When we installed it we use the dowel that was provided, which was pretty easy.

Not sure if it matters, but the instructions that came with my BajaRon sway bar indicate the bolt heads should face out with the nylon nut on the inside when attaching the end links. Using a small dab of super glue to temporarily secure the spacers to the end links was recommended, especially for the upper part of the end link (I did all four). Also, it wasn’t necessary to whittle the bushings to aide in my installation as long as they’re aligned straight in.

Hello Gary....like I mentioned in the description... we've done over a thousand installations, that's the way we do it..... to each is own..... main part is to get it installed.

@@pierre-spydertvpoliquin-sp9082 No ill intent with my comment. Yes, I agree. To each their own. I was just pointing out the differences with the instructions that came with the BajaRon sway bar and my personal experience with the installation. My apologies if I offended you.

I’m trying to use the new washer on the existing bolt I took off. The link washer will not slide on to existing bolt. Any solutions for the fix. Thanks

Like many of us DIYers, I do not have a bike lift. I do have wheel ramps that will lift the wheels 7 inches off the ground, do you think this is high enough to drop the sway bar? If it makes a difference I do have the 2020 RTL.

With your wheel ramps, dig a hole deep enough under the side you will remove the bar. Put the bike on the ramps and proceed.

@@brianscrivener4670 Thanks, Brian. But that won't work on a garage cement floor.

IMHO, invest in a motorcycle lift from harbor freight. It’ll come in handy for more than installing your sway bar. You’ll want the 24” clearance. I used 4x8x16 inch solid cinder blocks from Home Depot to incrementally get the recommended height. This was the hardest part of the installation for me, but it worked well.

You need at least 22 inches for lift.
