Dr. Chung, thanks for explaining this. I find that lying down after a sits bath does help the hemorrhoids to shrink back. The problem is it takes a good part of my morning to shower after a BM, sitz bath, then lay down before I am ready to leave the house for the day. It seems my life evolves around this every day and. I feel I want my life back and to be able to feel free to leave the house earlier in the day. After two surgeries and several bandings over the last 25 years, I guess I need to accept this as a fact of my life now. Please continue to make your videos, they really help so much.
27 years of being in a wheelchair has brought me here. The past couple of years have been hard on the old O ring. I have been watching your videos the way the old folks watch the Twilight marathon on Thanksgiving day, one after another. The best thing is that I'm local to your office. I may need to cruise by for a check under the hood. Thanks for all the info!
Yes ,they do change shape. I have been noticing that since last three days. I have had some flares in the past but they would disappear in a few days like in two or three days. But his one seems to be different.
I love your videos and your energy! I have a question, that's on a different subject. Have you ever made a video about diverticulosis? I was just diagnosed with that and I wanted to learn more about it. I'm sure information from you would be more reliable than Google. 😉
THANK YOU! I have learned a great deal from watching your videos that has greatly helped me navigate the care to my hemorrhoids including visits to a Rectal Surgeon. Banding has been used to greatly improve my symptoms. I have never heard you mention using witch hazel to cleanse rectum post bowel movement. Could you please mention your thoughts about this in a future video. Thanks again for making me feel much more confident in dealing with my hemorrhoids.
I went to the pelvic floor physiotherapist yesterday and when I came home in the evening I felt a lump on my butthole... Fortunately, I watched this video earlier - I controlled my panic a bit, made a few relaxation excercises, laid down and after about 30 minutes everything was absorbed! This video was a godsend 😂 Thank you ❤❤❤ Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a connection between anal fissures and external hemmoroids! Dear Doctor - maybe you could discuss this topic sometime!! 🙏🙏🙏
7:07 ugh I’ve had that. I have a dark purple one though I think it flares sometimes. Idk CRS was not concerned. It’s all very painful and awful, I’ve had mixed hemms and fissure 4 years now…
hi dr chung i hope you reply.. my hemorrhoids are so severe that after i poop im always (if the stool is hard but sometimes even not hard) having a fever and chills after i poop when i feel pain and see blood in my atools. any recommendations for at least to avoid the fever and chilling effects every time i poop ? because i accept this struggle and pain that it will never heal and it will be there until the rest of my life in this situation its hard to find a job that suits my health 😢
I think all MD's should be forced to lay down and have their own procedures done themselves so they know what it is like for these patients. Getting a rectal exam anoscope or proctiscope ion offices with no medicines
It was so very informative doc Chung, i watch and still watching even your old video just to get tips even i watch before. I have prolapse hemmoroids grade 1-2 Stable and my doctor gave me Daflon 500 for 90days and im currently taking it. It is my 3rd month already my doctor said it will Shrink but the size is almost the same, but the symptoms is not there anymore. Why it doesn't shrink? Do i have improvement in that case ? I don't have bleeding and itching and pain. Technically with the aid of your videos i was to atleast manage my hemmorroids. I was planning to buy pranicura cream also. Thank you dr Albert.. Thank you 🙏
Once the blood vessels are stretched, they’re not going all the way back. Daflon and citrus flavonoids do work for minor issues but it sounds like you might need an operation for complete remission
@Gordy-fj1jy but my prolapse comes out when I poop and it retract back again. My doctor said nothing to do with it unless there bleeding or it bothers me personally.. any opinion are welcome thanks..
Can an internal hemorrhoid ever be confused for a tumor on a colonoscopy? I am being followed by a GI dr. but feel something isn’t right. Shld I seek a the care of a proctologist? I have lower back issues also, does that contribute to the muscle prob. In addition to hypermobility spectrum disorder like EDS. I Didn’t know a channel like this existed. I’m trying to learn pelvic floor health since a hysterectomy. Thx.
I'm on day 3 post-op, and I've had several BMs, the first was the day after surgery. But it now is constant pressure down there. It seems by bum is constantly open or something and I do see what looks like a hemmeroid pertruding or something idk I'm just ready to feel better!
Dr. Chung, thanks. i have fresh small blood in my stool , my stool big in diameter at that time and hard. now my dr. advive me mavarine tab, daflon 500mg and oniment. but i have a problem of IBS also. i have pain in my legs , lower back, uniary bladder. and sharp pain in my back of my anas above 3 inch. and also observe swalling in lower back. is any sugeestion for me. thanks again.
What ks a dark purple almost black hemm indicate? It is one that is prolapsing. It’s been that way for a couple years now. Drs were not concerned. 2 CRS
Hey Dr Chung, my friend needs advice. She’s had an object stuck in her rectum for about 5 hours now and for discretions sake she’s not going to a doctor unless this will kill her. I’m doing a lot of research on solving this. So far only thing I’ve got that feels like it might help is your video on how you relax your anal muscles. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Ten years ago i was snowboarding and fell on my butt going 30 mph. I bounced and bounced before stopping. I felt a sharp, shooting pain in my anus. From that point on i had problems related to hemorrhoids. Is trauma a common cause ?
Doctor chung i have hemorrhoids my pain radiate to may left back and lower stomach ... but i have no blood in my poop then my poop last was hard and quite large yelow brown color "my pain now is in my butt left right radiate to my left back
@@Joe-yg7sr honestly I remember now I seen that video. Basically he was saying that the bad thing about them is although they lessen the pain by reducing pressure in the area they can still be bad if used too frequently. The internal hemorrhoids get bigger when they are allowed room to swell and protrude freely instead of being pushed back inside and that was his point. But if you have external then you should be good with using a donut
Okay so after a really bad painful flare up I willingly fasted from food for 3 days drinking only water. My hemorrhoids bothered me for more than 3 years but as I write this I’m pain free. They’re inside and I’ve been using prep h suppositories and antibiotics. I just hope they’ve finally calmed down after all these years but I still feel some blockage. Thinking of buying a sitz bath just for that muscle relaxation
Honestly, my advice, get it checked out. They can cauterize the blood vessels and it’ll make life a lot better. Personally, I also found citrus flavonoids very effective too
@@Gordy-fj1jy i’ve seen a few. Had one that sent me to get a sigmoidoscopy when they were obviously protruding then another told me that surgery is my only option. Finally I went to a FNP who told me the knife surgery was a last resort since mine went back inside. Did you get a procedure?
@ Mine never protruded so I had Infrared photocoagulation done twice. Then I started on flavonoids similar to Daflon (we don’t have that in the US). In your case, I’d consider going under the knife. But only if multiple surgeons agreed that the laser or photo coagulation or banding won’t work
Thanks for the info. I always enjoy learning from your videos. But honestly - just my opinion - the cutaways to video clips and silly voices are distracting. I get that you want to make this fun, but I'd rather just have the regular presentation. I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job, just sharing my viewpoint.
