Brisbane desperately needed at least 6 iconic features that is instantly recognisable worldwide. This stadium fits that objective. The FIFA world cup ( Italy) and the Olympics ( Munich) set the standard for stadiums.
Of course many locations along the river needed to be updated. The Gateway Bridge and its scrap metal ' installations' need work.
But congratulations on your project . I have no doubt it will succeed just because it projects confidence and charisma.

Well just like that, Brisbane has completely shat the bed. Brisbane wants to play with the big boys, but with a shoestring budget.
The temporary seating at the Gold Coast CommGames looked awful compared to what was presented in presented in renders. Looks like Brisbanes going down the same path.
Even Perth is more prepared for and Olympics.
