      Its great to see investors in the continent. Many people will be against it, but truth is that one of the main reasons Africa has remained in extreme poverty for the majority of its population, is for wars that were funded by the west, more specifically USA. Angola where I come from, had a civil war for decades where the government which was supported by the people, had to fight against parties sponsored by the USA and fight against South African forces, if it wasn't for Cuba we would be taken over by real terrorists that consistently massacred every villages and cities they encountered. Maybe this development might not give Africa power over their own resources, but will give its people the means to grow in a more organized and hope filled society. Time will tell.

      China is abusing their resources and funding their child labor. This is concerning to me. However, the influx of wealth will most likely eventually eliminate such abuse, improve the standard of living, and increase Africa’s prowess. So I guess I am unhappy with China’s involvement, and don’t trust them, but am excited and encouraged to see Africa’s gradual rise out of poverty.

    It is very difficult to stop laughing at the West's newfound concern for Africa's economic interest while trading with China. The European countries and North America have had centuries to show us just how much they care about Africa's economic and human rights. We can refresh their memories by comparing records of what China and the West have each done in Africa in the last 400 years or any period of time.

      3/ Population growth rate is still much higher in Asia.

Also oil, gas, sunlight. The list goes on and on. No other country in the world can compare.
    However, they have to be careful of outsiders (China; USA, etc) who have already seen the potential and will cut deals with them (politicians!) and as was done before, rip them off!
    All African nations must come together as one and control their own destiny. They must be wary of foreign corporations and make sure that any agreements they go into with these nations are advantageous to the African nation.

    Turning Africa into a consumer powerhouse will help China reduce its dependency on the USA and European markets. China should see that the fight for dominance economically would make US and European markets less dependable. You can see insights of such fight in the current trade war.

      @Super North Africa was colonized by the arabs. It was not arabic/ asianic. Two driving forces for the arabs were : 1. Islamification of Africa
      2. Looting and control of the oil rich resources of the northern parts of Africa
      Having successfully conquered the northern parts of Africa didn't make those arabs loose their asian roots. Even today, the african arabs are geographically stationed in Africa while they actually live in Asia ( political, religious and economical interests). It is actually a fallacy to even call them africans. Even if any of their soccer teams can win a world cup, truth is Asia more specially the arab world will celebrate more than the true africans & will claim the victory rightfully so. You can dig deep into the archives & satisfy yourself that Egypt once only habitated by africans like those of south Sudan

    • @dsarza726
      @dsarza726 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@frederickngwenya4082 first is all your country is just a mixer between European settlers and the native African tribes so you are the last person to talk about colonization in Africa.
      Secondly the native Egyptians (Pharos)are Afro-Asiatic genes so Egypt was always more related to Asia especially Arabs.
      Thirdly Egyptians have between (5/15%) Greek and Roman (Italian) genes due to our long common history not just by occupation but with migration.
      Fourthly the Sahara dessert acts as a natural shield between Egypt and subsaharan Africa.
      In conclusion Egypt is historically, geopolitically, culturally, liguistaclly and religioslly connected to Asia just because Egypt is geographically situated in Africa that does mean it's an African country so stop labelling other countries.

      It is just a bitter pill to swallow for most colonizers. I have lived in a dual colonized SA by both Britain and Holland. The only good thing about these folks is that they were honest about their evil deeds and repentant ( whether honestly or partially , that's another topic). It will avail much if our african siblings of asian or arabic origins can honestly do some soul searching and start to put their energies towards making Africa great. As of now, you know very well that they have one leg in Africa while the other stands on the asian continent. The least said about the racists elements towards indigenous africans the better ( if you doubt this just type " racism in e.g Lybia and you will be disgusted by the level of hatred and treatment meted out against africans of african origins).
      Conclusion: Let us confront the demon of racism in Africa - uncomfortable as it is in order to build a stable and peaceful Africa based on honest grounds ( failure which we are all going to pay a heavy price because change is coming & it is not a matter of if but when)
