    Watched this video earlier today, went to Home Depot to buy the same exact blade, worked perfectly! Thank you so much! Saved me a ton of work trying to dig the post out.

    Oh my! And no sparks!! Who needs an expensive angle grinder? Thanks for sharing. Great demo. Hope this works on my chain link fence!

    Hey Jason, you could’ve just press down on the blade until it was flush with the ground and still cut off the pipe flush with ground. It would bend the blade a bit, but it would have worked. Like your video though. Great production👍

      Ya, I totally agree! But for the video, I wanted a clean-cut and was a little concerned about thrashing the blad against the cement. I'll go back later and cut that nub off now that I feel more confident about it.

      I take that back I have an 18 volt Ryobi. I use as a sander most often. Any resistance it cuts out so it’s no good for cutting. Yes a corded one is on the list!

    Trip Hazzard... you could've use the tip end to cut while flexing the blade so that it would cut at ground level

    What if pipe is filled with concrete? And bigger diameter, like 4 inches and steel that is 1/4 inch thick, will that blade do the steel, but not the concrete? And of course the post is up against a interior wall! Oh and thanks for using a tripod mostly, shaky video's are a pain in the eyeball, great job.

    • @Jasonsdesignshop
      @Jasonsdesignshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh you got a tuff one to cut! You can try just cutting the steel the brake the cement once the steel is cut, oh but your up agents the house and can’t go around the pipe just cutting the metal. Ok try a handheld grinder. Those disk blades can go right through the steel and cement. wonderblade.com/product/toughgrit-diamond-blade-for-angle-grinders-4-5/?aff=15

    Hi, Jason! I’m so happy I found your video! I have the same post I need to cut. Do you think I could use the 6- or 9-inch blade instead? Thanks.

    • @Jasonsdesignshop
      @Jasonsdesignshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure and I learned You can push it down against the cement , the blade will bow and give you a flush cut.

  • @mikee33oo
    @mikee33oo 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

    A thinner blade would work so much quicker and easier.. that blade you're using is for thick metal taking thick chunks... Those tubes are like 1.5/16th inch, which is actually pretty thin,

    • @Jasonsdesignshop
      @Jasonsdesignshop  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@mikee33oo ya but it makes a clean cut! I should have pushed it down against the cement let it flex and cut it flush.

    • @Jasonsdesignshop
      @Jasonsdesignshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did it wrong. Push and bend the blade down against the cement and it will cut it flush without damaging the blade even though it’s rubbing against the cement.

      True the blades with the smallest teeth are usually for cutting metal.
