Fun Fact: Mega Man 7 was developed in only 3 months and in the Mega Man & Mega Man X Official Complete Works book. One of the devs responded that if they were given at least 1 more month, they could have really polished the game.
I wonder if what we got as Mega Man 7 was going to be Mega Man X at one point. The whole robo police, xx & xy and other things. Note that the beta "white city" in Mega Man X looks a LOT like the intro stage for Mega Man 7 too. I wonder how many parts from the previous version of Mega Man X was used for Mega Man 7. Rockman Corner and on youtube they DID find a unused maverick boss for Mega Man X a actual picture of him in game. Plus a different map/boss select too. Some of the stuff in Mega Man 7 could be considered X like too.

This newer upload looks much better in video quality than the years old one that I would play off and on through out the long, long number of years. The hardest Wily's capsule in the series could be fought in Mega Man 7! Megaman(in a monotone, robotic voice): I am more than a robot! DIE WILY! Brentafloss mocked Megaman 7, too. I liked that game as a kid, though.
It's kind of a whiplash going from MM7 to MM8 after seeing what Megaman says at 1:52:00. And yes, I _do_ know it was all Capcom USA's doing back in the day.

The game wasn't bad, it was just so visually and audibly unappealing
Mega Man X was such a great evolution to the series that 7 looked stale in comparison.
