when you are done with the masking tape, remove it from the car and place in an envelope, put a label on the envelope and write old used masking tape, then take the envelope to the nearest trash container and discard it

These only last 2 years tops in an area where heat is an issue. Bird droppings and heat killed my 3M stripes. Major disappointment.

I just had my new car pin striped and it has so many small bubbles in the vinyl stripes. The decaler said they would flatten on their own? Really?
Yes it will, the sun 🌞 works and flattens it out, it takes time though. Should be good in a few weeks,

I was the first one to use them on my Audi A4 from the gurgaon 3m back in 2014 they even uploaded my car on their FB profile Dp. white Audi with black stripes and the car looked dope ppl use to click pictures and asks me about the stripes now I drive a plain white gle without any stripes. I miss those days.

Anyone know how long to keep your car protected after vinyl application? Like do I keep it out of the rain or sun or not use the car altogether for a certain amount of time so the vinyl can full adhere to the car?

Don't try dry method. It simply doesn't work on anything but the smallest decals because air bubbles happen no matter how hard you try. You can't press them together if dry and the result will be a mess.
these are specifically designed to go on dry, they have air egress channels that allow the air bubbles to come out.
Well they don't work very well at all.
1080 is designed to apply dry as it has the 3M air release adhesive. Simply, if you get bubbles in this stuff you should give up and get it done professionally.
I actually got some stripes cut from the 1080 series wrap after my first comment and they were the easiest vinyl stripes I've ever applied. went on dry with ease and ZERO bubbles at the end. any air bubbles just flows out with using a vinyl squeegee. I accidentally had a large, sliver dollar sized, air bubble and with a little pressure and squeegee'ing, it was gone.
I can't see using any other vinyl product if you're an amateur like me installing vinyl in your own garage.
The video skips over pretty well all bubble removal. Did you have to move bubbles? It also skips over how he removed that large crease at front of hood. With 70% alcohol its permanent lock in seconds.
