I have watched this video many times and always amused and amazed at Anthony's master skills. I was skeptical about the hypnotic, but became totally believing in the hypnotic after watching the video. The audience are old, experienced and successful salesmen who are very determined and have full of tricks to convince people buying whatever they sell. Don't try to fool them! They witnessed their tough fellow easily falling in the hypnotic like a baby! Excellent show!
I too said I couldn’t be hypnotised and when I was I knew what was being being said to me but it seemed as natural to think that the number 7 didn’t exist as if someone asked me my name. I was aware of everyone around me laughing and I thought to myself Why is this so funny, I was just answering what the hypnotist was asking .....great
The arm thing reminds me of the phenomenon that has occurred when a mother sees her child in danger. She becomes so focused on getting the child to safety, that all of her preconceived notions about herself go right out the window, and she then can lift an entire car off the ground. The human mind is an incredible thing.
I did this once and I was aware of everything but I just felt the need to do everything the hypnotist asked me to do..I don't know if it was just the power of suggestion paired with the peer pressure of the crowd watching that made me go along with it but I did go along with it..but it for sure was not this kind of mystical woo-woo that I think some ppl think it is..i still remeber most of everything I did on the stage .
Our minds are like sophisticated computer software and our brain are almost perfect bio interconnected machine .. Great video. I'm always a believer in things that's always been simplicity. But to get yourself to believe something is the challenges within our own self. Fears big or small is the obstacle that stops us. We watch sports entertainment etc and we admire the skill the talent but in reality it's what's being spoken here. It's repeating it over and over to yourself to make it a reality. Bruce Lee is the most prove it works. But it took action to make it reality into his mind to accept it. And he proved it works. Linktw0 there are lots of things you can do. Research hypnosis. Watch everything you can. Absorb a broad range of material. Once you've watched a lot of hypnosis, read hypnotherapy by elman. Read reality is plastic by Jacquin. Look up Milton Erickson. Look up James Tripp on TH-cam. And just try it, on someone. When you know the basics try and hypnotise someone.
People like to think they are in control of their body so this seems impossible to some. But it's not. It's not acting or playing along, the guy really tries to move his hand but can't. When this works, it's real because it's the subconscious mind which controls your body on a deep level and if you can get to that level, this becomes possible. Now will this work for you depends how easy it is to get past the critical mind to subconscious and here people are very different, some are easy, some are hard. But if you can get past the critical mind, this will work on everybody.

Sure! They just need to either read the suggestions by touching the hypnotist’s hands or to be brought halfway out to open their eyes and see the suggestion. It would require more pre-hypnotic prep, though, for the sleep cues.

I kind of lost interest in hypnosis after learning that it heavily relies on social pressure, and more so imagining that these things are really happening. I don’t dislike it though, it is fascinating
ceres101 We had a famous hypnotist from my country visit out medical school back when I was in it. It was a sort of half-joking lecture on the medical and scientific background of hypnotizing during what we called a "brain science week". The hypnotist didn't plan on demonstrating anything originally, but we (students) made him do it anyway. Suffice to say, he made a fool out of himself and hasn't managed to hypnotize any of the 20+ volunteers, coming up with various ridiculous excuses to why anything he did had absolutely no effect on the subject. He didn't pay them up front and told them to fake it, that's why it didn't work. All hypnotists are professional frauds, without exception, anyone who believes otherwise deserves to be made a fool by the frauds. "you have to be smart to be hypnotised" - Taking money from someone just to fake being hypnotized? Well, that does sound like an easy way to earn money, so I guess you're right, it is kinda smart.
Fahd Saeed You can, but you would need to learn how from someone who knows. Hypnosis occurs to most people on a daily basis, but learning to master it is a bit more complex.
You have to be open and let it happen. Your best "efforts" are keeping you from reaching that deep relaxation because you are concentrating too hard to be hypnotized. Just relax and follow the instructions without thought, it will happen.
That's exactly what hypnosis is, an overload of message units that leads you to escape into your primitive mind and subconscious. You could be having abreactions. Everyone can be hypnotized but your "suggestibility" would need to be tested, as we all take in information differently. This person is HIGHLY suggestible and the easiest type to hypnotize. It's fascinating work.

during the laughter part, i actually started laughing and then slept when he said so, head falling and spilling my drink on my keyboard, woke up about 30 min. to 2 hrs later,not sure when had to press the back button a few times in browser. best sleep i had in a long time.
Really interested in the self hypnosis also terrified ... afraid if I put myself under I will NOT be able to come out of it, is there any merit to this fear?
I've heard his state in one of his videos that that is not thing to be worried about. The person would come out of on their own in a relatively short time. The worst thing that would happen is the person would just fall asleep naturally and then just wake up normally later, and no longer hypnotized. I think he was speaking to a high school group when he said it.
jetegtmeier71, To the best of my knowledge, there is no known case of someone being unable to emerge from a self hypnosis session. You are not asleep in self-hypnosis, and are always in control.

Anyone can be hypnotized. The ONLY exception is people with massive brain trauma. People with ADD/ADHD, autistic, children etc can be hypnotized.

ceres101 We had a famous hypnotist from my country visit out medical school back when I was in it. It was a sort of half-joking lecture on the medical and scientific background of hypnotizing during what we called a "brain science week". The hypnotist didn't plan on demonstrating anything originally, but we (students) made him do it anyway. Suffice to say, he made a fool out of himself and hasn't managed to hypnotize any of the 20+ volunteers, coming up with various ridiculous excuses to why anything he did had absolutely no effect on the subject. He didn't pay them up front and told them to fake it, that's why it didn't work. All hypnotists are professional frauds, without exception, anyone who believes otherwise deserves to be made a fool by the frauds.

Fahd Saeed You can, but you would need to learn how from someone who knows. Hypnosis occurs to most people on a daily basis, but learning to master it is a bit more complex.

I'm sure I could be hypnotized, but it hasn't happened yet despite my best efforts with several hypnotists.
You have to be open and let it happen. Your best "efforts" are keeping you from reaching that deep relaxation because you are concentrating too hard to be hypnotized. Just relax and follow the instructions without thought, it will happen.

That's exactly what hypnosis is, an overload of message units that leads you to escape into your primitive mind and subconscious. You could be having abreactions. Everyone can be hypnotized but your "suggestibility" would need to be tested, as we all take in information differently. This person is HIGHLY suggestible and the easiest type to hypnotize. It's fascinating work.

during the laughter part, i actually started laughing and then slept when he said so, head falling and spilling my drink on my keyboard, woke up about 30 min. to 2 hrs later,not sure when had to press the back button a few times in browser. best sleep i had in a long time.

Really interested in the self hypnosis also terrified ... afraid if I put myself under I will NOT be able to come out of it, is there any merit to this fear?
I've heard his state in one of his videos that that is not thing to be worried about. The person would come out of on their own in a relatively short time. The worst thing that would happen is the person would just fall asleep naturally and then just wake up normally later, and no longer hypnotized. I think he was speaking to a high school group when he said it.

jetegtmeier71, To the best of my knowledge, there is no known case of someone being unable to emerge from a self hypnosis session. You are not asleep in self-hypnosis, and are always in control.
