    Great video. I have recently started learning hypnosis from Pardeep Aggarwal. He is just teaching hand techniques like hand struck. I actually want to be a master hypnotist. I am giving a lot of time to me and practice with my wife. I started the journey on 3.5.2021. I want to succeed in this arena. God bless.

    Thank you for this, Erick. It's a pleasure to see a professional share his expertise with the public so generously.
    A few questions:
    1. I've usually seen the Elman-style "mental relaxation" done by counting backwards from 100, saying "Deeper asleep." Your version counts up from 1, with "deeper relaxed." I'm wondering why you prefer this version.
    2. What do you do when a convincer fails--when the client succeeds in opening her eyes, say, or lowering her rigid arm? Or hasn't this ever happened in your experience?
    3. A general question: Have you been hypnotized yourself? If so, what were the circumstances, and what was it like for you? And do you think it's important for hypnotists to experience hypnosis for themselves?
    Thanks again!

    • @HypnotistErick
      @HypnotistErick  7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      1. Counting backwards potentially gives analytical people a target (i.e. "zero"). The phrasing of "deeper..." doesn't even matter. Dave Elman himself just had subjects count without phrasing anything additional.
      2. I wouldn't do a convincer unless I was very sure it was going to work. I've had plenty of feedback from the client that he's following along wonderfully with the process.
      3. A hypnotist that claims they've never been hypnotized is like a dentist that's never had their teeth x-rayed and cleaned. I wouldn't want to work with a person like that.

There is so much to learn I have heard that being hypnotized can help with pain. Well my wife has a really terrible time with her neck hurting and I hate it for her. Could you possibly just give me a little advise on where to really start. Thanks for your time I really enjoyed your video because of how you took your time to explain thank you! This is what I want to see on some videos. I would like to see some real demonstrations of people for anger management, quitting smoking, losing weight, and perhaps using hypnosis to learn a foreign language and remember a lost object. I'd love to see those kinds of demonstrations because I am learning hypnosis alone at home because I'm poor and have no money for hypnosis training. I want to make a You Tube channel called Hacking Hypnosis for people who are poor to learn hypnosis and retool into a new industry so they can earn a income to get them out of poverty. Right now, I live in one of the worst neighborhoods in my city of Tacoma and it truly sucks being poor. I am so poor I can't generally afford hypnosis sessions for myself, but I know the benefits of hypnosis. Anything you can do to help is much appreciated.

    • @HypnotistErick
      @HypnotistErick  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Hi Erick, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge freely. Question: What exactly do you do right in the beginning after the client presses down on your hand, you touch her forehead? Do you push her head to the front? I am doing past life regressions but some analytical clients do not respond to just a script where they start relaxing and visualising. Is the client in theta and will the client be able to answer questions? Thank you so much in advance!

    • @HypnotistErick
      @HypnotistErick  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The hand press induction works great with analytical clients. The Elman induction, here used as a deepener, is designed to move the client into somnambulism which is the ideal of trance for any kind of regression work.

    • @instanttherapy
      @instanttherapy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're making way too much out of something very simple. That's because YOU'RE analytical. You never PUSH their head, you barely touch the base of the skull and gently guide it forward. And past life regression should never be in the hands of an amateur. Past life regression is achieved by utilizing and understanding the third eye and cleansing of the astral body and how both of them are the passageway into a previous life. If you don't understand that then quit doing it. And all shock inductions, which I never recommend, work better after the client was previously hypnotized. It's better to gradually lead them into hypnosis by performing three techniques in a row. Magnetic fingers, magnetic palms, palm to forehead or otherwise called the handshake induction. Check out Anthony Jacquin.

    • @HypnotistErick
      @HypnotistErick  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the finger lifting in this case is just a nonverbal communication from the client. An ideomotor response would be a movement of the finger not initiated consciously.

    Great vid! I've been hypnotizing friends using these techniques and having much success. But one friend seems to respond TOO well, because she goes quickly into trace and she gets very rigid! It's like she's almost in a frozen state. And here's the big problem: it seems she's so deep she doesn't respond well to suggestions.
    When I wake her, she is quite happy, almost euphoric...and she has ZERO memory of what happened in trance. So, it's pretty obvious she's been in trance...way into trance. But what would you suggest in this case to assist the suggestions taking hold in her subconscious?
    Has anyone else had experience with someone being deep in trance, but the suggestions don't take hold very well? Any suggestions?

    I suppose I am a little too late and this was an awesome video for the further steps but I was wondering if there are any inductions which would be quick and make someone who doesn't want to be hypnosed to sleep (without alerting) because my mom hates the thought of it and she words about 10 hours per day + her sleep schedule is very bad I want her to sleep at least the night with a relaxing time. If so could you please help me. Thank you! (I know it's not that good of a question because it can be abused but I cannot get my mom that convicned to do it)

      Hypnosis is a collaborative effort, so there's no point in trying to hypnotize someone with no interest in the process. Maybe she would be open to listening to a hypnosis audio program geared toward better sleep? There are many available. Here's my own: hypguru.com/self-hypnosis-audio-programs/insomnia-hypnosis-for-sleep/

    Hey, i've got few friends that i have mannaged to put into really nice and deep trance and theyve feelt excelent afterwards with good things happening to them throught the suggestions.. My mum wanted to experience it for herself too, and we came to the point where hers whole body was limp and relaxed, ive told her things like every time i say the word sleep youll go even deeper than before, your eyes will shut even harder than the time before.. And we come to the point i tell her to open her eyes and the moment i tell her to sleep( i do use snaping fingers) nothing happends she just wakes up from the trance.. Why is that?

      Do It I wasn’t there, so I don’t have any comments on your technique. Best to ask your Mum about her internal experience for feedback.

    Hi Erik , just curious did you do formal training of hypnosis through Tad James Co. ? its just your script seems identical to what I recently learnt.

    Erick, what would the heart rate, of a client who is under, compare to awake, watching tv say?

    • @HypnotistErick
      @HypnotistErick  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My GUESS is about the same. Passively watching TV creates a trance state.

    You should have let her keep the fit but on.You could have gotten some good readings off it while she was under.

      I don't know anything about FitBits! I was concerned it might vibrate or do something distracting?

      The Fitbit reads your heart rate and your breathing when you workout and when you sleep.I read t a tweet on Twitter that a woman wrote about being hypnotized.Her Fitbit got her monitored her heart rate while under.She was so relaxed her heart rate was really low.

      MrKirbbdogg Interesting point. I use an oxi-pulsimeter with my clients. Also is possible to use a Blood Pressure Monitor to lower or increase the reading during hypnosis.
