Please don't listen to people that say bad things about your house or land. You are brave enough to live your dream. I actually live my dream watching your channel. I have always wanted to move to alaska. It hasn't worked out yet. I can still dream. You are doing marvelous. I admire you.❤
Thats a brilliant trellis you made. I get the most wonderful inspiration when I have time to watch your channel. I love it and thank you for sharing with us.
Love that simple rudimentary method of twining up the vegetables with rope and just whatever wood is found. I used to love to take wood around here and make fencing all around with posts of wood that are all different shapes and sizes. I wish we could have a garden here, but we have so many animals just adore your garden. That’s the only thing I would love to have.
Love the wilderness the mountains . I could never give up my grandsons being around them , too short, going to see them, and playing sports is so special.
Garden & property are looking great!!! The upcoming circle garden will be fabulous!!! Glad your friend was there to lend a hand, hard being separated by miles but true friendships last forever❤
Don’t ever let negative people bring you down. Some are late bloomers and get more creative and harder workers at 50+. What you’ve accomplished thus far is amazing and do as you are motivated. It’s your labor and your money. Building a new house today isn’t cost effective and everything is triple what it cost forty-fifty years ago. Or more?
I just started watching you,I'm watching from the beginning of ur videos. I think you are awesome to move away from all of Denver and the rushing, etc. Glad you took that plunge,u are a survival and will make it. I too took the plunge from a big city to a rural area to have horses, steers and chickens. Raised 4 kids, which r all grown up,my husband passed 11 years ago,and no more man in my life. I stayed on this 4.5 acres. I'm like u, it may not be a remote area but it's home. I'm an herbalist now,so helping people is what I do. Anyways wanted to reach out to you,and congrats on your journey!
Your yard and area around the cabin is looking so good Alone. I love the garden circle idea. I just can't wait to see the up coming projects. I'm so happy for you. You deserve the best.
Nice to get things done. We have had rain and more rain this summer, not really summer at all. I am impressed of your kitchen garden and that you were able to grow peppers. And a great idea of your beautiful flower garden, roundabout! I have also had many projects going this summer, cutting down is also my world.. And you are right, mosquitos and flies, and especially horseflys. I have a wet area in my garden, and it is close to the cow field.. It gets better when I cut down tha grass and weed in that area. And, I have finally gotten my little greenhouse/sheshed/gardenroom. This year I have tomatoes. The other plants has drowned.. I have a little short video of me sitting in the greenhouse, if you are interested. 🌸 Enjoy the summer and your friend, I am back to work on tuesday, after a nice long month of staycation! 🙂
I love the progress, your an amazing person , planning for the future on this magnificent property, I love watching your show at night, I live in Australia Queensland Townsville and to see the wilderness and wildlife just amazing, loved your garden and all your ideas, keep going .from Australia 😊
Get yourself a couple of goats to eat the grass.. Great garden , great video, but remember your doing a outstanding job on your homestead,... Alone is hard........
With all your property & trees you could build off grid Tiny Homes. Like one for just business & business equipment, one for just a library (books, music, movies & videos & photographs), another one as your own little store for stockpiling canned goods, water, dehydrated foods. Would be so cool! Like your own little town.
Good afternoon Annie , Great video this week Love the garden To bad you can't make it twice as big right now.I have say I like setup you're gonna do outside for Roundabout. Love seeing the baby moose and mama's of course, and the bear not Good. Maybe if you leave some fruit out for the big guy, he might watch over the place a little more and keep the bears away. He likes apples and oranges and sometimes pineapple. Actually he loves pineapple But it's gotta be peeled and cut up. Yeah go out and have a fabulous week.
Everything is looking so wonderful!! You're doing a fantastic job on everything!!❤💙❤ I'm so glad your friend was willing to help, that sure is a blessing. Love love the outtakes!!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hugs to you and Kenai 🤗🤗God Bless you and Kenai
Such a joy watching the progress you are making! Seeing the wildlife is amazing…. You are definitely blessed to have found this dream piece of property….. Hard work pays off that’s for sure….

Very nice she helped you with a few projects. Great to see the moose and bear. Already looking forward to your next video! See you on the next one!
I goodness girl, so much going on. Love the idea of the round garden and th turn around driveway. Glad u got some company and some help. I never tire of seeing the wildlife, I have lived like this since 96 and it’s always exciting seeing a moose or bears in the yard, Take care 🌷🇨🇦
Love your channel…so glad u got a best friend..everyone does need a best friend..true loyal friends are hard to come by..so nurture that friendship , don’t let it slip away..god bless..stay safe..
I live in PA. We have a lot bears here too….black bears. They like my yard. We carry all the time too. Chased one away three days ago. Can’t believe how quick summer has been. It’s been hotter than normal here with barely any rain. Winter will be here soon. ❤️🧡🩷💙💚🦋🦋🦋
Love your videos! I really admire you for your guts in living by yourself in Alaska. You’ve done so much to your place since I started watching you about a year ago. Your friend is a true friend. When you can work together it is always a blessing. Keep up with your videos!
Don't worry Annie. As much as I really want to see Alaska and as hard as its been trying to save money to be able to get there someday, I promise I would never sleep in you bunkhouse umm outhouse LOL
It takes years to shape a property. I’m 7 years in to mine with only hand tools and a mower. And hired out tree removal. You will get there but a tractor would save you back
You're doing great girl! If it wasn't for my husband's job i'd move to alaska too! :) gotta wait til he retires. also that baby moose is so freaking cute. :) Also my best friend and I always help eachother with projects. ;) The other day i did dishes at her house and watched her son while she was doing some other housework. it takes a village to raise a child and to take care of a house. :)
U would B better off with the saw blades, instead of the string. It cuts upto 3" dia & cuts through that grass like hot knife through butter. Cuts Like Butter AR-PRO (2-Set 10" x 3T Steel Brush Blades - 2 Blades, 2 Washers and Adaptor Kit | for Cutter, Trimmer, Weed Eater | Made from Carbon Steel.
You must be able to grow cauliflower and broccoli in really good where you are I just learned something today I didn't know apparently you're supposed to plant your broccoli and cauliflower 8 weeks before your first frost date yeah not in the summer apparently that's why everybody has so much problems with growing broccoli and cauliflower This year is the last year I try to grow sweet peas from now on I am growing Bush beans and Bush peas no more vine stuff cuz I could never grow it
Hi Alone, this is Mike from remote north of Talkeetna, love your videos and wanted to ask what you used for your soil in your garden? Is this all store bought bags or did you have soil delivered? I've got my 12×20 ready to fill and plant probably for next year? My problem is soil transport to my cabin, I'm able to do both just wanted to see what you did? Thanks Mike
Your garden Area is a great idea, do yourself a BIG favor, before fall, add wood chips, sawdust, animal manure, cow, horse, chicken what ever you can get, than till it in and let the winter brake it down. Next spring it will be ready for planting. Summer till every seventh year to kill off weeds, and add more nutrition.
After years sweety it was six years after my partner death and living remote on 98 acres I was getting fat and unhealthy no matter how much work I did. After buying another home on the outline of a small town in Oregon I put my Ranch up for sale I'm down over a hundred pounds and learned stress way down at my older age. But after my 20 year of love of my Ranch it was nice getting to know who I was.

True friends are hard to find these days.
How true as they are 😢
You are telling the truth! 😔🙏🏾
Some good projects completed. Love when friends help out; it goes so much faster. Love the filming of the moose family.
Love that simple rudimentary method of twining up the vegetables with rope and just whatever wood is found. I wish we could have a garden here, but we have so many animals just adore your garden. That’s the only thing I would love to have.
Mosquitoes love tall grass and weeds. Garden looks great.
Circle gardens are wonderful and mine produced tomatoes the size of dinner plates here in the NC Smokies.

Looks like you all got a lot done.Summers about half over then comes the cold ugh.Stay safe and enjoy your company.
If u want to preserve outdoor wood you can use old motor oil! Great for fence posts too.
Doors to the cellar..seal the plywood and cover with metal, metal roofing or shingle the top. It's going to be heavier to lift though.
Your garden looks great. You could have a lawn and less mosquitos. Get a mower.
Wow! The wildlife footage is amazing! Loved this video!

Do you plan on canning food in the future?
Well at least you can eat the leafy carrot tops & beet leaves. Not a complete loss.
