I just discovered your channel and it makes me feel way more calm and happy about the fact that im going to have a newborn in 2 weeks. Your outlook and advice is so helpful and motivating. Thank you
I had a precious baby 6 weeks ago (my second) and I need to remind myself regularly that I don't look like I'm 21 anymore because my body grew and birthed 2 sweet peas, which is a big thing!
Due in 2 weeks and very nervous about the post partum journey because growing up no one talked about it. Everyone talks about labor but not the aftermath and future.
My tip: surround yourself with feminist moms that talk "real talk" because you will need people to be honest with, too. That's SO important! I hope everything is great!
Hello from Thailand. My wife is 38 week pregnant and our baby is coming anytime now. We’ve been watching your channel for the past 4-5 months and I have to say your positive energy shines across the continents. Please keep making these VDOs and we’ll support you all along the way.
I really appreciated that you mentioned that this is just not an area we have a lot of control over. I think all of us would choose our new bodies over our old ones in order to get our children. I feel like the guilt and meanness to ourselves comes when we really think we can have our children and experience no change. Some bodies DO go back quickly, some do the first time but not the second. Some never go back period and unless surgery is an option, my stomach will never be flat again. No amount of dieting and exercise will "undo" what my body has done. I'm not saying that to be discouraging, I'm saying that a lot of us need to give ourselves a break, be thankful we have our babies and work towards being as happy and grateful in the body we're in. Stop feeling guilty and shameful about something that is not your fault. And celebrate everyone's body because it's theirs and that's beautiful. ❤️
I also hate when woman shame each other for not loving their bodies after. It is okay to not love your stretch marks and miss your old body, it doesn't mean you don't appreciate you have a baby!
I love the authenticity you speak and share with. Thank you so much. Your videos have been a life send for me during my first pregnancy. Due in April and I’m feel so much more calm about post already. I’m going to save this one to rewatch when I forget these beautiful teachings. Thank you
Thank you for the encouragement! It's so hard when you see others "bounce back" postpartum. I'm 15 weeks along with my 3rd and I've had them back-to-back. Since I've nursed, I always held on to weight and then get pregnant again before I can lose it. This helped a lot.
This video couldn’t come at a better time. I am 9 weeks postpartum and still 10 kilo’s above my prepregnancy weight. I feel very insecure at times too. I find that for me, living in the ‘now’ really helps. I don’t let myself think that I will never look like this or that anymore. I will just be patient. Thank you so much for your honesty and insight Jessica.
This is a big scare for me. I'm 6 months pregnant but before getting pregnant I was very fitness focused. I went to the gym 6x per week, counted calories, the whole shibang. Now I don't count calories and I go to the gym 4x per week, but I've gained a lot of weight and I'm a little scared about my post-partum body. I know I shouldn't be because my body is literally creating a miracle right now, but it's hard. As you said, there are these expectations for women to "bounce back" and I know I have that in my own mind. So thank you for this video! It's good to know that I'm not alone, and that every pregnancy is different.
Just remember that the work you put in creating habits of diet and exercise are the best result of working out all those years. No matter what you look like after pregnancy, you have the mindset to live to those standards again. You know how to do it! Because that's what's important, how you feel and what you do. Even if it takes time to bounce back , or your body has changed, you can get to a place where you are satisfied with your own balance!
Don’t apologise for taking flattering photos. If that makes you feel more body confident then go for it! We all need to support each other’s journey and sometimes a good outfit or a nice photo just makes all the difference to our day. Well done you for your journey so far, your little boy is beautiful and so are you 😘
Gave birth in December gained 60 lbs during that pregnancy, well I'm currently 180 lbs and 10 weeks pregnant with number two and I've been racking my brain over these terrible details,I needed to hear this thank you! And you are a doll!
This is exactly my same story! My baby boy was my 2nd baby and he was 8lb 9oz Soooo big! Im enjoying my baby and eating for him. I got off social media and just stay connected with my friends via texting because of all the comparison and i don't want my daughter to see that as a good thing. You are beautiful! I love your outfit!
I love your channel. I have binge watched since I found it. I'm almost 10 weeks postpartum. I feelt like my body looked great considering I just gave birth when I was in the hospital. I haven't lost any weight, and it sucks that I don't fit in most of my clothes, but I feel the same as you, I will just replace everything that is too small and embrace the new me.
This is amazing. Thank you for sharing your heart and thoughts! I'm due in 4 weeks with my first, and I can be so critical of myself already. The comparisons are rough!
Thank you for this reminder I am 12 weeks postpartum with my third baby and it’s gotten harder to bounce back each time! I don’t like my squishy belly but I do remeber when I look at Asher that my body made him through God of course!
Aaw so cute! As he’s handed over to your friend his body is so limp and new! My 1 and 3 year olds never stay so still!!😍 My body especially my stomach is covered in deep stretch marks that have affected my confidence at times. With exercise, I am still trying to gain some confidence in myself but I am blessed with my two girls and try to remember that it was all worth it for them!💕
My confidence has taken a huge hit after my first baby 7 weeks ago. I cry almost everyday, I started working out a week ago, but I still have stretch Mark's all over my stomach and thighs. I am pre-baby weight, yet I look bigger still and my body just looks jiggly and has zero muscle tone. I know it's only been 7 weeks, and only a week of me working out and eating right, but it still is really hard. I've never been this insecure of myself.
Amanda Hi Amanda! Before my first baby, I was working out 5 days a week in the gym lifting weights even up to the day before I went into labour. Throughout my pregnancy as I began to grow stretch marks I was so upset because I had always been so obsessed with my body and perfecting it in the gym. After your first baby, your body goes back to itself very quickly so don’t be too worried. It will happen and one day you’ll realise that you do look good that day and hopefully your mindset will change a little!😍 My second girl has just turned 2 and only now am I ‘getting my body back’. I was skinny for a long time and people can’t see anything wrong but my tummy is stretchy and my stretch marks are loose. I had health reasons I couldn’t exercise as I was losing weight but now I am working out every day and in the last month have noticed a HUGE difference in my tummy. It is almost flat and I can see strong muscle definition and with a little more work, I know the stretch marks will become taut again. I’m almost there!!💪🏻 I wish I could be less bodily conscious but it just hasn’t happened for me. I just have to do what helps me feel healthy and good and that is working out now. I have done a video every day for the last 4 weeks, a 2 week challenge, and it is helping my lower stomach so much. I think it’s called 2 week FUPA challenge. FUPA refers to the area below the belly button where we store extra fat and skin after having a baby. Amanda, don’t worry too much as your baby is only 7 weeks. Things will get better. Just try and enjoy this time as I know it’s hard with all the sleepless nights already. Rest and take care of yourself. I’m sure your partner loves you for the beautiful life you have created!💗
I am 3weeks postpartum and you totally hit on everything that I’m experiencing right now. I think my worst issue is the clothing. My pregnancy clothes are too big to wear now, but my regular clothes don’t fit and I feel like I’m in this limbo!
Thanks Jessica, I haven't had my baby yet (6 weeks to go roughly) but it's been hard this past month with everything going on and the other two kids. Thanks you are always so encouraging
I just had my 4th on June 27th and I'm totally feeling the postpartum body thing. And the comparison thing. I'm too hard on myself. Thank you for your tips and encouragement!
I'm 9 weeks.. with my 4th .. and before I had my first I was 105 lbs. Lol after I had my first I was 180. Definitely didnt feel too great about myself. Still kind of dont but after my third I waited almost 3 years before getting pregnant with this one. And I got down to 128. Lol help mostly from my gallbladder and not being able to eat and not knowing why. Anyway. I'm really nervous. But luckily instead of junk food like my three boys I actually want fruit mostly. Cooked food kind of makes me sick so. Hopefully I dont gain as much weight this time. Breastfeeding for me also makes me gain weight. Like I'll lose it the first couple weeks mostly. Then I gain it all back and I get super depressed about it. But I want to actually work harder this time. So I dont have that self confidence issue. And watching a few of your videos has helped me alot actually. Helps get me even more determined and motivated . So thank you. :)
Thank you for this xx I'm almost 8 weeks postpartum and feeling the same way as you were in this video. I'm recording my postpartum journey and this is baby number 2 for me Aswell and I feel like my body is just going backwards lol
How old are you? I jus had a baby in my late 30's 3 weeks ago and my bounce back for my body is way different from when I was in ny 20s. Ps. I love your channel!
Do you pump before you go swimming so that someone can take care of your baby? What do you do and how do you prepare your baby when you go swimming? I'm struggling to pump and I'm Desperate to go swimming again but I can't leave my son bcoz he needs me when he feeds.
Hi Jessica! congrats for your baby boy!! ...Hi everyone in here!!.. im 5 months pregnant, and i have 2 questions , 1st question is, If you used and still using a postpartum belly wrap ? if yes What brand did u bought? 2nd question: If you used any belly support during the last months of ur pregnancy. cause my older sister backhome she never used during her pregnancy and she develop a hernia :/ They said that is very IMPORTANT to wrap your belly after you give birth to help your body to recover. i would like to know how that worked for you Jessica...or Any of the women in here if use any postpartum belly wrap?... that are having babies or already did. Thanks you in advance to everyone who can answer any of these this questions
Here's to people saying the wrong things lol! Like the grocery clerk who congratulated me on expecting again.......I'm not expecting. Or my husband who mentioned my pooch being weird. Sigh. Sorry, today has been a tough day.
I was the opposite. I didnt gain a lot of weight until I started my third trimester and that worried me cause everyone would tell me my bump is too small or that I didn’t look pregnant at the time. Mind you this is my first. Now that I have a month to go I’ve been gaining weight pretty quickly. I don’t mind it cause I know my baby’s growing and she’s healthy. Plus I’ve been eating way too much 🙈
I just discovered your channel and it makes me feel way more calm and happy about the fact that im going to have a newborn in 2 weeks. Your outlook and advice is so helpful and motivating. Thank you
You’re giving me belle vibes! 🌹👸🏻🦁
Also been following for a second ❤️ I’m 37+2 and having a scheduled cesarean week 39. Very scared.
Goodnight Moon I see it!

LOVE what you said about “actively celebrating other women”. Wow. That is GOLD right there! Such an encouraging video thank you for this!

This is great advice. I'm 6 weeks post pardum and am struggling with this very thing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and advice.
