    Introducing Flawless Nightly Serum - The serum for people confused by serums! We all know Active ingredients are the key to solving the 2 biggest concerns in skincare today - premature ageing and breakouts. But when it comes to building a routine with confidence, it can be a real struggle. Traditional ‘anti-ageing’ products are so frequently associated with a negative effect on blemish-prone skin, leading to disappointment, distrust and avoidance. And when we asked our Facebook group about retinoids alone, the most effective group of Actives in use, 50% of those who answered experienced Retinoid Struggle. Problems like irritation, dryness and how to use them safely in Summer affected more than half of those experiencing the Struggle. And there was anxiety too around how best to use them and, importantly, how to combine them safely with other ingredients. In clinic, I’d see patients’ relief when I took the guesswork away and prescribed a simple, easy-to-follow routine using the right Actives in the right strength according to their skin’s needs. So I set about formulating my first Amplified Active, using my knowledge of combining cutting-edge ingredients to conquer the commonest scenario I see - adults with breakout-prone skin who are bothered by the signs of premature ageing. I set about amplifying the formula using pumped-up percentages, whilst keeping it gentle and non-scary; and to provide instructions which are clear and precise, so there’s zero guesswork. I can't wait for you guys to try it!

    Hey Dr. Sam, I am very excited about this serum (I already ordered it for my mum!). I do have a question though, would it be inadvisable to use it on alternate nights rather than nightly? (I have Keratosis Pilaris on my chin so I use either Lactic or Salicylic acid on my face every couple of days to keep it even). Can't wait to see what you're coming out with next!

    This is amazing, thank you so much Dr Sam! :)
    Is it safe to use it now during summer months / on a summer vacation (if we properly use the SPF during the day, of course)?
    Thanks in advance. :)

    Wow Dr. Sam I cannot believe this is real. As I was looking at what the ingredients are I was literraly overjoyed. I mean it contains niacinamide, granactive, bakuchiol and azeleic acid. I have all these actives except bakuchiol and I was thinking alot on how I can incorporate these other actives while using my 2% granactive from the ordinary and now I don't need to worry about layering them. I am planning to start using Granactive next week but I'll wait when I receive this. Thank you so much Dr. Sam I have all the Flawless line and I can't live without them expecially the sunscreen! I can't wait to receive mine. Thank you!

    I just ordered this! I’m based in Los Angeles and can’t wait to try it. My question is if my skin gets used or comfortable with this retinol and want to go up a bit what is the good replacement or addition in terms of retinoid strength???

    Dr. Sam, would you follow up with a light moisturizer after the serum? Vanicream lotion is what I have in mind since the serum already has the niacinamide present and so does your moisturizer?

    Hi Dr Sam, just recently purchased your range. Just a question if we have normal skin do we follow up with the moisturiser after the night serum ? Thanks

    I've been using half a pump of nightly serum over flawless moisturiser once a week for 12 weeks now. I'm still finding my skin unbelievably itchy the next day. Anyone have any advice or experienced similar? I don't know whether to persevere or resign myself to the fact that this product just maybe isn't for me. Tia x

    So this nightly serum contains the active "retinoid" ? at what percentage? I see its in the retinoate form and how many ml OR What size is the £39 bottle please? I couldn't see how many mL or size of the product? Thank you P.S. I noticed your skin went quite red when applying this is this just you or is the azalaic acid? I also use Vit C in day and sometimes 5% glycolic acid so assume the acid should be avoided if I were to use this concoction too? Thanks Never used retinoids long enough yet to notice a difference but have used The Ordinary 2% Granactive retinoid that was fine or was considering Medik 8 Retinoates as noticed over the years they seem to have done a lot of chemical and clinical research in product development.Thanks

    Hi Dr. Sam, I have heard azaleac Acid and retinol shouldn’t be used together... but your nightly serum has both these ingredients. I’m guessing they won’t cancel each other out or reduce the effectiveness of retinol? Thank you

    Is this not meant for the neck? I did not see you apply it there.

    Hi Dr Sam,
    Is this designed to eventually be used without Flawless Moisturiser over the top of the serum?

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Flawless Nightly Serum was designed to be a one-stop-shop for Actives. We recommend using with an Active-free moisturiser (Flawless Moisturiser Light coming soon!)

    Should I avoid this if I'm already using Differin and getting on well with it?

      For an existing retinoid user, its a personal choice, depending on your key concerns and how much space your skin permits for other Actives: the addition of the other incredible ingredients means you get great synergistic benefits for uneven skin-tone, breakouts and texture with low-risk for irritation, so using in rotation might be helpful.

    Dr. Sam, you mentioned the Talika gel as being a good eye makeup remover. I went to Alika’s website and there about three eye makeup removers. One is a lash cleanser, another is lash conditioning cleanser, and a third is gentle eye cleanser. Which one were you referring to?

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like the conditioning lash cleanser.

    Dr. Sam,
    Currently I use cleanser, moisturizer then tretinoin cream. With this serum, do you skip your regular tretinoin step?

      Didn’t buy anything, yet.
      Kind of expensive to order from U.S. There are other more affordable skincare products that I can get here ^^

    The Serum seems to be wonderful, just sad she included silicones and phenoxyethanol, the first gives me blackheads and the latter I'm allergic to.

      I'm still learning to understand ingredients. Which ingredient is a silicone? I know dimethicone doesn't agree with me. Luckily I didn't see that in the ingredients.
