    The best hypnotists aren't the ones who do cheap parlor tricks and openly tell you that they're "master hypnotists", but the ones who leave you not even remotely aware that you were hypnotized. The hypnotic state is a well researched scientific phenomenon analyzed in contexts of cognitive manipulation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychological programming, and social engineering. There is still a state/non-state debate, but new neuropsychological approaches are beginning to end the debate.

    Look at Your hand
    Look at The lines on it
    Look at one spot
    *pinch wrist*
    As your hand moves toward your face your eyes are going to move their focus
    *faster* SLEEP relax close your eyes, go deeper deeper down now, sinking floating drifting
    Relax complety relax *lift one arm* relax completly relax *lifts other arm* this arm can completly relax
    Your doing wonderfully
    Your head is like a bowling ball its getting heavir and heavir
    Your neck will relax completly
    Your spin will relax
    Your gunna feel your head being pull down towards the ground but you wont hurt yourself
    You can feel it getting heavier heavier heavier theres little you can do about that
    Your wide awake feeling refreshdd and relaxed now

    Its likely that someone making these videos could be faking it however its been used as a form of clinical treatment and they all share similar methods based off the works of Milton Erickson who's goal was to help people. There are certain behaviors during hypnosis that they can spot to determine if someone is under or faking it. Its a demonstration so he might not have been actually under but still needed to show what its like.

      @@michaelmcgovern9881 That is not really true. There have been a number of hypnosis crimes over the years. From hypnotizing people to hand over the content of their tills, handing over their wallets, some have actually sexually assaulted women where they couldn't remember. Hypnotists tell people that you can't be made to do anything you wouldn't want to do as a form of getting rapport. But you can absolutely be hypnotized to do pretty much anything. Hell, the KGB and CIA worked on hypnotizing unknowing candidates to do all sorts of things over the years.

    I once read that 2 out of 10 people are more suggestible than others. Hypnotists who use this for show, actually pick those people out of a crowd by doing certain tests beforehand. So they have the ability to spot signs of suggestibility before everything else. They don't pick people at random.

      @miles2309 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The number 2 out of 10 is true, but this is a live demo. I don't think there is that much of a test before. This induction should work on the majority of people you meet.

    • @a_diamond
      @a_diamond 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      People have different styles of communicating, and some people are more flexible than others.. but everyone can be hypnotized.
      The more the way you suggest matches the way someone communicates, the easier they'll slip into a trance..
      You can adjust the way you suggest pretty easily though..

    • @a_diamond
      @a_diamond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustMeAgain00 only for someone who suggests that way.. That's an issue a lot of inexperienced hypnotists have.. they have one way to suggest things (usually the authoritatian "you will do X" type..) but that doesn't work for a lot of people.. for people who are more physical, use descriptions of physical sensations. People who say "I hear you" a lot, use a sound as a trigger, etc.
      Everyone can be hypnotized, but it means that you as a hypnotist may have to move away from your normal way of communicating..

    I agree with you, while I'm not so sure whether it's because of social conformity or not, and I believe no one can hypnotize me either.
    Interesting thing here is that although this guy here is being told "every single muscle, nerve and fiber relaxing now" yet his legs, feet and lower back muscles are helping him keep standing and balanced. In practice this should cause him to collapse to the ground. The brain can never be hypnotized and at the same time in control of all other body functions..

But can the subject's "intimate" knowledge of the hypnotist work against you, given they will have already developed an impression about you that may not be completely positive?

    The question is what it means to be "aware". I've come across a lot of "covert hypnosis" videos now, so I have to assume that one needs to be "extremely aware" to counter a "hypnosis attack". Derren Brown does these things all the time, like in this video (there are many more):
    /watch?v=oC9J6O6soHA#t=215s
    Note that there was *no* induction on that person before (he does an induction on the whole audience only *afterwards*).

    Every culture has used hypnosis in one form or another. Shamanism was the earliest evidence of using hypnosis, where the shaman was referred to as “medicine man” or “healer”. A variety of approaches were used to induce a relaxation or trance state such as drumming, chanting, dancing or pure meditation.

    Yeah. That's what is supposed to happen. If you felt aware of your surroundings and were completely aware while being relaxed, that's good. You aren't supposed to feel asleep. The word "sleep" is a trigger word that brings people into hypnosis because it is easier to say than "relax" because of the syllable count. "Relax" has two syllables while "sleep" has only one...

  • @LunaticReason

    If hypnosis works on social conformity then how does it work on individual cases? Hypnosis requires a rapport + willingness. It functions by bypassing the critical mind. So critical people like yourself aren't suitable candidates. When a person goes into a hypnotherapy they are looking to be hypnotized deep down there is a willingness. In a hypnosis show they will preselect people likely to go under. I can't tell what yours did and why he failed. Also how would you know if you weren't?

    It's looks like sending more msgs than just words of the voice. Can't explain but I guess it's like body language and voice tone and relaxed... Hmmm... Is it important for the hypnotist to be relaxed to hypnotise someone? I notice most, if not all hypnotists 'conscious breathing'... In a concentrated meditative type state always... ?

  • @residue102
    @residue102 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Was the guy pre hypnotized and setup earlier to get hypnotized with that short induction? Could you just walk up to a stranger and use that induction and put them into that sleepy state? Or do you need a longer induction first time and then you can set them under to go in and out quite quickly after that? Does that make sense?

    • @mr.keleton9710
      @mr.keleton9710 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends, if you are a famous hypnotist or have a diploma you can use the authority trigger on them. But if you are a normal person, you have to get the person to "like you" (rapport)

    all other body functions i.e raspiratory, digestion, blood circulation, etc., as well as respond to vocal commands.
    I think those who get hyptotized have to convince themselves first that this is really working and is not under their control.

    theres many videos of people preforming this induction and plus i think the people attending his conferences, paying hundreds of dollars, would be upset if they could not learn or do the same after his course.

    At 7.37 you say mention "hypnotising someone to get out of a tight spot". Could you expand on that? I'm intrigued. What are the applications for impromptu hypnosis in self protection/defense?

      Hypnosis in the end is about communication to change a state of mind. It's not about opinions. If someone feels very anxious and starts to move towards the fight in fight freeze or flight mode, you could steer a person away from violence by interrupting it. There is an annecdote of a guy who started talking about the scallops on a roof and how it reminded him of home during a robbery turning violent.. he got out of it mostly because of the "huh?" reaction the robber had long enough to stop the escalation. If you're looking for a good use for hypnosis though, consider looking towards the medical field. From anxiety control to pain relief.. there is a lot of good it can do there..

    • @a_diamond
      @a_diamond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@macorec4524 if you are worried about angry moms and grades, maybe you should study both your school stuff and hypnosis a bit more.. there are better applications with better reasons to do so.. You're younger than you think, and it won't last.. your mom loves you enough to get on your case.. these are not things to waste... If you are having issues.. talk to her.. without the trance ;)

    you just have to have an open mind. I've hypnotised people that would jump at an opportunity to make it look fake, but -like a reasonable human being- they were willing to let me prove them wrong, and because they had that attitude I did.

    Will it only work with an audiance present , like the victim is "playing along" basically a person who wants to be hypnotised , which i assume is essential.? Does it work better with a person who you are maybe familar with on a person lever , or does it have a greater effect if the victim is expecting a hypnotist persona ..

    • @fotmasta
      @fotmasta 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      EuroHitchTv As a non-professional hypnotist and lifelong skeptic I can tell you from my experience that 1. the audience is not necessary. 2. People often try to play along or help, but it's not needed. 3. The latter- better if subject (not "victim" haha) expects a hypnotist or performer.

    • @eurohitchtv5895
      @eurohitchtv5895 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @fotmasta
      @fotmasta 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      EuroHitchTv Never tried close friends actually. The familiarity gets in the way. It's hard to hypnotize someone when you're giggling out of control.

    is hypnosis help me to sleep when i am getting sleepy but my mind is awake

    • @a_diamond
      @a_diamond 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Physically feeling heavier (like you might when laying down to go to sleep) while your mind stays awake sounds very much like trance to me. How fast did the video seem to go by to you? Then look at the actual length. If you thought it was a lot faster, chances are you were in trance.
      And yes.. you can *definitely* use it to go to sleep more easily. Just allow yourself to drift deeper instead of waking yourself back up and you should fall asleep pretty easily. (It's how everyone falls asleep anytime they fall asleep.. lol)
