hp more than the Ferrari GTC4lusso and the car is also a 4 seater which could be the next car to your car collection.
The DBS is not a real 4 seater and not has the Ferrari sound and drive style!

The new FERRARI ROMA is amazing or a 812 who'd be najs or to maby get the 812 TDF if it comes out in the near future but you have to have a v12 Ferrari or at least a Ferrari but relly I think you should just keep the gtc4lusso love the channel

I’d say keep it for the foreseeable future. I’ve often used the philosophy “If there’s not a good enough reason to change, then don’t” when it comes to cars. I get it. You’re also looking for content. We can be patient for the next daily to come along. Your content is still valuable.

As a daily driver, there really isn't anything currently available that will replace the Lusso. It simply does not make sense to part with it. Because it is your daily, it is absolutely OK to keep it around for a longer period of time. It should stay until the correct replacement is plain as day. On this occasion, Tim the upgrade itch should be ignored or at least given a good scratch to put it off for some time.
Any video of yours where you bring out the Lusso will be a good video for me. It is by no means the most impressive nor the most expensive in your collection, but somehow it is currently my favourite. It'll be sad though to see the day when it finally leaves, because at the moment, I don't see Ferrari churning out a successor to it.
Shmee, can we have a video where you tell us what you are up to during lockdown, i.e. what games you play.... ect.

Audi RS6, Bentley GT W12, or M8 Gran Coupé would be the only “cool” replacements for the GTC4 I think. Nothing will ever come close to the GTC4, however, unless Ferrari plans on releasing a successor. So my final recommendation is keep the GTC4 until a successor is released.
One I’m not seeing mentioned but a viable replacement is a Gran Turismo. It’s a little bit of a step down but has many features of the GTC4 with the Italian heart, raw soundtrack and actual back seats. Would love to see one of those on the channel!

Porsche Panemera Turbo is probably the closest competitor to the Lusso. A unique badge with heritage, a sporty drive with a serious turn of speed and decent luggage space with the hatchback design, Sport Turismo will give you even more. The only difference being the use of a twin-turbo V8, but it can’t be that bad....
Hey Shmee the perfect replacement is the Aston Martin Vanquish Zegato Shooting Brake. I saw one last year at Goodwood and they are just amazing cars and share a lot of qualities with the Lusso. Although sadly they don't have 4 seats they provide a decent amount of luggage space!

I mean, if I were in that position to have to decide, that's tough. Because that naturally aspirated V12 is truly something very special. It brings a sense of occasion to each drive. That is a very very tough call. I honestly would have to keep the car for some more years. It's a V12 Ferarri and that one has special history.

@@semv2801 He doesnt own one yet but he has ordered his car last year at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. And he already leaked his spec. Coming hopefully very soon, but BMWs factories had to be closed which is why the car hasn't been delivered yet.

The infotainment/navigation is very outdated, but the car sounds similarly good to your Ferrari, and its transmission is quicker/sharper than the regular Vanquish you used to have. They've also depreciated already now, so you can get one more affordably than you could have a few years ago, and it'll always be a very rare and special car. I can't say it's better than the GTC4Lusso, but it's also an awesome car, a natually aspirated V12, and very rare.

The Ferrari lusso is a beast but if you wanna trade it I recommend my favorite car the Porsche 918 spider

Since the Lusso is used pretty much as a daily driver, the 918 ain't gonna be the car of choice.. Since most of em r gonna be at the end of their warranty period by now, it's gonna be a proposition which is quite risky, especially lookin at it from the daily usability point of view.

I genuinely think the lusso is the only formfactor of that type. The Aston is the next best, but nothing rivals the emotion. I'm no ferrari fan, but they really nailed the lusso. Awesome content shmee!!
The Bentley continental has awesome luggage capacity and fits 4 people super comfortably. It looks awesome and drives so well with that pdk, I think if you found a really good spec car you’d absolutely love it, it has way more sense of occasion then the previous one.
Buy Mr. JWW's F12 TDF..... it will be the best step up from the GTC4Lusso.

This format, I absolutely love my self is only truly represented by the 140i and the GTC4Lusso. So there's really nothing to go up to. C63 wagon, perhaps Rentec or Brabus treated, or the Alpina B5 wagon are definetly interesting propositions. Both would make a great additions and are higly customizable.

Nothing beats a v12 ferrari. An alternative is really hard to choose. Maybe the Aston Martin Zagato Shooting Brake or a DB11. The gct4 lusso is such a perfect car though

If you have to replace it with a Ferrari .. go to Super GT way, 812 GTS. It looks better than a regular 812 and is amazing.. if you need to replace it with another V12, the AM Superlegerra, it’s so underrated and one hell of a car! .. and wait to see what the Aventdors replacement may eventually be

My Peugeot 106 diesel is definitely upgradable...
Asking for a replacement (daily) is a tricky one. I would say 812, DBS (because not many youtubers have Astons), or maybe a new Continental GT. But those aren’t as practical. If you want a daily I’d say something like a Panamera Sport Turismo, AM DBX, AMG GT63, RS6 Avante, URUS... so idk. Update: I wrote my comment at the beginning of the video and he basically mentioned all the cars I mentioned 😂

How about a Taycan Turbo(s)? Don’t see many around and they look mega! London is probably one of the few places with good enough charging infrastructure to get the full potential out of the battery system too
The electric range doesn’t make it a great daily but it would be an interesting Shmeemobile
