Had my 900. For 2 months now …KILLER SOUND… just got the 700 sub a few weeks ago ( 100 percent not optional) as far as the surrounds go ….SKIP EM..trash
Came here to say that. I compared both Bose soundbar 900 and sonos arc with sub and surround. Sonos was good for music but trash for movies - the dialogues were not clear and the music was way too overpowering even with the dialogue setting on. It was too much of a headache to constantly turn up and down the volume. Oh and you absolutely need surround speakers for Bose 900 setup - it makes a huge difference.
Hey there, fellow Caleb fans! I bought the Vizio all-in-one soundbar almost exactly one year ago today, and I can confirm it sounds extremely impressive for its price! The clarity is exceptional and it can get ridiculously loud, so you definitely don't have to worry about volume. For those of you who have a JBL Flip 5/6, I'd say it's roughly equivalent to pairing two of those together in stereo, if that helps give you any reference. Anyway, hope this helped, and always a joy watching and learning from your videos Caleb! Happy holidays!
I've been wanting to get a soundbar but unsure how exactly it would improve the sound of my TV (Hisense U6k) and I actually currently have a JBL flip 5 that I use to play music so this comparison is perfect! looks like I'll be placing my order for the Vizio!
I bought the Samsung Q990C around Black Friday and have LOVED it. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment complex so I can't play it nearly as loud as I know it's capable of, but it's been phenomenal even at lower volumes. I particularly love the "Voice enhancement" setting when watching TV shows for improved dialogue. It really makes a huge difference.
@@skywalkies77 same here lol i usually use it around 15 when playing games during day time. the maximum i went to was 30 and i turned it down after 15-20 secs to not disturb my neighbour. i cant even comprehend how loud it'll be if i push it all the way to 80+
And if you look around, you can get it for around the same price as the Q930C - so if it's a toss between those two at around the same price, it's a no-brainer
I am honestly surprised that the Nakamichi - Shockwafe 7.1.4Ch 850W Soundbar System with 10” Wireless Subwoofer, Dolby Atmos, eARC and SSE MAX for under 1k was not on this list.
We bought a Samsung Q990C about a year ago for $1100 and I cannot complain. For movies, this thing really sounds incredible. Paired with my 65" B7 OLED, it was great. Now even better with the 65" Hisense U8N :) Brightness over darkness in a bright room wins.
I have the Vizio all in one and I absolutely love it. Great sound and big bass out of this tiny box. Not full Atmos but like Caleb says this thing pulls off some amazing audio. Works great with gaming too. For $150 you can’t go wrong.
Hello I just got the sound bar the other day and I noticed that when it gets very basic the chassie vibrates. has anyone else experienced this with this sound bar or is the sound bar just maybe bad. it seems like when you bump off the base it gets a little bit vibrating at the chassy can't handle it.
@@stevensitsupportyeah keep the bass level at the default level (the solid 3 white lights in the middle when you adjust it) can also put it down a few pegs if needed. I put the bass level up 5 or 6 levels and it was way too bumpy and vibrating. I honestly leave the bass and treble at the middle default setting, have VRT:X and TvVOL off and the EQ setting on Direct, and it sounds great. I find it to be the most accurate sound you can get with this soundbar without all the processing
I’m here because Caleb told me to tell you all about the Vizio All-in-One M213AD-K8 and, well, he ain’t wrong! We have a smaller living room with little space for a subwoofer, so I bought the AIO per Caleb’s recommendation, and man oh man. I still can’t believe it was only $150. The audio fidelity is amazing. Dialogue is clear and crisp, and music sounds amazing. It also gets quite loud. The bass profile can’t quite match the low frequency rumble of a separate subwoofer, but, if you turn it up to 75% or so, it comes surprisingly close! All in all, if you’re looking for a TV audio upgrade minus the sub, the M213AD-K8 is it. Enjoy.
Awesome video! I bought the Vizio M512a-H6 about six months ago and absolutely love it! It offers a really great Atmos and 5.1 experience. The fidelity of the sound also felt like a huge upgrade versus the basic LG soundbar I upgraded from. And the subwoofer is designed to be placed in the back of a room, making it way easier to set up in rooms where a traditional home theater wouldn’t work. For the price I feel like I’m getting way more than I should be.
Agreed I got it on sale for $300 one year and it truly does feel, look and sound more premium than it should for the price. And I got a Bose 600 for the bedroom when I sit in bed once in a blue moon. And it’s amazing. Mostly used more for music
I've been watching my refurbished 2017 Samsung MU6300 from Amazon for 6 years, so I finally ordered the 85" QN90C with the Sonos system this morning! Why wait since they're on sale right now, right? I'm excited about this new living room upgrade! Thanks for posting awesome content for everyone to compare all of this stuff and help us make informed decisions!
I have the Vizio all in one for our home bar. Wall mounted paired to 75" Sony X90J. Very impressive for the cost. Our living room has the q990b and we have 2 other rooms with soundboard so a reasonable sample size in the house.
Should have also included the Samsung Q800c soundbar. It is just under 800$ and it sounds amazing and also the atmos effects are amazing. Not a lot of reviews of Q800c
just got the q990c a month or so ago and it's been amazing!! it's passthrough is also night and day better than the m512-h6 which was giving me constant DV popups on my LG tv and sound cutout. With the q990c all my issues have gone away. Plus I got it for 700!!
@@darkerthandarknessbl yea im not really comparing them from a sound perspective. Just the playback through the soundbars hdmi was so much better with the Samsung*. I had constant issues with pass through on the Vizio
I've had the Bose Soundbar900 since it was released with dual 700 bass modules and the omni jewel rears and it is a totally awesome system. I have had practically zero issues with it and the sound it produces is beyond excellent. It is crystal clear and the bass leaves absolutely nothing to be desired for. It doesn't have upward firing rears nor can it perform all the wizardry of more expensive soundbars and yet it is still truly stellar.
One thing I'm pondering as I try to decide which TV/soundbar combo I want is whether there is a big advantage to brand-matching these two things? I'm leaning heavily toward the LG G3 OLED, but I'm torn between the LG S95QR and Samsung Q990C soundbars. Would I realize a better overall experience if I matched the S95QR to the G3 because of Wow Orchestra?
I'm in the same boat as you also. I have a LG C3 and want to also know if I should go with LG S95QR with the new firmware update from earlier this spring that fixed 1st year 2022 issues with this sound bar and the benefits of LG WoW with the LG TV extra processing and speakers and stay in Brand or go mixed setup with the Sammy Q990C sound bar and rely solely on it for atmos/and general sound processing minus what the Q990C can do extra with a Sammy Tv processing with the Qsymphony?
Got a Vizio 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos system for $500 a couple of years ago (soundbar, 2 rear speakers, subwoofer) at Costco. This was the cheapest 5.1.4 system I had seen. Before that I had only been using TV speakers. This was an amazing upgrade.
@@B_Ahmed1234 no offense brother , you are going on about how cheap your system was , I was just saying there’s nothing wrong with that at all . Good price and if it Sounds good than that’s all that matters 👍🏼
@@modalsoul6511 Ah, I understand now, no worries and thanks. Yeah, I was originally planning to get just a $100 soundbar to hear dialogue more clearly. I never really thought sound was that important (I was wrong). I didn't know anything about dolby atmos and stuff, but I went down the rabbit hole when I was looking for sound bars. The system I got had a price cut at Costco, so I used my mother-in-laws membership to order it online. I never had surround sound before at home, so it was a big change to my movie/tv/gaming experience.
I bought the HT-A7000 (without subwoofer or surround speakers) and immediately returned it. Instead I bought the HT-A9 and this system is amazing. I later bought the bigger subwoofer too. I can't really blame the HT-A7000 because it's just my apartment and tv placement that doesn't work with soundbars at all. On the left I have 7 meters of open space and on the right there's just 20 cm. And because I had no surround speakers I didn't got anything but "stereo". HT-A9 solved all of the problems, especially because you can also manually adjust where the TV is placed compared to the speakers and also where your listening position is too.
What happened the HT-A7000 not float your boat??? So many reviewers raved about it. I think with any of these small bars you need dedicated back surrounds and a sub. It’s that simple. That’s why the A9 is such a great option, you get 4 speakers with up firing capabilities, the virtual center is fine, but it would be cool if Sony offered a dedicated center if desired.
I have the HT-A5000 in an awkward place. Wall directly to both sides in fact because my entertainment center sits in a corner with wall on one side and the fireplace chimney going up on the other. I'm curious what exactly didn't work about the a7000? Did you know you can add the SA-RS5 surrounds and the sub and it uses the same sound field technology the HT-A9 system uses? Just curious. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't know. These Sony soundbar systems are incredible but you need to do a lot of research and set it up correctly to get the best performance. I think the reason so many people just go with Bose or Sonos is that those sound pretty amazing out of the box. Sony not so much. But, IMO, Sony wins with the proper setup and everything tuned. I can't get over how effective the sound field tech is. I've had many real 5.1 systems and had a 7.2.4 system at one point before. Believe it or not, at lest to my ears, the Sony soundbar system setup I have now sounds better than any of them. Obviously not in some ways. Like my Klipsch 7.2.4 system put out a lot of fantastic sound. But the overall effect of surround object placement and effects is so ridiculously good with the Sony it really seems like magic.
Vizio all in one was a great purchase thanks man! Had to return one cause there was an issue with the bar heating up too much but after a simple return it works wonders and for an apartment it’s the perfect easy solution.
Caleb, today I added a Panasonic DP UB820 Ultra HD player to my TCL 65" 65QM850 TV and my Samsung Q990C soundbar. I bought all of them on sale and came in under $2,500 for everything including 2.1 HDMI cables and a couple Ultra HD DVDs. If you are ever doing a video on sub $2,500 systems, these components work well together and should be on the list. I am stunned by the video and audio quality of this system for the money. Thanks for your advice on the individual components.

Fun to watch. I have the Yamaha True X 40a (without subwoofer) and the two True X-Speaker 1A's. It was a very smooth experience connecting the set and the two rear speakers. It's a joy to use the speakers as multiroom speakers and as bluetooth speakers. They are battery powered and witching from multiroom/rear speaker to bluetooth with 1 single push on a dedicated button makes it such an easy process. I really like the concept.
I have the 990c with the LG e9 65", its amazing for movies and surprisingly really good at playing music. Negative side is that i can barely go to level 20 in volume with Atmos material without making my whole condo shake and having my neighbors bringing their pitchforks. Purchased the Sony HT-A7000 with all the bells and whistles. Main the reason for purchase was that it is a little more future proof than the Samsung that does not have hdmi 2.1 4k/120 pass through. I am a big fan of virtual surround sound. Even though it is not quite as good as a rear speaker setup I really appreciate being able to break it down to one device without having to spread multiple speakers everywhere. The Sennheiser bars are absolutely unreal and even more fascinating to use because it is so hard to wrap your head around the fact that this single device infront of you can trick your mind into believing that an airplane just flew right above your head from behind your back. Thats some proper German engineering right there!

My company (Sonova) just bought out Sennheiser about a year ago or so, and I gotta say, I'm pretty stoked. As a musician and a hearing care provider I love seeing the best of both worlds. Sennheiser and Sonova come together. Sonova is the largest hearing aid manufacturer and Audiology company and are now combined with what I consider to be a big underdog in the acoustic arena. Things are looking up.....and also, the employee discount doesn't hurt either. :) Looking at the Ambeo Max. Looks similar to the Dragon model.
I own the Roku Stream Bar and the Vizio M213AD-K8 and I am very satisfied with their performance. They work great in TVs located in my bedrooms. I have both Bose 900 and Sonos arc and the 900 is a lot better if we are only comparing sound bars
Had my 900. For 2 months now …KILLER SOUND… just got the 700 sub a few weeks ago ( 100 percent not optional) as far as the surrounds go ….SKIP EM..trash
@@modalsoul6511 I feel the same way. Sound bar plus sub is amazing and not talked about enough but the rear speakers are incredibly disappointing
Did my dude just casually shred on the horn?? lol Love it!
hahaha, i was thinking the same thing.
No one is "shredding the horn" lol, Caleb knows the rules and he is very Classy. Not as Classy as Classytech, but Classy.....
Same, I don’t think I ever gone over 20 yet
@@skywalkies77 same here lol i usually use it around 15 when playing games during day time. the maximum i went to was 30 and i turned it down after 15-20 secs to not disturb my neighbour. i cant even comprehend how loud it'll be if i push it all the way to 80+
Voice enhancement makes everthing sound too tinny and high pitched to my ears
I got the Q990C paired with an LG C2 and I have to say this combo rocks, for Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos movies or shows it is a great combination...
And if you look around, you can get it for around the same price as the Q930C - so if it's a toss between those two at around the same price, it's a no-brainer
the q990c will be my go to system once my q950A kicks the bucket. As far as bang for your buck soundbars go. Samsung is the best IMO.
Best of both worlds
@@supertrexandroidx yes, I got for around a thousand dollars
@@supertrexandroidx If you're a AAA member, you can get a way better deal.
I am honestly surprised that the Nakamichi - Shockwafe 7.1.4Ch 850W Soundbar System with 10” Wireless Subwoofer, Dolby Atmos, eARC and SSE MAX for under 1k was not on this list.
I have the Sony AT-H9 with the SW5. I don't miss my discreet amplifier system at all. It is amazing.
Same here. Congrats
Bought the Vizio M213AD-K8 for my apartment to match my 65" ULED. Sounds amazing! Bass was the biggest surprise, it kicks.
I bought the Vizio soundbar for my office based on your previous soundbar reviews. For the price I absolutely love it. Thanks for the tip!
Bought the Vizio M512a-h6 after watching your last Best soundbars video an im glad it still makes the list. What a great recommendation. Thank you
We bought a Samsung Q990C about a year ago for $1100 and I cannot complain.
THE TRUMPET 🔥🎺
I have the Vizio M12a-h6 and I absolutely love it. It routinely goes on sale for $399 and every now and then you can catch it around $350.
that trumpet shit was mad lit
Enjoy.
im buying one now today because of these type comments 😅
@rubensosa3154 you won't regret it. Puts out an amazing amount of sound for its size.
Totally agree on the Vizio all in one sound bar, I've owned it for a few months and it's awesome
Blud I cannot even compare the vizio to the the samzung q990c because the vizio is budget friendly and the Samsung pure quality
I mean you
@@darkerthandarknessbl yea im not really comparing them from a sound perspective. Just the playback through the soundbars hdmi was so much better with the Samsung*. I had constant issues with pass through on the Vizio
Fair for the buck
Where df did you get it for 700? That's a great used price!
Awesome informative video
I have the q990b +S95c for the q symphony.
I can't be happier. It's loud with surround sound and atmos
I love the breakdown in terms of affordability. So well presented.
Don’t compete brother … buy what’s optimum for you and leave it at that.
@@modalsoul6511
Compete with who?
No idea what you are on about man, lol.
@@B_Ahmed1234 no offense brother , you are going on about how cheap your system was , I was just saying there’s nothing wrong with that at all .
Good price and if it Sounds good than that’s all that matters 👍🏼

Ah, I understand now, no worries and thanks.
Which one should I buy Samsung Q900C vs Bose Smart Ultra?
Will there be a review on the 930c ?
oh my god, that trumpet intro just melted my heart! 👏👏👏
Mine too!!💖
Vizio all in one was a great purchase thanks man! Had to return one cause there was an issue with the bar heating up too much but after a simple return it works wonders and for an apartment it’s the perfect easy solution.
I know one thing I won't be buying another tv without watching you first!you really know your stuff
I have the Sony HT-A7000 paird up with the Sony SA-RS5. It packs a punch with a good base and great surround sound.
Great price but the tcl is definitely the weaker link
My dad recently gave me his 55” TV. I got myself an Apple TV to pair with my HomePod mini and I really like the sound for my apartment
Hey Caleb! I’m a very quiet viewer of your channel and just came here to Thank you and your team for the awesome job you guys do. Kudos to the high production quality of all your videos. I watch them von Apple TV connected to my Sony TV and you guys rock!!
Thanks again for the awesome content, wish you and your team a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy holiday season!! 🎊 ❤
Wow. Thanks so much!
Comprehensive selection ! Both in range and in price ! No disappointments there ! Well done !
I have the 990c with the LG e9 65", its amazing for movies and surprisingly really good at playing music. Negative side is that i can barely go to level 20 in volume with Atmos material without making my whole condo shake and having my neighbors bringing their pitchforks. Living on the top floor doesn't make it better either.. A
Dude! The trumpet!! You killed it :) The many layers of Caleb!! Poet, punster, musician aaaannnddd the best tech and TV reviewer on the planet :) Appreciate you man!
Natural Comedian, also
Purchased the Sony HT-A7000 with all the bells and whistles. Main the reason for purchase was that it is a little more future proof than the Samsung that does not have hdmi 2.1 4k/120 pass through. Trying to get the Dragon in my part of the world is almost impossible as would have splurged on that it if it was a possibility.
Thank you for this review. I was looking to replace my 5 year old Vizio SB3651-F6 soundbar due to hearing popping sounds while playing music and got the Vizio M512a-H6 brand new on Amazon for $350.
Hey Caleb! Just a correction on the comment you made about the JBL soundbars, the Bar 800 & Bar 1000 have USB-C charging ports on their detachable speakers. I haven't had experience with the Bar 1300, but i'd assume it'd be included with that system too. Hope this helps, love the vids!
I am debating between the Vizio m512a-h6 for 360$ or the Vizio m elevate for 500$. Is the price difference worth to step up to the m series elevate?
What is a great picture quality tv that allows a sound bar to sit underneath the tv without obstructing the view?
Thanks in advance Caleb and the versus videos are great and maybe better than doing a single review on one

always fun to stay up to date on your best list of soundbars, Caleb! thanks for putting together a list that pretty much allows an option for everyone. it's wild how much there is out there for anyone who wants to get into bettering their audio setup for tvs :)

The Polk Magnifi AX SR is also a good budget friendly system
I just bought the Samsung 930c a few weeks ago and love it. The wireless rear channel surrounds are just what I was looking for.
This thing packs a punch!!
Get out of my head! I was just researching this on my own. THANK YOU! Also, major props for playing the actual trumpet intro!ff
I have the Vizio M51AX-J6 combined with the Sony A80L 65" tv. Great sound for the price. I even got friends to buy it. They were skeptical at first until they heard it. Thank you for making this soundbar known Caleb. I have seen all of your content. Great job.👍👍
Pleased you appreciated the Q930C. I bought the Q930B last year in the black friday sales and the sound is amazingly good. Yes it's not quite as good as it's 990 bigger brother but your getting 90% of the quality for a significantly lower price. I paid the equivalent of 500 bucks for the 930B system last year and that was a steal.
I bought the Sennheiser Ambeo MAX a few years back and absolutely love it.... I have it connected to my REL HT-1205 Sub which works amazing.... I'm still trying to fine tune the sub settings CROSSOVER and LEVEL but even though it's not optimally tuned, it makes a huge different. Before I bought the sub the Sennheiser Ambeo MAX sounded amazing, highly recommend if it's within budget.
Thank you for the great video. Since I know very little about soundbars, I am looking to replace my out-dated Bose Accustimass system with that HUGE subwoofer which has been taking up a ton of floor-space. Question, can you connect a soundbar (and sub) to a receiver or, do you even need a receiver?
Senheiser Ambeo max is my aspirational sound bar.
Hey Caleb, why did you exclude the Sennheiser Ambeo Max?

Very nice set up. I like you went lcd over oled. I feel like they're overhyped I miss my lcd tvs after owning 2 oleds.
Any surround speakers coming soon for the Ambeo plus?
Sennheiser warranty support is a mess.. hope that changes
I own the Roku Stream Bar and the Vizio M213AD-K8 and I am very satisfied with their performance. They work great in TVs located in my bedrooms. In my main living room, I have the "older" Samsung Q950A, which sounds amazing. It's over 2 years old so I can only imagine how the newer models sound.
I enjoy your content and how informative it is. Keep up the great work!
love my Bose soundbar 900 so far
Which setup would be best for an open living room with vaulted ceilings?
I always thought that having a cheap 300-400 AV receiver pair with 7 cheap speakers could always beat out a soundbar. Boy o boy Samsung 990c proved me wrong. It’s a beast. The only upgrade from this one I might consider might Dragon 🐉
What about the polk audio Magnify Maxx. YOu did the mini just now do the Maxx
Q990b is already amazingly good for most people. The amount of power it pumps out should fill most living rooms.
